Hawkeye shows up in New York: the Avengers beat Loki and save the world. Hawkeye shows up in Sokovia: the Avengers beat Ultron and save the world again. Hawkeye leaves for like five minuets: the Avengers split in half and start getting ready to fight each other. Hawkeye leaves for two years: half the universe dies.
Well he started here with it on the Team sort of so I'd consider 2 still doesn't change the Risk using the one they did have that wasn't made useless. Really at the point they had to use the Time stone it was too late anyways.
With how Starlord has reacted in the past, like how he instantly tried to blow Ego away when he discovered he killed his mother, it doesn't surprise me that he reacted that way.
If Starlord freaks about his mom to kill his dad and give up god powers, he will go 2 times the anger for his Alien Green GF. Space can be a lonely when your surrounded by Batista, a Raccoon, and a talking Tree, I’d be mad if my only lady friend was killed

Doctor strange saw the future so he knew the only way to win was to hand over the time stone and let thanos win the first battle so they could win the war
Otso Tuurna no, he specifically stated beforehand that he would let Tony and Peter die every time if it meant he could protect the stone. He gave the stone because it was the only way they could win, that's why afterward he states that it is now time for the end game.
Kewl Potato Fucking everyone screamed in disbelief as the credits rolled. My favourite reaction was a guy who kicked my chair behind me in pure shock. Lol
That was actually too much... They went overboard with that one tbh. The difference in his magic capabilities between his first movie and then here in Infinity War is TOO MUCH!
@@robel3786 dude, Doctor Strange had time to study and expand his knowledge of the magic arts between films.. At least he isn't as OP as he is in the comics.. yet..
The 2 deaths that got me were Spiderman and Black Panther, where T'Challa just says, "Here is no good place for you to die," and then he disintegrates.
Peter Dinklage (Eitri): It will kill you!!! Chris Hemsworth (Thor): Only if I die!!! Peter Dinklage (Eitri): yes, that's what killing you meanss!!!... LoL
The gamer with a bad Name I get this but Spider Man was literally one second away from getting the gauntlet, How wouldn’t that have been a win for the avengers? All he had to do was shut star lord up and they would have had the gauntlet. Dr. Strange could have then sent the gauntlet to another dimension or something. Also, can’t the time stone stop time? Would have been an easy win but couldn’t dr strange just stop time and steal the gauntlet? Or restart the fight once they lost?
Really Good Gaming maybe Thanos by being in possession of other stones he could have used those to counter the time stone effects since he had 4 and Strange has only one
what got a good laugh outa me was when Eitri said to Thor It will kill you and Thor say's only if I die and Eitri said um that's what killing you means .
Hank Hill the first 5 minutes of the movie you can hear an sos coming from the asguardian ship from Thor 3 and it turns out thanos came on board and it was a fucking massacre. All you see are bodies. Hiemdol is dead. Thanos killed loki and basically everyone else as far as I know. So Thor is basically the last asguardian left and yet he still keeps a smile on his face except for one moment
Hank Hill He almost killed Thanos. His axe literally went through Thanos' Infinity Gauntlet blast when he had all the stones and hit Thanos in the chest and almost killed Thanos if he had aimed for the head.
Eric D. His impulse and immaturity is why he was easily snapped out of Ego’s trance. His character is sometimes beneficial and sometimes detrimental, which is why this scene just, well , fits
Slaschur strange should have cut thanos' arm with the portal spell when struggling to take off the gauntlet but then again, it could have been part of the plan.
Mirnes Trto or just straight up decapitate him with a portal and be done with it. 14 million different possibilities... we have no idea what they tried in those. Too bad he disintegrated before he could explain himself more.
Conrad Lecroy in the comics he comes back and ends up becoming even more powerful. I hope they go with those king of the dead storylines. would make blackpanther more badass.
Captain America, Thor, and Iron Man all lived because they are the longest running, largest grossing character films they Marvel has. The other characters had their one off solo films for the most part and were completed. No need to keep them around. Guardians 3, Black panther 2, Spider-man reboot 7, what's the point?
Bryan Cloutier black panther could definetley pull of a trilogy. And this take on spider man is different enough to warrant one as well. Plus disney gonna make bank off both those franchises. They coming back 100%
Star Lord is a child who ran away and left his mother to die rather than accept her death. As a result, he is *still* immature and childlike. But he is maturing- in part due to his romance with gamora.
Also why Strange never attempted to stop Quill from knocking Thanos out of the trance. He knew Quill’s uproar was part of the 1 timeline they won against Thanos.
Damn... you just reminded me that Rocket indeed lost everyone.... that def ties into his character development in GOTG2... :{ His biggest fear of being alone....came true.
Peter: "Where is Gamora?!" Tony: "I'll do you one better, who is Gamora?!" Drax: "I'll do you one better, why is Gamora?!" 😄😄 Since you mentioned Scarlett Witch and Vision being together, what did you think of Star Lord and Gamora being together ? Best MCU film ever
It was a Comic Love Story done so Well half the Populace Completely missed how Big it was. GotG tries to die for her and Tries to get her into Music GotG 2 Shes the one whos there for Support with Everything Also Mantis points out he Loves her IW We go to Our Guardians and they have Music goin and Gamora is into it the thing Quill Loves She asks the Impossible of him and he tries to Honor it.
I know it is the AngryJoeShow, Joe; but you should have let Alex and the "other Joe" talk more. It's clear that Alex wanted to say more but kept quiet to let you speak, and "other Joe" is just too nice to bother interrupting a lot of the time.
@@DontbeaGoof I prefer ignoring his tone of voice and consider his opinions as a different point of view. Sometimes, he strikes gold and tbh Joe has some really shitty takes sometimes anyway.
Dr Strange saw the future. He knew he had to let Thanos succeed, to beat him later and revive everyone. They'll probably just collect all 7 Dragonballs and wish them back to life with Shenron.
so the 1 out of millions chance of them winning was to surrender? NO, the reason he gave thanos the time stone because it got something to do with tony,he can't die, idk why, thanos knew him somehow. Tony is the key to their success so he won't let him die even tho it sacrifice an infinity stone
• Voiz • I kind of agreed with you. Dr. Strange clearly stated that he would let Tony and the kid die if it meant saving the time stone. Yet he gave up the stone to Thanos, BUT only after he was about to kill Stark. This says to me that the only way to beat Thanos involves Stark and that the fight on Titan never was going to have them in outcome where they won. There's a marvel cartoon that shows the original avengers (cap, iron man, Thor, hulk, Hawkeye, and black widow) defeating Thanos with a plan that Tony made up. Considering that all the original avengers are still alive at the end of the movie I can see that they might go that the same kind of path using the death of Peter to drop Stark's ego to get with Cap to stop Thanos and bring back everyone. The only thing that might be different is Cap Marvel will have some kind of role as well and that Hawkeye will go by a different name probably. Hulk also might be storing his anger because Thanos beat him down and he doesn't want to fight anyone else unless it is Thanos.
Yep, I can’t wait. I don’t even have kids yet but leading up to Infinity war and endgame will never be repeated. Everything past no way home has been dogshit
She want protecting bison per day. She was the back up plan to destroy the Infinity stone in case shit went wrong. She couldn’t do it and saw that if she didn’t jump in they would have lost the battle field.
You know when they called up Peter and said "Hey we want you to play as a dwarf!" he was right on the verge of hanging up and they said "wait wait wait! we'll make you 15ft tall!"
I think he was more like ok you can have me in Infinity Wars but then you send some of them over to GOT. I dont wanna dye there so i need some help there. And so the Ending of Got will become the Shodown of Tyrion and the Night King. And it be something like Night King: You cant stop me i have an Army Tyrion: We have a Hulk.
Give star lord sympathy, he had to watch all of his original family die, he had to kill his own father, and watch his adopted father die, his mother die, and to hear the woman he loves was killed. He breaks, who wouldn’t.
ResoGamer Compare the the three’s mental power, we see Drax is one mentally strong motherfucker in GOTG 2 when Mantis feels what Drax feels and she is crying her eyes out while Drax is calm and Gamora is lived and trained by Thanos ofc she got god mental game but Peter is just a scavenger
The Top Ten Things most people didn't get from watching Infinity War (serious non-clickbait edition): 1. Scarlet Witch and the Mind Stone Wanda can destroy the Mind Stone because her powers are psychic in nature. She possesses the "similar frequency" of power that Vision theorises can cause its molecular structure to fail. Sure, Thor is more powerful, but he doesn't possess power of the right kind. 2. Thanos' use of the Stones Everyone noticed that whenever Thanos used the Gauntlet, the relevant Stone glowed to match whatever he was doing. For example, the blue Space Stone glowed whenever he teleported, and the purple Power Stone glowed whenever he destroyed anything. What some may have missed is that the one time he used the Soul Stone was extremely clever. Dr. Strange divided himself into hundreds of copies, but Thanos sees through this trick by activating the Soul Stone to find the real version. You even see the Soul Stone's blast wave cause Dr. Strange's ghostly blue "soul" to 'wobble' within his body as the fake copies of him vanish. Also, Thanos activates ALL FOUR of the Stones he has when aiming at Tony Stark to finish him off, after defeating him on Titan. That kind of hit would have not only killed Iron Man, the Soul Stone would have annihilated his very soul whilst the Space Stone tore him into countless pieces spread across the universe and the Reality Stone transformed those shreds into party balloons. No wonder Dr. Strange called for Thanos to stop! 3. Vision's Death When Thanos rips the Mind Stone out of Vision, the dead android goes all Optimus Prime on us and fades to grey. This cleverly sets up a possible plot point. In the comics, Vision has sometimes been depicted as pure white. Banner and Shuri may still be able to resurrect Vision, perhaps in a diminished, weaker and less human-sounding form that retains the new monochromatic look. 4. Stormbreaker This weapon is apparently so powerful that it can withstand the full force of all six of the Infinity Stones combined, cutting through their energies to bury itself in Thanos' chest. This may come in useful in the second part, when Hulk will no doubt want a little extra firepower in his rematch against Thanos. 5. Why the choice of deaths is so clever We all know that eventually the good guys are going to win and the damage done by the Infinity Gauntlet will be undone. So, by having the Gauntlet kill of practically all the characters who we know definitely can't stay dead, Marvel has basically just benched those people for the duration of the second half, leaving only the truly expendable characters remaining to undo Thanos' actions. The characters left standing are all those played by actors that we know are on their way out of the franchise, therefore we're left with the mystery of which of them is going to die in the attempt to 'avenge' the loss of half of all life in the universe. In a way, Thanos might as well have simply kidnapped all those who were killed by the Gauntlet, since their deaths are obviously not permanent and will be reversed soon. By removing only the definite survivors early, all the tension around who will die for real is still left in place for part two. Cap and Tony aren't safe by a long shot. 6. Thanos' focus Yes, Thanos holds back the full power of the Gauntlet throughout the entire movie. He could have used the Reality Stone alone to turn all the heroes into rabbits, or the Time Stone to collect the Mind Stone before Vision was even created. However, Thanos isn't an outright villain, and has no interest in unnecessary bloodshed. He is simply on a quest for the Stones, so that he can wipe out half of all life in the universe. Why does he want to do this? Well, in the movie he refers to the idea of a cosmic balance, which makes him sound more than a little insane. In the comics, 'balance' is something at least a little more sensible. What Thanos means by balance, is that once the number of living beings in the universe is greater than the sum total of all beings that have died, the universe becomes unbalanced and life has reached the point of long term unsustainability. He is told this by the incarnation of Death itself in the Marvel universe. 7. Nebula's importance In the comic story, Nebula plays a key role during the second half and steals the Infinity Gauntlet from Thanos while he is distracted exploring the spirit world (in the movie, perhaps he'll visit Gamora again, due to his guilt?) However, the movie story my not follow this plot so closely. Perhaps the Red Skull will betray him and steal the Gauntlet instead? Or even more interesting, given that Tony is currently reeling from all his worst fears finally coming to pass, perhaps he and Nebula (who are at this point interestingly stranded together on Titan, after all five of their allies perished) will team up to steal the Gauntlet? The movie Tony Stark's fatal flaw has always been his overprotectiveness due to fear, after the Battle of New York. It may even be that Nebula's role will simply be to help Tony get where he needs to be, so HE can play the role of thief. Maybe those two won't even need to travel that far - it did seem like Thanos returned to Titan after his task was complete! 8. Thanos is now totally alone Captain America didn't really need to despair quite so much at the end of the movie. He has now found an ally in every other living being in the entire universe. Thanos didn't just kill half of humanity, he killed half of all living beings everywhere. This means that Thanos, for all his great power, now has no friends anywhere. Every single being in the universe, from the Avengers to the mightiest of near-omnipotent cosmic creatures (like Star-Lord's deceased father, Ego) is going to be bearing down on the mad Titan to find out exactly what has happened and undo it. Steve and Earth now have friends in extremely high places, everywhere. 9. Captain Marvel In the comic story, after Nebula steals the Gauntlet and is defeated by Thanos and the heroes working together with others (see, Thanos isn't such a bad guy after all...) Adam Warlock takes ownership of the Gauntlet, undoes the death of half the universe (no, not with the Time Stone, that would just be lame!), and eventually agrees to divide the Stones back up throughout the universe after it becomes apparent that even the most noble heart can't resist the temptation of taking advantage of the Gauntlet's power. In the movies, this role is very likely going to fall to Captain Marvel, who may team up with Thor and the Hulk to overcome Thanos or Nebula (or even perhaps Iron Man?) to eventually return the universe to normal. This would certainly make for a great conclusion to the Marvel movie franchise so far - she is Captain 'Marvel', after all! 10. Undoing Thanos' actions Was that the spirit of Gamora Thanos sees after activating the Gauntlet? Or an ambiguous reference to Mistress Death, from the comic story? Whichever it was, We all know that Thanos very much regrets killing Gamora and this will likely be the one true weakness he has when everyone comes calling to defeat him. In the comic story, Thanos' key weakness is his feeling unworthy of wielding the full power of the Infinity Gauntlet, and eventually (after Nebula is defeated and the universe returned to normal) Thanos is quite content to spend the rest of his life as an introspective farmer (no, really). Perhaps the movie will go the same way, and this awesome villain will actually have a happy ending, returning Gamora to life and retiring from the whole supervillain business to never bother the Avengers again. Maybe... 11(?). Finally, one quick goof the movie makes - when Ebony Maw hands the Tesseract to Thanos at the beginning of the film, he proclaims that no being has ever held two Infinity Stones at once. Not quite true - Loki possessed the Tesseract whilst also wielding his sceptre, which was powered by the Mind Stone all along. Oops... :)
That's interesting. I included it because I've had to explain that particular point to just about all my friends ('normies' with no knowledge of comics, etc), despite them seeing the film already. But happy to be wrong, that means I don't need to keep repeating myself :D
Captain Marvel is a shit character so after Part 2. I’m only going to watch Spiderman movies and maybe a few other marvel movies so long as she isn’t in them. Good list but I don’t want the Captain Marvel thing to be true. If she shows which she will, I hope she dies, and I know she won’t. Sad face
I'm wondering whether Marvel has taken too big a risk here. I do expect her role to be a proxy for Adam Warlock, as there's no other obvious candidate (expect perhaps Thor?) so a LOT is going to hang on fan reception to the Captian Marvel movie next March. If people don't like her, its' going to be bit too late to scale back her importance in part two. Or maybe they've been really smart and filmed multiple endings :)
Oh and I have was always a huge fan of Captain Marvel, right up to when she underwent that big overhaul of her entire character, appearance and costume for Civil War II. Before then she was a lot of fun. The weirdest thing about Captain Marvel now is that thanks to the Fox acquisition by Disney, eventually they could even tell the whole Captain Marvel/Rogue story, as a means of seriously upgrading movie Rogue's powers. Maybe that will be something they'll consider for a future Captain Marvel sequel, if the movie is well received...
The Starlord part makes sense though. Remember what happened prior to him snapping on Thanos. He met his real dad, and found out that his dad killed his mom, so he had to kill his real dad. He lost his God powers, his father figure also died saving his life. Finally though, after all that loss he feels like he has a real family with the Guardians, and then he finds out that Thanos also killed his girlfriend. (Which Thanos is like a father in law kinda so another negative father aspect). Just the sheer amount of family death that happened in a short span is enough to make anyone act irrationally in that situation. Not to mention in GotG 2 we know that Star Lord is a really emotional person as his first instinct after learning his dad killed his mom was to just attack him. It makes 100% sense that he did what he did when he found out Thanos killed Gamora
Mider-Span Man there were so many times where they could have killed the bad guys. Why didn't strange and wong just slice the bad guys with the portal spell? They just cut his arm.
This really was Thanos’s movie. This may sound psychopathic but I was strangely enough rooting for the main villain to win in this film and for everyone else to loose.
Ya it was as epic as a Disney channel super hero movie, this movie is hot trash but "hurr durr i cry cuz spidey man die :'(" apla5 makes it great? Eveb when these people confirm they have multiple sequels planned out....
coz all those super heroes got beaten like hell. in the end they become dust. Clap clap clap. What a crap movie. what was the point of bringing all those super heroes in one movie .
@@rafiullahkhattak4525 So this is the first Marvel movie you have watched? That is basically what you said with the level of ignorance you presented in your comment.
Spider-Man's death was by far one of the saddest deaths I had seen in a movie because he was my favorite character. And also he was begging for his life which made it so much more sadder
If they hadn't confirmed a Spider-Man 2 for 2019-2020 I would have bawled at that scene. But somehow, they must bring him back now (and likely most of the others who disintegrated).
It would be rather out of character for Starlord to not start punching Thanos. Just look the the end battle of Guardians 2 when Ego admits to killing his mother. I would be more disappointed if he didn't lash out to be honest.
my tits I doubt he simply gave it up. There’s a lot of hint that he was looking forward to something else. He said there was 1 possibility they can win out of 14 millions. Then he said “There was no other way” before his death. It’s as if *this* path is *that* 1. Talk about setting up Avengers 4.
Radoslav Boychev I don't know, I was just trying to be funny, and everyone I've seen who talked about it was sad. And there is a chance those brought back could die again, just more permanently. Who knows?
Radoslav Boychev+ also, why was anybody surprised that the heroes died at the end? Maybe that’s just me but, they’d have to be DC retarded to not to have Thanos win.
The only person that actually died in infinity war is Loki, the people who turned to ash are 100% alive. There’s no way in hell marvel would kill off Spider-Man, black panther and doctor strange when they all have sequels planned
Marvel was careful not to put Pete's spider sense in everyone's faces for the third iteration of the character. It's why in Civil War, all he says is "it's like my senses are dialed up to eleven". In homecoming, at the ATM scene, he dodges all their punches and stuff without any effort. He's always had the spider sense, there just isn't an over the top visual for it like we're used to. The only indications for it are Peter's hairs standing. And, when you look back on this film, Peter was the only one who "felt" it coming. Everyone else noticed it as it was happening. Peter's spider sense made him feel it before it happened, and that's what lead to his emotional breakdown before he goes.
Marc Stone That’s so deep. Man that part was crazy though emotions were running high. To see our favorite characters just fade away like that. Seeing Peter beg for his life like that, and how he knew he was going to die.
If you pay attention to his hands and legs when he starts talking they are already started to fade away just very slowly to play up the emotion factor. It wasn’t a spider sense thing I watched it twice. Everyone faded way faster than Spider-Man
GlitchGaming45 Ya i knew that they we're gonna kill off alot of people. I expected capt. America but I didn't expect, Dr. Strange or Spider-Man at all. Spider-Man got me lol I was like Nooooooo lol XD
The MCU so far has made Spidey a comedic sidekick at best. I hope he grows into his own though. I felt nothing when he or any of the others disappeared.
you guys are dumb for getting emotional during "death" scenes. There not dead. They literally killed off everyone whos gonna be not in part 2 but in their own sequel except for maybe loki. Shit was cheap.
In regards to the "Gilligan's Island" moment in Infinity War, it absolutely WAS NOT A TROPE OR PLOT DEVICE nor was it tacked on just so they could lose. It was a CHARACTER CONSISTENCY FOR PETER QUILL. Quill is an impulse driven character and sometimes it helps but most times it hurts him or the group. The scene was actually a callback to Guardians Vol. 2 when Quill was being taken over by Ego. He would have completely succumbed to Ego if his dad hadn't let it slip that HE put the cancer in his mom's brain. His wild IMPULSIVE RAGE FILLED REACTION saved his life. In Infinity War, that same reaction DOOMED the universe. I thought it was brilliant cuz when Mantis started feeling Thanos' emotions, u knew what was coming and it made ur heart sink knowing that they were SO close but that Peter was gonna ruin everything.
It agree with Brightest Light.... It was definitely a trope. And it wasn't done very well. Sure it's consistent with his character, but had Star Lord literally hit Thanos half a second later, they would have gotten the gauntlet. The writers should have created a different scenario that didn't make it seem so much like a "perfect" failure. Marvel is usually great at making those situations, but not here.
That was one of the best together with Drax standing behind Star-Lord and Gamora for an *Hour* ! And even more when he said that he's hand was moving so slow "when he was eating" that it was invisible! That scene killed me!
Loki and Gamora probably wont be brought back. I think its important all the original avengers are alive. Thor was amazing, so was Strange. They were both MVPs. Thanos was incredible too.... Insane movie
strange got his ass kicked left and right when he tried to straight up fight but he is good at making portals for other people to do good. Like that wizard fight lasted 2 seconds in the beginning. It really wasn't even a fight.
I was thinking the exact same thing at that point in the movie, especially since they literally did that very thing earlier on in another fight in the movie, it's almost as if they did it on purpose to make the audience angry to see him not repeat that same trick...
People are mad at Star lord but I mean he did the same thing in Gotg vol2. When he found out Ego killed his mom he went berserk and just kept shooting. He just seems to be very emotional.
Dumb as it is, it's perfectly within character and set up in his previous films that he has a tendency for knee-jerk emotional responses. I had no issue with it
Samonella In order for the Avengers to win, Starlord has to go emotional. Strange has seen the future, and he knows that this was one of the vital steps needed to achieve the one ending where they win.
Root of All Games I was pleasantly surprised they did the arm joke. Everyone on the internet had already made that scenario in their head a thousand times that I thought it wasn't gonna happen and they went and give us that small bit of fan service. That was cool.
My first time seeing this movie my jaw was on the floor from Thanos snapping till the end of the credits. The credits did really feel like an obituary.
I think the Starlord anger moment was kind've justified since in GOTG 2 he does the same thing with Ego when he reveals he killed his mother, so i dont think its so out of character
It’s one of those moments where you’re thinking to yourself “Oh you idiot! You’re fucking everything up! Why??” but it’s still consistent with his character to the point where it doesn’t feel like a lazy plot contrivance.
how is it justified to kill half of the living creatures in the multiverse ?(did thanos on kill half on earth 616 or all ?) just because you got an anger issue? justified...... lol
The Empyrean Canine dude, there were a thousand ways to make thanos kill half of the universe, and they decided to go with the stupidest one, let's make starlord fuck the entire universe because thanos killed gamora and he can't control his emotions because he is a fucking child
i think you're missing the fact that they've been through 2 movies together and the time between those movies is like a couple years so they are very close, so losing her like that so suddenly to a guy he really hates, and the fact that he was her father, really got to him, and like original6 said, he's a child at heart.
Ramz The game is called 'Defender' and is actually an old 80s game about a guy shot into space who has to stop an alien invasion while protecting little astronauts of his own, so it actually kinda has the same story as the movie, lol.
Drax The Destroyer is always a joy because he always has the best lines, but whenever Drax sees Thanos, he goes back to his serious angry quest for vengeance
He definitely could have done that while Thanos was distracted by Mantis, assuming the stones didn't have some "self-defense, anti-portal field" coming off the glove and extending over his arm. Presumably, an alert Thanos would use the reality/space stone powers to counter any portal magic, with the soul stone's power probably giving him split second insight into Strange's intent to cast "open portal" at that point. But while he was restrained? For sure worth a shot.
Guardians 2: Star Lord starts starts blasting his FATHER to shreds the moment he finds out that Ego killed his Mom. No one has a problem with this. Infinity War: Star Lord starts starts wailing on Thanos when he finds out he killed the woman he loves. "This is a stupid out-of-character trope and makes no sense." SEEMS LEGIT.
Obscene Vegetable Matter Understanding consequences? The point is that Peter is hot-headed. He's immature and emotional. He makes stupid emotional decisions *all the time.* You can't laugh at him being blatantly insecure and jealous with Thor *and* talk about how it's stupid that he doesn't think about things really carefully in this scene. This is the same character whose idea it was *to challenge Ronin to a dance-off in order to save a planet.* I get it that he acts stupidly and makes a horrible decision, but that doesn't make it out of character, bad writing, a trope, or something wrong to any extent. It's entirely reasonable for the Star Lord of every movie up until this point to do something like that and unless your reaction is "I'm frustrated with Peter as a character for making that decision," you're wide of the mark.
I'm saying that only an insane person would do that. Even in his rage, Peter would know that he was fucking up their only way out. The dance-off was neither stupid or emotional. It was a distraction to set off the actual planet saving. Was it the most clever distraction? No, but the equivalent to what he did in Infinitiy War would have been if Peter had charged Ronan in a furious frenzy and tried to beat him up. Peter is a bit of a doofus that does stupid things, but he's not insane or completely governed by his emotions. When there is an obvious path to certain defeat and catastrophe that ANYONE can see, and half of the universe lies in the scales, you avoid it. Anything else is bad writing. And THAT is my issue. Especially since it was the only bad writing in the whole film. It's also fridging, which is kind of remarkable. But perhaps you're right and Peter IS so hot-headed and moronic that it blinds him to every rational thought. Then Star-Lord should not be a Guardian because he's a complete failure at that. Indirectly, and knowingly, causing the death of half the universe is not "stupid". It is harebrained on a cosmic scale.
It might have been in character but it was still stupid. The scene itself was lame. Thanos had a nearly complete Infinity Gauntlet, he would never have gotten restrained like that when he had the Reality+Power+Space stones.
Star-Lord was meant to do that, as Doctor Strange said "there was no other way" so I'm guessing that if they got the Gauntlet completely off, they fucked up real bad.
it was stupid, because of disney he is not evil just misunderstood, what is good about he acting as human,he should be evil god.that cartoon dbs villain had more depth and was more realistic then this thanos...
He is not misunderstood though, and he is evil. The good thing about him is that he is evil for a purpose, not because he is simply twirling his evil mustache and wants to be evil for evils sake. He has a goal that he believes is best for the universe and will use any means to do it. It is just like Doctor Doom. He is a villain but he is trying to do what is best for humanity. Doesn't mean his actions still aren't evil.
TRUTH Rocket: How much for the gun?! Bucky: Not for sale! Rocket: Ok how much for the arm?! (Looks at him and walks off) Rocket: I’m gonna get that arm! LMAFO!
For everyone who blames Starlord for Thanos beating them, in all reality, I think it was supposed to happen. Strange saw over 14 million possibilities with only one where they succeed. In order for Thanos to be stopped, he first had to win. With everything set in place, the following HAD to happen. 1. "The Snap" - Thanos had to win (why, it's not made totally clear). Out of all of the possible outcomes, Dr. Strange said we only win *one*. With the entire first act reinforcing the fact that Strange values the safety of the Time Stone over both Stark and Spider-Man, and Strange eventually giving up the stone to Thanos, in whatever outcome they win, Thanos HAD to aquire all of the Infinity Stones. 2. Tony HAD to survive - Stark was personally saved by Strange after giving up the Time Stone to Thanos. Iron Man's survival must be integral to their victory, and Strange knows it. 3. Vision HAD to live as long as he did/die when he did - had Wanda destroyed Vision and the stone from the get-go, Thanos would never had been able to aquire the Mind Stone. 4. Starlord HAD to act out in a fit of rage after discovering Thanos murdered Gamora for the Soul Stone - not only is it in his character to have trouble dealing with grief through both Guardians movies, Starlord NOT ruining the Avengers' plan to subdue Thanos meant he would not get all of the Infinity Stones. Based on Dr. Strange's venture to the future, this had to happen. It's also why Strange doesn't stop him from beating on Thanos while under Mantis's influence. 5. Those that disappeared were not entirely random - Thanos claims the Snap kills at random, but to have Thanos spare Tony's life per Strange's request, this alludes to Dr. Strange, in all 14 million outcomes, knew who would live or die in this scenario. Everyone who is alive/dead post Snap were either A. always going to live/die in any of the 14 million scenarios or B. randomly "selected" and Strange knew which choices would lead to those turning to dust after the Snap.
That_One_Aromantic And by doing that he may have been responsible for the death of half the universe. It's understandable he was angry, but it was an incredibly moronic and selfish thing to do
I think the reason spiderman had such a sad and drawn out death compared to all the other is because he has spider senses...his spider senses were going crazy and were telling him that he was dying.
Oh man, I cant imagine working with angryjoe to be in Alex’s shoes trying to voice your opinion and then immediately getting cut off by angry. Joe must be extremely frustrating and outright disrespectful because Joe knows Alex is trying to talk and he just fucking over talks him
+The Trap Dough in the movie someone says "where is gamora?" then iron man says while restraining drax "better yet who is gamora?" there's a brief silence then drax says while looking at Tony, "better yet, why is gamora?" then everyone just stares at him in frustration.
RFSCaveman & gotg 1, he lost his shit at that prison guard who took his Walkman then got tased. When it comes to things he loves, he lets his emotion effect his decision making
He's never really grown up because he refused to believe his mother had passed away. Gamora begs Quill to kill her, and he finally makes the choice... just to have bubbles come out of his gun. In their minds, Quill was going to kill Gamora. During that moment when he was pulling the trigger, he was killing the woman he loves. I'm sure he was relieved he didn't kill her, but still... He made the choice, he started the actions, it just happened to not kill her. That'd fuck you up to begin with, but to then hear the guy that stopped you from killing her, went off and killed her? Yeah, no, I'm honestly surprised he didn't pull out a grenade and shove it in Thanos' mouth.
I agree. Gamora made him swear on his mother's life, the very same woman whose true cause of death had him immediately going from enthralled to enraged at his own father, who was a god. He wasn't interested in Ego's grand scheme; he wanted him dead. So when he couldn't do what he promised, Thanos's confession prompted the very same emotional and physical reactions even though it went against everything he and Gamora had ever tried to do to prevent Thanos gaining the stones.
SuperGiant Mario64 - Yeah that would've been so cool, or if he sent him to Surtur. I don't think it would've mattered though. He'd just use the space stone and nope out of there.
the russo brothers said they didnt want to tell story that has already been told because why would you want to watch that? you already know the ending then. and you didnt talk about the fact Thors Axe just went straight through ALL 5 infinty stones when thanos fired them at thor. and the fact thor almost killed thanos.

Doctor strange saw the future so he knew the only way to win was to hand over the time stone and let thanos win the first battle so they could win the war

No he gave the stone to protect tony. He counted on the other avengers to keep the mind stone safe. He/they lost.
Thanos won
Otso Tuurna no, he specifically stated beforehand that he would let Tony and Peter die every time if it meant he could protect the stone. He gave the stone because it was the only way they could win, that's why afterward he states that it is now time for the end game.

Maybe what he did was the 1/140000000
Chances of winning.

Thor was the MVP in this movie. He lost so much but still came back strong
fraughtmonster8 how come? Havent seen it yet, dont mind spoilers
Triss Merigold that too
Thor literally oneshot Thanos with the full IG, the only reason he lost is that Thanos was still conscious since he didn't strike his head.
It fits Star Lords Character.
Remember when Ego mentioned The Tumor? In half a second he shot his father no questions asked.
Eric D. His impulse and immaturity is why he was easily snapped out of Ego’s trance. His character is sometimes beneficial and sometimes detrimental, which is why this scene just, well , fits

I was disappointed he just punched Thanos. He turned his dad into swiss cheese, but just a bit of fistycuffs for the big purple guy.
HISHE: "There not gonna kill Black Panther, that would be commercial suicide”

Captain America, Thor, and Iron Man all lived because they are the longest running, largest grossing character films they Marvel has. Derek L. I always figured him to be the more level headed out of them all besides gamora.
David Alvarado Remember in Gaurdians 2 Star Lord killed Ego after Ego told him that he gave his Mom Cancer. He lost it.
I wouldn't say he's not too bright, it was his plan that got Thanos captured in the first place. Then his emotions got them all wrecked.

so the 1 out of millions chance of them winning was to surrender?
There will be a day when I tell my kids this was the golden age of marvel movies

Doesn't he get his power from the people of Asgard? Thanos killed everyone
Thanos didn't kill all of the Asguardians, he only killed half.
Maybe, but he sure blew up the Asgardian ship when he left. As far as we know, only Thor survived that.
The Top Ten Things most people didn't get from watching Infinity War (serious non-clickbait edition):
1. Scarlet Witch and the Mind Stone
Wanda can destroy the Mind Stone because her powers are psychic in nature. She possesses the "similar frequency" of power that Vision theorises can cause its molecular structure to fail. Sure, Thor is more powerful, but he doesn't possess power of the right kind.
2. Thanos' use of the Stones
Everyone noticed that whenever Thanos used the Gauntlet, the relevant Stone glowed to match whatever he was doing.
3. Vision's Death
When Thanos rips the Mind Stone out of Vision, the dead android goes all Optimus Prime on us and fades to grey. This cleverly sets up a possible plot point. In the comics, Vision has sometimes been depicted as pure white. Banner and Shuri may still be able to resurrect Vision, perhaps in a diminished, weaker and less human-sounding form that retains the new monochromatic look.
4. Stormbreaker
This weapon is apparently so powerful that it can withstand the full force of all six of the Infinity Stones combined, cutting through their energies to bury itself in Thanos' chest. This may come in useful in the second part, when Hulk will no doubt want a little extra firepower in his rematch against Thanos.
5. Why the choice of deaths is so clever
We all know that eventually the good guys are going to win and the damage done by the Infinity Gauntlet will be undone.
6. Thanos' focus
Yes, Thanos holds back the full power of the Gauntlet throughout the entire movie.
7. Nebula's importance
In the comic story, Nebula plays a key role during the second half and steals the Infinity Gauntlet from Thanos while he is distracted exploring the spirit world (in the movie, perhaps he'll visit Gamora again, due to his guilt?) However, the movie story my not follow this plot so closely.
8. Thanos is now totally alone
Captain America didn't really need to despair quite so much at the end of the movie.
9. Captain Marvel
In the comic story, after Nebula steals the Gauntlet and is defeated by Thanos and the heroes working together with others (see, Thanos isn't such a bad guy after all...) Adam Warlock takes ownership of the Gauntlet, undoes the death of half the universe (no, not with the Time Stone, that would just be lame!), and eventually agrees to divide the Stones back up throughout the universe after it becomes apparent that even the most noble heart can't resist the temptation of taking advantage of the Gauntlet's power.
10. Undoing Thanos' actions
Was that the spirit of Gamora Thanos sees after activating the Gauntlet?
Oops... :)
casbyness most people definitely got number 1. They literally said that beat for beat in the movie. Not a bad list though!
So if your pissed at him take off the glove and beat his ass …. Don’t just punch him in the face like a 2 year old. Made 0 sense
@@dogsbreakfast4952 he has technically a "12" year old's mind since he wasn’t raised on earth
When Thor stabbed Thanos and Thanos said “You should’ve aimed for the head.” I was like oh shit they’re gonna lose
I agreed with Thanos on that one. I was questioning why Thor didn't go for the head.
Mider-Span Man he wanted him to feel all the pain. He wanted Thanos to die slowly
Thor should've gone for the left arm
They can actually bring groot back tho.... his arm is on the axe.... all they need is some soil
Bless up
What if Stormbreaker is inside Groot and he has Thor's power :o
It would be a completely different Groot though.
But we dident see the axe After groot turned to dust, so the handle might haw turned to dust aswell
Let's Pretend dude. tree branches aren’t alive
Bro..thors entrance to the battle of wakanda..that was some epic shit
Ya it was as epic as a Disney channel super hero movie, this movie is hot trash but "hurr durr i cry cuz spidey man die :'(" apla5 makes it great? Eveb when these people confirm they have multiple sequels planned out....
thunder cleez How the fuck is this movie garbage?
thunder cleez When you learn how to type, we can talk how trash your opinion is lmao
coz all those super heroes got beaten like hell. in the end they become dust. Clap clap clap. What a crap movie. what was the point of bringing all those super heroes in one movie .
@@rafiullahkhattak4525 So this is the first Marvel movie you have watched? That is basically what you said with the level of ignorance you presented in your comment.
Alex has the patience of a saint LOL I hate it when my friend constantly interrupt me while I’m talking.
Spider-Man's death was by far one of the saddest deaths I had seen in a movie because he was my favorite character. And also he was begging for his life which made it so much more sadder
Jake O'Brien i feel like he is too young to die
Even though we know he’s not permanently dead that scene still managed to break out hearts
He stole 10th doctor line, before his death.
If they hadn't confirmed a Spider-Man 2 for 2019-2020 I would have bawled at that scene. But somehow, they must bring him back now (and likely most of the others who disintegrated).
Zen93 i feel you! I did not feel anything about Spidey desth, cause I know he is not really dead
It would be rather out of character for Starlord to not start punching Thanos. Just look the the end battle of Guardians 2 when Ego admits to killing his mother. I would be more disappointed if he didn't lash out to be honest.
Exactly! It totally fits his character
Gamora and the Guardians are the family he have left. It is understandable why he would be so mad
Stephen giving up the time stone so fucking easily was more out of character than Peter being overly emotional...as always lol
Either way it doesn't matter, Dr. Strange needs to give the time stone to Thanos.
my tits
I doubt he simply gave it up. There’s a lot of hint that he was looking forward to something else. He said there was 1 possibility they can win out of 14 millions. Then he said “There was no other way” before his death. It’s as if *this* path is *that* 1. Talk about setting up Avengers 4.
Thanos Kill Count:
1. Loki

also Korg
Dark Soul what...
I was listing named characters. Also we don't know if Korg or Valkyrie died.
jIGGER nEW only half of them
If I hear that word “Thay-nos” ever again. Im strangling someone.
😂
Most people: *Depressed and sad at their favorite characters dying*
AngryJoe: *Psychotic glee*
Wendigo Dragon why would anyone be sad when they'll bring all the characters back in the next movie?
Radoslav Boychev I don't know, I was just trying to be funny, and everyone I've seen who talked about it was sad. And there is a chance those brought back could die again, just more permanently. Who knows?
Radoslav Boychev only the people who died to the gauntlet. The deaths before the conclusion were real.
Marc Stone
That’s so deep.
Everyone faded way faster than Spider-Man
In civil war he also showed his spidey sense about two other times. One when he dodges the car at the airport (He reacts before its sent)
Marc Stone Spider sense vs The Infinity Gauntlet???, lol
The scene was improvised.
The scene with spider man got me. Especially with stark not being able to do anything
GlitchGaming45 the only good scenes in the movie where with spidey, he’s their best character by far imo
GlitchGaming45
Ya i knew that they we're gonna kill off alot of people.
Alfredo Izg The ONLY good scenes were with spidey?? There’s something fundamentally wrong with you if that’s how you really feel
you guys are dumb for getting emotional during "death" scenes.
I thought it was brilliant cuz when Mantis started feeling Thanos' emotions, u knew what was coming and it made ur heart sink knowing that they were SO close but that Peter was gonna ruin everything.
it WAS a trope. it was ALSO consistent. tropes are not BAD, EVERYTHING is a trope.
I still think it was a cop out
@@PercMastaFTW exactly!
"I am Groot!"
"I am Steve Rogers."
Shinichi Mizer
Haha so many great parts I forgot about that one!
Shinichi Mizer that had me dying lol neither knew he doesn't understand him, probably
That was one of the best together with Drax standing behind Star-Lord and Gamora for an *Hour* ! And even more when he said that he's hand was moving so slow "when he was eating" that it was invisible! That scene killed me!
Hmm, which line will I remember from this film so I can quote it later?
Oh, it's this one!!
"I'm BATMAN!"
Loki and Gamora probably wont be brought back. I think its important all the original avengers are alive. Thor was amazing, so was Strange. They were both MVPs. Thanos was incredible too.... Insane movie
COREY M Tony used to be the coolest, then Starlord was. Now Thor is the mac daddy. So fucking funny too👌
strange got his ass kicked left and right when he tried to straight up fight but he is good at making portals for other people to do good. Like that wizard fight lasted 2 seconds in the beginning. It really wasn't even a fight.
I think Strange was my favorite person in that movie
They said guardians 3 is going to be more based on gamora. Rather than starlord.
Eh I expect them to come back later. Gamora is probable in the next film, but as for Loki, likely not until the next Thor movie.
Am I the only one who noticed Dr Strange’s cape died too! 😢
JOHN CENA Ohh hey 😉
Really Good Gaming really i thought it had just been ripped.
Really Good Gaming it just got ripped it didn’t die
Still best character
Really Good Gaming no I’m here with you!
There should have been a sherlock reference between Tony and Strange.
There was
*Those portals that are very capable of cutting off hands would've been super convenient when removing the Infinity Gauntlet, Doctor Strange.*
Thanos can control reality though.
Tyler McPherson not when the avengers had him on his knees
CDKing I think that Strange was using all of his strength to restrain him. So I think Strange not using the portals is explained.
Strange was holding off his right arm
I was thinking the exact same thing at that point in the movie, especially since they literally did that very thing earlier on in another fight in the movie, it's almost as if they did it on purpose to make the audience angry to see him not repeat that same trick...
People are mad at Star lord but I mean he did the same thing in Gotg vol2. When he found out Ego killed his mom he went berserk and just kept shooting. He just seems to be very emotional.
Dumb as it is, it's perfectly within character and set up in his previous films that he has a tendency for knee-jerk emotional responses.
I had no issue with it
But if he had just waited a few more seconds though...then he could have beaten Thanos to his heart's delight.
Bruce Wayne looks to me that Dr. Strange know that will happen because if that was not part of the plan he would stop it
Samonella In order for the Avengers to win, Starlord has to go emotional. Strange has seen the future, and he knows that this was one of the vital steps needed to achieve the one ending where they win.
I think people understand why he did it, but are just mad why star lord had to be the one who fucks such a good plan.

So is no one gonna talk about the pretty bad ass scene with rocket and Winter soldier (White Wolf)? I loved their amazing but small interaction
Root of All Games I was pleasantly surprised they did the arm joke. Everyone on the internet had already made that scenario in their head a thousand times that I thought it wasn't gonna happen and they went and give us that small bit of fan service. That was cool.
Rocket's reaction when Bucky turns to dust: "Dammit, I'm not getting that arm. Better save the universe to get it."

No one of consequence Thanos is so savage. Turn back time just to grab stone and kill Vision.
That was heartbreaking.
Haider Ali Then throw him to the ground like trash.
Why??” but it’s still consistent with his character to the point where it doesn’t feel like a lazy plot contrivance.
exactly, i was a little frustrated when it happened, but then it made sense.
how is it justified to kill half of the living creatures in the multiverse ?(did thanos on kill half on earth 616 or all ?)
just because you got an anger issue? justified......
The Defenders were in Infinity war, Groot was playing a game that said Defenders on it. There's your crossover lol
Ramz most ambitious cross over
Ramz The game is called 'Defender' and is actually an old 80s game about a guy shot into space who has to stop an alien invasion while protecting little astronauts of his own, so it actually kinda has the same story as the movie, lol.

Good reference is good.
.. back to Sony
Malgus 😂
Fuck off ;-;
Black mist= lame & indirect death sorry rocket but yeah.
Dr.Strange could have just made a portal around thanos's arm, and then closed it
He definitely could have done that while Thanos was distracted by Mantis, assuming the stones didn't have some "self-defense, anti-portal field" coming off the glove and extending over his arm. Presumably, an alert Thanos would use the reality/space stone powers to counter any portal magic, with the soul stone's power probably giving him split second insight into Strange's intent to cast "open portal" at that point. But while he was restrained? For sure worth a shot.
Would make for a short movie
The fact that characters die made this movie so more intense. Usually you know the hero’s will win, but in this film anyone can die in any fight.
Tom Bell it's more Disney fake deaths. they will all come back. even gamora
Loki's death was stupid.
Superman Fan no, Loki, gamora, and vision were all “real” deaths. However, all the people that turned to ash will come back
Guardians 2: Star Lord starts starts blasting his FATHER to shreds the moment he finds out that Ego killed his Mom. No one has a problem with this.
Infinity War: Star Lord starts starts wailing on Thanos when he finds out he killed the woman he loves. "This is a stupid out-of-character trope and makes no sense."
SEEMS LEGIT.
absolutely! people forget & then bitch about it later and then feel stupid if someone point it out.
It has less to do with character than it has to do with understanding consequenses.
Mr. Stark, I don’t feel so good...
my heart sunk when i head that.....
I'm still not okay with Parker fading away.....
"I don't wanna go"
yeah but we know he comes back because he has more movies to do that take place after this.
Good riddance
Star-Lord was meant to do that, as Doctor Strange said "there was no other way" so I'm guessing that if they got the Gauntlet completely off, they fucked up real bad.
I loved how they did Thanos in this movie. He wasn't just a brain dead villian.
Probably one of the greatest villains ever now...and there's still one more movie of him coming.
Agreed. It is about time Marvel has a good villain again. Other than Loki, it has been pretty bare.
Minus his lack of Armor in the final act, it was great.
it was stupid, because of disney he is not evil just misunderstood, what is good about he acting as human,he should be evil god.that cartoon dbs villain had more depth and was more realistic then this thanos...
Doesn't mean his actions still aren't evil.
i mean did everyone just totally miss red skull ????
Koodlevoodlen definitely 👍
I hope they bring him back to the mcu

(Looks at him and walks off)
Rocket: I’m gonna get that arm!
LMAFO!
Star lord: how long have you been there staring at us?
Drax: an hour.
Drax: I am standing so still I am invisible
Hold his anger? This is the guy who found out his dad killed his mom and he fired like 6 shots without thinking.
That_One_Aromantic that was a great scene in gotg2
That_One_Aromantic
And by doing that he may have been responsible for the death of half the universe. It's understandable he was angry, but it was an incredibly moronic and selfish thing to do
It was a stupid choice. But it was completely in his character to do so, which makes it dumb to try and call it something like bad writing.
General Shamic - Yeah sure. Fucking cool.
He was so pissed that even Ego's mind control breaked off.
I think the reason spiderman had such a sad and drawn out death compared to all the other is because he has spider senses...his spider senses were going crazy and were telling him that he was dying.
makes sense, good point!
Hardcore Academy no
Hardcore Academy Good point my dude
Well...that and he and Tony had to sit and watch as everyone else faded from existence first.
No its just because he was a kid and had a strong connection with Tony. Obviously his Spider senses weren't the REASON it was SAD and DRAWN OUT.

WHY IS GAMORA?
joshua lewis 😂😂😂
joshua lewis i dont get the "why is gamora" joke helppp
The Trap Dough it's from the movie
+The Trap Dough in the movie someone says "where is gamora?" then iron man says while restraining drax "better yet who is gamora?" there's a brief silence then drax says while looking at Tony, "better yet, why is gamora?" then everyone just stares at him in frustration.
after GOTG2 it was very much in Star Lord's character to lose his shit
The battle with Dr. Strange and Thanos is actually really awesome. We actually get to see Dr. Strange do some freaking magic.
Yeah I wanted to see a bit more because it was so awesome. Although, I feel like he held back a bit. Dunno why, but I just feel it that way.
fufufuaru I keep seeing your comments
He probably did hold back because he knows the future and how to win.
It would of been cool if Dr. Strange sent Thanos to Dormammu
SuperGiant Mario64 - Yeah that would've been so cool, or if he sent him to Surtur. I don't think it would've mattered though. He'd just use the space stone and nope out of there.
the russo brothers said they didnt want to tell story that has already been told because why would you want to watch that? you already know the ending then. and you didnt talk about the fact Thors Axe just went straight through ALL 5 infinty stones when thanos fired them at thor. and the fact thor almost killed thanos.
all 6*
The infinity gauntlet pretty much is the N-word pass
"Almost" being the keyword
