@@lukesewell8294 So if you wake up to someone cocking a gun that's aimed at your head it's okay because that person hasn't actually tried to kill you yet? Ben was right to defend himself from Skywalker and his loyalists. Being put in a pissed off rage and destroying the temple was character development and demonstrated that Ben is powerful enough to do much more than destroy a console with his lightsaber. this comic diminishes that to make him look like a good guy while shoe-horning Palpatine to be part of a scene he was never meant to be part of. That would be like trying to say that Hux is a good guy because he was a mole against Snoke, and conveniently forgetting that he ordered the Starkiller Base to fire on several core worlds, presumably murdering people by the trillions. @@yamcha8309 I respect your opinion I hear a lot about the yuzhan vong And it gets tiring Though I am curious why you dont like it I don't like it or dislike it personally The main reason I don't like it is why did palpatine have to enslave half the galaxy (I don't actually know how many were slaves in the empire) and give humans the highest point if power and even then treat all of them like second class citizens if he simply wanted to defend the galaxy from an invasion of an out alien race? If he really wanted to defend the galaxy then he would have treated everyone fairly (obviously I know in reality you cant treat everyone fairly because then you get communism which doesn't work and with such a big galaxy with an endless amount I'd sentient beings you cant keep them all happy no matter what you do) and united them all. I know that if I were an alien or human in his galaxy and it was revealed he wanted to defend the galaxy from an alien invasion but still treated us like crap I wouldn't help defend the galaxy and just watch it burn to show him and his sympathizers why they should have treated us fairly
Its funny because earlier today i watched another video that was titled somewhere along the lines of “how Kylo did not kill Luke Skywalker’s students, Darth Sidious did” basically going through this. Same stuff and saying the lighting on the temple was actually palpatine
This was interesting. We get to see why Kylo Ren always had more of the light in him (compared to Vader). Palpatine manipulated him into thinking that he committed an atrocious crime and would not be accepted by his family if he were to go to them. With nowhere else to run, Kylo turned to Snoke, the only person who would accept him. Much like Vader, he was a victim of Palp's manipulation.
Kylo Ten is legit the only Disney Saga character that is any decent. All the other characters, even Ren are basically background characters. Adam Driver is the only top notch actor.
Kylo: "All the Jedi kids, with their Jedi tricks, gather round, gather round. Outrun my Force. All the Jedi kids with their Jedi tricks, You better run, Better run. Faster than my Saber."
Well... Baby Yoda (The Child) had the rare force power to heal others. The Remnants of the Empire wanted him, so... it’s not hard to do the math here on how Palpatine and Snoke are able to “regenerate” now
I want to believe he went back to Mando after his training 😭🙌 also during that time Luke’s only student was Leía so probably he left the temple before Kylo’s attack
1:27 You know what this part reminds me of? Remember Jedi Outcast videogame. Luke told Kyle that Desann was once one of Luke's students and he killed one of the students because he thought they were weak and he was superior, more powerful than them. Ben, in this comic, reminds me of Desann.
@@noway6633 If you go back before the thrawn trilogy and the story group being formed it was really rough. After that it becomes a lesson on what Disney should've done. That slow build to the vong war was amazing, regardless of thoughts on the Vong themselves. Though I thought they were a good addition
Gups The EU started with the Thrawn Trilogy and Dark Empire. There was no EU before those existed. There were the Marvel comics that Marvel did poorly with resulting in Marvel letting Dark Horse take the license. There was Splinter of the Mind’s Eye from 1979, but that wasn’t an EU book. There wasn’t an official story group right away and there were a lot of great stories in the beginning. It was about people pitching stories at first where George Lucas would have to approve ideas. However, the heads of LucasFilm, Bantam (later Del Rey), and Dark Horse would plan things out.
I’m still annoyed that they killed off the Jedi order again.... They tried so hard to copy the original trilogy it hurts. They could’ve had something new with a fresh and young Jedi order but no they had to make Luke the exiled Yoda of the trilogy. God this trilogy hurts me
It would be better if they killed them on screen. And for That Guy Over There. George Lucas made similarities all the time and wanted the trilogies to rhyme with each other. Just like how qui gon, obi wan and han all die in similar ways. And so many others.
Alex Weberg Well George isn’t handling these films so I say disregard that rule or at least don’t let it undo the victories of the rebels. This is a problem I had for the start and it only got worse as time went on? Why did Ben Solo need to be a villain? Why not have him say find the Jedi and Sith too tribalistic and ditched Luke’s Order when he was a teen and became a sort of Grey Jedi. Why did we need the Imperials to be the villains again? Star Wars is just miserable and depressing now. Well the Prequels were but you know Palpy would be defeated and Anakin dies having saved his son and freeing the Galaxy in the process.
Prince Levi Yeah this doesn’t feel like a sort of story you tell after Return of the Jedi. We already got this story. Who’s bright idea was this? I mean it. George Lucas? JJ Abrams? Micheal Arendt, Kathleen Kennedy?
One thing I had going through my head was the phrase WTF. This effects Luke's reason for the exile as well. It would've been even more interesting if the knights of Ren were the students of Luke who got turned making Luke feel destroyed both as a teacher and an uncle. That would've made the Luke going into exile have even more impact.
Honestly nothing they put out in comics or books will excite me knowing how Luke ends up. No matter how badass they try or if they try to make Luke if Disney does books on the events between ep6 and ep7, will just seem pointless.
You know this trilogy is bad when we are 3 movies in and important details such as how Ben became Kylo Ren and joined snoke has only been explored in a comic🤦🏾♂️
I hate how Disney expects us to buy theses comics just so we can get info for characters or events that should have already been in the movies ..they added so much stuff in each movie to the point where they can't keep up w the other stuff they had introduced in the previous movies be
@@Reddeth6332 To be fair, Kylo had a chance to end Rey and blew it... and when Finn wounded him, he also had a chance and blew it. Rey honestly just finished what a true hero started and took all the credit. The final battle should have been an epic Finn vs Kylo.
@MR. ICE thats probably the best course of action at this point, although I'll probably end up seeing it just to watch this trainwreck finally come to an end. Good thing I have those free movie passes 😁
I honestly feel like this is a perfect explanation as I don't see Ben going full darkside killing everyone when he was in self defense mode after Luke attacked him. Yeah it sucks that they had Luke attack him in the first place, but in regards to keeping Kylo Ren's backstory consistent it makes more sense with how Snoke doubted his commitment to the darkside, and how we see Kylo's resentment being focused mainly on Luke, and not everyone else. He seems to be completely caught up in a plan that he isn't truly a party of, and is having decisions forced upon him by everyone else. He's an unwitting pawn in Palpy, and Lukes personal grudge match. The first time he does anything by will in killing his father is the result of him being brainwashed in to thinking all these things ARE his fault when really that too is the fault of those outside of him.
fatandbald666 Well thats thing during my school lunch, I looked for spoilers on twitter because i knew it wasn’t good. But i’m sure there are people that would rather wait to watch.
This is the creative equivalent to Johnson laying up a shot for someone to dunk, only for said person to smack it out of bounds. He gave them the perfect set up for the Knights of Ren, just fucking take it.
Luke Skywalker, literally the most passive Jedi ever, attempts to murder a person in their sleep. What were Disney smoking when they came up with this plot point.
I don’t like what the sequel trilogy did to Luke, they completely ruined his character, I mean he Literally tried to kill his own student/nethiew in his sleep with no remorse or regret of any kind! That is so unlike the wise Jedi he was both in legends and in episode 6
What if that WAS Ben, just channeling his raw power in the dark side. Canonically, it’s stated that whenever Ben got upset as a boy, things would inexplicably break around the house...and this is a Ben who’s been through training and would be stronger. Snoke said when he found him, he saw “raw, untamed power.” Maybe this is why he’s so reserved around those he isn’t intent on killing or harming
its soo good.. cant wait for episode 8. I still believe in StarWars... just the female agenda and politics ruin an opportunity to make star wars even greater.

It's super interesting how ben killed all students and destroyed jedi order and then comes Rey who swing with lightsaber for the first time and then on battle of starkillers base she absolutely destroy kylo.
So Kylo Ren killed Grogu.. I get it now.
No.
@@brandondetroitfanmichaels4325 Yes Grogu becomes a Mandolorian :) I would like to know why Luke goes sane on Kylo Ren.aka Ben Solo.
Hears of Episode IX reviews, sees (I don’t like it) in this title
“This deal is getting worse all the time!”
SWT, it’s time for fans to drop Disney Star Wars from canon and reinstate the EU.
@@yamcha8309 I respect your opinion
I hear a lot about the yuzhan vong
And it gets tiring
Though I am curious why you dont like it
I don't like it or dislike it personally
The main reason I don't like it is why did palpatine have to enslave half the galaxy (I don't actually know how many were slaves in the empire) and give humans the highest point if power and even then treat all of them like second class citizens if he simply wanted to defend the galaxy from an invasion of an out alien race? If he really wanted to defend the galaxy then he would have treated everyone fairly (obviously I know in reality you cant treat everyone fairly because then you get communism which doesn't work and with such a big galaxy with an endless amount I'd sentient beings you cant keep them all happy no matter what you do) and united them all.
I know that if I were an alien or human in his galaxy and it was revealed he wanted to defend the galaxy from an alien invasion but still treated us like crap I wouldn't help defend the galaxy and just watch it burn to show him and his sympathizers why they should have treated us fairly
Yamcha Entertainment At least we won’t have porgs.
Its funny because earlier today i watched another video that was titled somewhere along the lines of “how Kylo did not kill Luke Skywalker’s students, Darth Sidious did” basically going through this. Same stuff and saying the lighting on the temple was actually palpatine
he did say the same thing
*the first few screenings of TROS finishes*

@Big Smoke r/whooooooooosh dumb ass
A Tapey Boi he’s a better actor than Hayden Christiansen will ever be
This was interesting.
The reviews are out and a ton of UA-cam creators REALLY dislike it. I’m getting nervous man. My hope is fading away
same, disney just demolished the star wars saga
You still had hope ? I wish i had some hope left after TLJ.
@@Tevion1121 big facts. It was a write off as soon as TLJ ended 🤢
2:19 The way you say "I told you" makes me laugh so much for some reason.
Kylo Ren talking to Vader's Helmet: I'll will finish what you started...
Me (after watching this): No S*$t!
The Remnants of the Empire wanted him, so... it’s not hard to do the math here on how Palpatine and Snoke are able to “regenerate” now
Who’s near to find out weather grogu could’ve been there and lives or died 🤧😭😫???
Literally searching for anything that gives hope that Grogu survives
I want to believe he went back to Mando after his training 😭🙌 also during that time Luke’s only student was Leía so probably he left the temple before Kylo’s attack
Grogu is more powerful than Kylo - and he's a baby. At that time Grogu would have wiped the floor with him
Grogu, please don't stay with Luke too long.
I like it how you try to imitate Adam driver’s voice! 😂😂😂😂😂
1:27 You know what this part reminds me of? Remember Jedi Outcast videogame. Luke told Kyle that Desann was once one of Luke's students and he killed one of the students because he thought they were weak and he was superior, more powerful than them. Ben, in this comic, reminds me of Desann.
"the old EU has a few bad stories". The disney canon EU is a bad story
More than a few, but youre right
@@noway6633 If you go back before the thrawn trilogy and the story group being formed it was really rough. After that it becomes a lesson on what Disney should've done. That slow build to the vong war was amazing, regardless of thoughts on the Vong themselves. Though I thought they were a good addition
Only TLJ
God this trilogy hurts me
And they killed the Jedi Order OFF SCREEN like wtf. Why would you do that i dont undertand ...
I'm tired of faith of the galaxy rely on one jedi
Prince Levi Yeah this doesn’t feel like a sort of story you tell after Return of the Jedi. We already got this story. Who’s bright idea was this? I mean it. George Lucas? JJ Abrams? Micheal Arendt, Kathleen Kennedy?
You're not going to like tRoS either...
I will

Anybody here after Mandalorian S2 finale?
Can we all breathe a huge sigh of relief to know that Gorgu wasn’t here to witness this thankfully
Yeah because he was with his father Mando
"Then this Xavier lookin dude" I love it
One thing I had going through my head was the phrase WTF. This effects Luke's reason for the exile as well. It would've been even more interesting if the knights of Ren were the students of Luke who got turned making Luke feel destroyed both as a teacher and an uncle. That would've made the Luke going into exile have even more impact.
My boy grogu dead
Honestly nothing they put out in comics or books will excite me knowing how Luke ends up.
No matter how badass they try or if they try to make Luke if Disney does books on the events between ep6 and ep7, will just seem pointless.
You know this trilogy is bad when we are 3 movies in and important details such as how Ben became Kylo Ren and joined snoke has only been explored in a comic🤦🏾♂️
Ikr. This should be in the movies
I hate how Disney expects us to buy theses comics just so we can get info for characters or events that should have already been in the movies ..they added so much stuff in each movie to the point where they can't keep up w the other stuff they had introduced in the previous movies be
Kylo: Im really really strong but a girl with 0 trainning can beat me up.

@@Reddeth6332 To be fair, Kylo had a chance to end Rey and blew it... and when Finn wounded him, he also had a chance and blew it.
Rey honestly just finished what a true hero started and took all the credit. The final battle should have been an epic Finn vs Kylo.
😂😂
I love how Ben's droid looks like a later model of the RA-7 Protocol droid, heavy Imperial vibes there.
Rip baby yoda
So wait kylo didn't kill all of Luke students and a bunch of them turned into the knights of Ren or whatever?
This is confusing man
Idk if y’all have seen the reviews yet but I’m really trying hard to go in with a open mind
same here bro
@MR. ICE thats probably the best course of action at this point, although I'll probably end up seeing it just to watch this trainwreck finally come to an end. Good thing I have those free movie passes 😁
I've missed your review of the comics. This issue was amazing and had so many reveals. I loved it!
LOL your Adam Driver impersonation is spot on. 😂😂😂😂
I'm beginning to think Snoke and Thanos are farmers in crime.
Really great video! Merry Christmas 🎄

they did this so that when he becomes a good guy in 9 you can be like 'yeah he didnt do that much bad shit'

Luke was going to kill Ben but he stop himself by felling shame and it was same thing with Obi-Wan that he couldn't kill or save Anakin.
2:38
Theory needs to use this voice for a character in his Vader films! The filter makes him almost unrecognizable, in a good way!
Who's here after the Mando finale ?
Yea facts
What if that WAS Ben, just channeling his raw power in the dark side. Canonically, it’s stated that whenever Ben got upset as a boy, things would inexplicably break around the house...and this is a Ben who’s been through training and would be stronger. Snoke said when he found him, he saw “raw, untamed power.” Maybe this is why he’s so reserved around those he isn’t intent on killing or harming
