Plagueis was such a bad ass. He's literally the reason Palpatine was able to execute order 66. He's the one who had the clone army made, he's the one who got Palpatine elected, and he's the one who's force manipulations made the force create anakin to create "balance" but hands Palpatine an apprentice to help carry out his will. He is literally the reason we have star wars as we know it!
I thought palpatine was the one who manipulated the midichlorians to create anakin ? . Unless you’re view is that plagueis was still the reason since he taught palpatine how to do it
@@narsayeee1578 As far as the legends Book about plagueis is concerned it was plagueis whose force manipulations led to anakin being created to "right the balance". Palpatine had only been an apprentice for 10 years at this point and was still pretty new to the dark side. He's also the one that set the grand plan in motion by having the clone army prepared 10 years in advance and is the reason Palpatine became grand chancellor.
@@dtwduuvaaall6865 didn’t palpatine send sifo-dyas to commission the clone army ? In a recent comic of Star Wars it’s said online that palpatine manipulated the midichlorians to create anakin , obviously would have learnt it from plagueis though

Palpatine was a Sith Lord, not Michael Jackson.
Palpatine wanted to show anakin his light sabre
A lot of you dont realize that anakins ascension to darth vader was part of the force's plan to bring balance to the force. George Lucas confirmed this when denouncing the sequel trilogy. He says "Many people mistake that Luke is the chosen one who defeated the sith, but in reality Luke only aided Anakin to defeat the sith, but balance meant destroying the jedi order too, therefore, despite the empire and vader's atrocities, balance was still brought to the force by Anakin"
Im heavily paraphrasing but basically anakin was the one who killed palpatine, not luke
I mean you can literally see that Vader kills Sidious, not Luke.
I started with the prequels so anakin was always the protagonist /chosen one to me
@@megablademe4930 and yet, somehow he returns...
@@nomes7918 that's why the big bad enemy revealed in episode 9 should have been Plaugeis, revealing that in his work to become immortal he was able to find some sort of way to cheat death such as the Star Wars / Force version of a Lich/Balenorn (undead wizard who uses magic to cheat death) or some other unnatural process, just as Qi-Gon had discovered how to communicate to the living from beyond using the force.

In one of the Vader comics we see palpatine manipulating the midi chlorians
From what I have heard, Plaguis seems more inquisitive of Anakin than fearful of him. He might have been able to feel the great potential of the force in Anakin. I believe that he would strike a friendship with the boy and try to learn as much of him as possible. Being a businessman in the public spotlight he might have gone to Tatooine and brought Semi into his service to see if there were any effects from the force-induced birth. He might have a meeting with Qi-Gon, but instead of a sword duel they would hammer an agreement: they would train Anakin in the ways of both the light and dark together so as to make Anakin a balance in the living force. This would allow Plaguis to see how the force acts and reacts as Anakin grows in his training and to give him a better understanding of whether or not he caused the force to create the boy in response to his studying and pushing the limits of his own power and abilities.

What is balance?
2 Sith means there must be 2 jedi. Anakin killed all but Yoda and Obi-Wan. Balance.
@@r13hd22 In Star Wars balance in the force isn't supposed to be equal amount of light and dark, the dark side of the force is more like a corruption than it is the other side of a coin, balance is destroying the Sith and the power they've amassed through a thousand years with the rule of two. I think its a bunch of BS just created to give the fans an fan-gasm. It doesn't make sense that he's still alive in the Phantom Menace.
The Sith have the rule of two; we know Maul is Palpatine's apprentice in the Phantom Menace. So you could argue that Palpatine became a Sith master while Plagieus was stil alive and Plagieus got another apprentice. But Plagieus was killed by his apprentice in his sleep, this apprentice being Palpatine. So, in between the Phantom Menace and The Revenge Of The Sith, Palpatine became Plagieus his apprentice again and killed him?! And somewhere before or after that he also aquired Count Dooku as an apprentice?!
@@Boris_V Well the rule of two isn't a cosmic rule or something, like "you can't go faster than the speed of light" 😆 Dooku had Ventress as an apprentice when he was apprentice to Palpatine, also at some point Maul had his brother as apprentice while Palpatine, Dooku and Ventress were still alive, five sith in total 😆 Back in the old republic (before the rule) there was a shit load of sith. Balance means zero siths. Like in your life do you balanced when you have bad and goods things happen to you?
I may be wrong but so correct me if I am, but these are a few things I have picked up over the years. Yoda's Prophesy many hundreds of years prior said there would be one who would bring balance to the Force. Possibly one conceived by the Force itself? The Jedi took this to mean that the force would be out of balance but were too nieve to consider themselves as part of the problem. For a long time, the Jedi were unopposed because the Sith had gone into hiding. I suspect that Plagueis, while he had a plan and was a really powerful Sith master was considerate of his actions and likely a lot wiser than Sidious/Palpatine. I understood that Palpatine killed Plagueis when he thought he was now better than Plagueis. In Hindsight Plagueis was a lot wiser still. But unfortunately was killed by his impetuous student who didn't have the same foresight.
Plagueis, as Palpatine said was able to create and sustain life due to his immense connection and control of the force. As for the Prophesy, it is my understanding that while people have but the legacy on Anakin Skywalker, I believe he is not directly the one. Arguably that he and Luke together might be the One to create Balance. Another theory is that the 2 of them together paved the way for Rey to be the One. She upholds the principle of the Jedi while coming from sith heritage. Rey, much like Asoka and the Bendu before, is likely to seek a middle ground. And as the last one left (we assume) trained in the way of the force. She has become the Balance with neither side holding any power.

@Laith Rajha sorry I only partly agree, my ideas were just a bit of fun and kinda bad lol...but I belive snoke was ment to be plagueis in 7 8 and 9 and survived in his own body like you said hence the damage and his fragility... it was set up to be revealed imo as he is referred to as very wise by kylo ren, and the theme as he is introduced is an altered version of the theme played during the story of Darth plagueis the wise in episode 3, andy circus claimed snoke was ancient, powerful yet very frail from his injuries...and Adam driver was asked in an interview post episode 7 if he knew about darth plagues the wise and his face just gave it away, so I have no doubts.....but yeah the whole cloning thing was abit rubbish in general...but palpatines was a more awkward fit for me, basically because of how it affects the legacy of the older films considering he served as the secret evil grandmaster who's fate was part of a heros journey and concluded on screen , rian didn't want that being redone with snoke so he sliced him in half badaboom..kylo ren is the big bad guy...except he was way too likeable to serve as the main villan and clearly set to align with the light side...its just Disney's falt, they were too concerned about sequels threequels, spin offs, and coffee mugs and rey Skywalker action figures to even care about the feel of the series.

The Plagueis book fit so well into the Star Wars lore.
How did Plagueis try to meet Anakin if he was killed before by Sidious? Maul was already Sidious's apprentice when Qui-Gon took Anakin with him.
@@tikku-ukko He wasn't, Plagueis was very much alive during the clone wars, just out of sight.
The training and reveal of Maul was part of Plagueis' plan. What wasn't part of it was Palpy shortly thereafter killing him and taking over the plan for himself.
@@gradyyoung1434 Oooh ok
Grady Young not during the clone wars, it was some time after TPM, in 32BBY.
@@the17kyd Plagueis didn't die after TPM. He died during it. His death happened the night before the day Palpatine was elected Supreme Chancellor, which happened before the film ended.
One of the best Star Wars books I've had the oelasure of reading. Really emphasized how so much greater the Sith was at plotting and one-on-one.
Plagueis would most likely just act like a kind man to anakin like palpatine does but not to turn anakin to the dark side he would just do it to see the boy for himself to feel the force and if it’s strong with anakin and when he finds out that the force was strong with anakin he would get palpatine to slowly try to get anakin to join the dark side of the force
Kid anakin:I don’t want to be a problem
Qua-Gon:You won’t be
Then he becomes the biggest problem in the universe lol
Would love to see a movie or Series about Plaugeis...
Perhaps Benedict Cumberbatch as the Wise Sith Lord?
not from disney
I’d prefer Charles Dance to take the role

I never knew about you until discord. Love your channel. Good job.
Love this book....it's a classic as far as I'm concerned. The story of Darth Plagueis puts The Phantom Menace into perfect context. The audiobook is superbly read too.
Had the opposite effect on me and is one of the main reasons I will never buy another star wars novel. Had no respect for existing lore and changed not only TPM, but the entire prequel and slapped every fan of novels before 2010 in the face with a disrespect for everything they knew.
There can be only a master and an apprentice. The Rule of 2. Created 1000s of years before this time period. Palpatine changes this rule after becoming Emperor...this is why there are not a bunch of sith running around like Jedi.
Ultimately, the Star Wars saga seems like the story of a really messed up family.
That's typically what sagas are.
And that too with no incest involved. Unless Disney wants to go there.
That is exactly what it is.
George lucas said thats what its about fathers and sons, a space opera

Mickey Mouse said this never happened.
The Mouse Apocrapha are false scriptures, exercises in Sith deception, to convince us of quick and easy paths. Set aside their corrupted teachings.
Worse; it happened, but none of it mattered or made a difference, because there wasn't a wahman to defeat them.
It’s not a story the mouse would tell you...
No one cares about mickey
Impossible... perhaps the archives are incomplete
The moment a Sith lord loses is when that Sith questions his own Authority.
Darth Cartman never would.
Thank you for the great video, and sharing!
In the event Disney sells the franchise back to Lucus - I would like to see the original final trilogy play it's way out.
And yes, it would be very interesting if Jar Jar is in fact Darth Plageous.
Plagueis is an excellent book. But as far as I'm concerned it's very clear in the book that plagueis accidentally created anakin during his meditations. Something he realises when he finally sees anakin and has powerful visions. He intended to tell sidious that they will need to alter their plans, but realising that sidious was going to betray him, he duped sidious into killing him. He's a serious monastic ascetic dedicated to understanding the force, with extraordinary mental and physical force control. The idea that he can be intoxicated on wine and distracted by sidious's small talk at such an epic moment is unrealistic (his visions had shown him that this was not the final ultimate victory he was designing - something he didn't share with sidious - and sidious himself couldn't hardly believe how easy killing plagueis was either). Plagueis never actually died, but that story will probably never be correctly told now after these recent disastrous Disney movies.
An, “I am the father,” moment.
2:08 "Can I ask what the prophecy is? Why is that something I don't know?!"
I think he would kill him right on sight after feeling the potential power of both light and dark side, that could even ruin Plagueis ultimate plan. Having Anakin on his mind, not being able to reach the boy is exactly what palatine needed. Plagueis was distracted by this disturbance in the force, allowing by then Sidious to kill him. This is exactly why he didn't meet the boy Vader, as he was meant to bring balance to the force. Plaguesis death was the first domino to fall.
the force is anakins father so technically the force is male. take that Kathleen Kennedy.
Who's Kathleen?

J/A BOYS ehhhhhhhhh
I like the fact that the Sith seem to believe that the Jedi are sort of naive/easily deceived, but as soon as Qui-Gon is sure of something, the sith go "Well shit!" It seems like they view Qui-Gon as being way smarter/more in-tune with the force than the rest of the Jedi. It's like that meme of "I fear no man. But that thing... it really scares me" only it's "I fear no jedi. But Qui-Gon... he really scares me"
I think that might be because Qui-Gon is more of a Grey Jedi, at least in certain novels.
This was great can't wait for the next one

The way I see it. Anakin DID bring balance to the force: Vader and Palpatine on the one hand. And Kenobi and Yoda on the other.
Balance.
exactly
One possible scenario is that if Plagueis had met him, he would have not sensed the force in him, since Anakin was mentioned to be nearby and Plagueis didn’t sense it. However, upon seeing Anakin he may have had powerful visions about him after leaving Anakin which would have increased his desperation to get him in the Sith’s clutches. This would have made the storyline possibly more Sith centered and focused on the tensions between Palpatine and Plageuis and less focused on the heroes. This would have created an interesting plot point as to how Plageuis’ power compete with Sidious’ political savvy and what happens when one idea base restricts the other in the quest for greater power.
Rey then showed up and everyone laughed.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Get out
I still dont understand why this wasn't in the movie shit would of been so good
Because it would’ve made no sense for Plagious to be there along with Sidious and Maul. That’s 3 Siths and plus with the Tragedy of Darth Plagious the Wise it was implied it happened many years before Anakin was even born.
Your videos are so cool. May the force be with you 😊
Thank god for you! I watched star wars last year for first time and became obsessed! I desperately need these explanations!💜❤️🔥❤️
I still say Plagueis was the one who created Anakin as the true counter to destroy Palpatine as he forseen the rise of the Empire and perhaps even his own death. Plus, Palpatine himself in ROTS says "To cheat death is a power only one has achieved, but if we work together, I know we can discover the secret." That right there pretty much seals it for me. Plagueis created Anakin and Palpatine wanted to discover that secret, hence why he wanted Anakin and why he kept him by his side for so long. And in RoS it seems as though he may have gotten his wish.
I remember when I read one of the phantom Menace Books I forgot what it was but Anakin talked about how he found a old sith hologram and he told one of the old pilots and how the pilot turned cold and scared and told Anakin some sith legends I thought it was cool
Thats dope af , plaigus was kicking around :O
I’d love a film or Disney+ series based on Plaugise with his master, and then how he came to meet Palpatine. I know we have the book, and the book is amazing, but something that I can see on screen would be great.
