Listen "Summer lighting" from Breathless. Is the best Andy solo ever played?

In my opinion you hit the best live performance of them, so great job with your random search! I saw that you noticed that he switched guitars. It took me a few watches before i even noticed...he was playing Les Paul in the beginning and switched during the orchestral section.

The guitarist is Andy Latimer, he's now the only surviving member of the original band. He had some serious health issues some years back, but fortunately recovered. As far as I know the band are still performing. Their catalogue is extensive and well worth checking out.

The first band I ever saw live, back in '76, Moon madness tour, Manchester Free trade Hall. Albatross!

Andrew Latimer is my all-time favorite guitarist. If you like David Gilmour from Pink Floyd, you will like Latimer as well. They shared similar textures in their guitar works. Unfortunately, Latimer is much less known than Gilmour.

The whole album 'The Snow Goose' is instrumental. It's one of their best, imo (a must listen).
The album is inspired by the book of the same name by Paul Gallico.
In the classic interlude (I believe it's a bassoon) you just see the snow goose waddling by.
I think Camel is the record holder for most lineup changes.
Andy Latimer is my favorite guitarist along with Steve Rothery (Marillion) and David Gilmour (Pink Floyd).
    Some suggestions:
    Lady Fantasy
    Summer Lightning
    Sahara
Please check out some Marillion songs also...

Classic instrumental! For a more energetic instrumental check out Gentle Giant's Boys in the Band from their Octopus album.
