I am Mexican and I absolutely LOVED your video. I love the respect and appreciation that you have for our culture and the fact that you have taken the trouble to learn our language. Keep up with your wonderful work! Gracias y abrazos!
I had never realized how shocking it can be to see so much partying in a cemetery hahaha, but it's always like that, they sell all kinds of food, flowers, they have mini concerts, there are games, even movie screenings, contests for the best catrina costume, because the dead are supposed to be enjoying this day too. My father always spills a little of his beer to toast them, he believes that even though they are dead, they deserve to have a little fun hahaha.
Finally someone recognizes how rude and dehumanizing taking pictures and recording videos without permission can be. Many tourist specially from western country think when they travel abroad locals are just there to entertain them and please them, being disrespectful and feeling entitled on foreign land is so annoying to see, specially when they do it just for views or likes. Thank you 🙏🏼 for speaking up about it, I have a feeling the more popular this tradition will get, the more tourists there will be among locals. Btw you look absolutely beautiful with that Catrina make up and flowers.
What an amazing experience! I think it was really cool that you and your friends were invited to dance up on the stage that one night. That looked like a lot of fun! I'm glad you had such a great time with experiencing the Day of the Dead in Mexico! Great video!
Such a great video! As a Mexican, I truly enjoy all of them but this one in particular is very special of course. Thank you for your respect and for your love to our country Crosby.
Why did you include locals celebrating with their music and parades with being a problem along the grossly behaved tourists 💀💀 they arent the problem not even a little bit
As Mexican, 70 years old, looks like the real meaning of "Dia de muertos" has been changed and it is far away of the real and truly meaning of this day. This day must be a remembrance of our loved ones who are not longer with us physically but who live in our hearts, period. Parades, drunkenness, bar reservations, street parties, foreign youtubers who only come for the video, for the photo for instagram, to get views, even have even made movies about it. This is a little bit sad....
I believe things evolve with ages. Just like you have not stayed the same as you were when you were 20 just has this as well has changed. I also don’t agree with the clubs but I do agree that the new generation is finding ways of continuing to honor their loved ones. I think the parades are still a way of celebrating our loved ones who are no longer with us physically.
A very nice video. I’m a Canadian that owns a condo in PV. Have many Mexican friends that celibate the dia de muertos. I’m also scared of death- trying to get over that. Thanks.
You look so gorgeous as a Caterina Thank you for loving the Aztec nation especially its traditions & taking us along on your trips to this North American country "México" Greetings from Santa Monica California 🇺🇸 🇲🇽 🇨🇦
I loved the video! I need to experience Dia de la Muertos in Mexico, I really love that tradition. The face painting was fantastic and I totally appreciate the respect you gave at the cemetery and that you left when you did. Looks like everyone had a great time!
Crosby I am Mexican! I was raised Catholic. I believe in reincarnation. If it helps think of the "tourist" as a love one from the past coming to visit! The flower the "cempasuchil" the orange marigold is used to attract our love ones with it's smell and color! So it works look at everyone the flowers attracted to come "visit" our beautiful country during this tradition. Maybe we are or "were" Mexicans now or at some other time in the past. But we are all "Mexicans" during these festivities! Awesome video! One of the best I've seen. Thank you for your work. VIVA MEXICO! P.S. ....Death is undefeated! Have fun Living!
Thanks! That video was amazing. We are going next year. I am so excited. I have experienced embarrassing moments when in Spain at a flamenco show (some other Americans were so rude and disrespectful) it was so embarrassing and sad.
Your music choices are always such a slay!! I appreciate your deep respect and understanding of our culture and just how much effort you put into giving context to those who may be new to Mexico. I hope to live in a world where all tourists are like you. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Estupendo, Crosby! Such a passionate and authentic way of reporting from your immersion into Dia de los Muertos, and how it has transformed you. Way to go, Scorpionic Guapa! I also appreciated that you included how the tourist 'invasion' at the graves put you off - and how gracefully and inclusively the Mexicans seem to treat the situation.
It is the largest and most important cultural tradition in all of America 🌎. Not only Mexicans 🇲🇽, United Statesians 🇺🇸, Colombians 🇨🇴, Brazilians🇧🇷 or Argentines🇦🇷 enjoy this celebration, but also Europeans, Asians and some Africans and Oceanians.

They would not had food stalls at cemeteries if they didn't expect the huge cloud... Don't be too upset, they aren't...
