That’s how I feel too. Moving back to the states has left me feeling empty. I’ve been back for a year now and I’ve really isolated myself. I miss Mexico dearly. Living there made me full of life and I felt so much happiness. I’ve been trying to plan how to move back.
Again and again I hear similar reports, it seems to be a country that strikes the heart of so many! Been all around the world and although I am always sad to leave, I've never said to myself "I want here to be my home". I'm talking about a real permanent home, not just hanging for a few months. Mexico seems to be different in that way for a lot of people. Hoping it strikes me the same! Where in Mexico did you like the best? On my list for possible place to call home so far are:Guanajuato, Morelia, Oaxaca, San Cristobal. Oaxaca easy to grab the short flight to Puerto Escondido for a beach fix, I like these cities because you have elevation and don't deal with the very hot/humid challenge as in Yucatan etc. Would love to hear your thoughts!
@@JennieDreamWeaver Mexico doesn't want more US people moving there working remotely and making our lives more difficult, especially when you treat our immigrant so disgracefully.
Let us see Tampa!! We all love you here, so it would be cool to see the family, friends, and home that shaped such a beautiful soul!!! Thank you for working so hard for our entertainment, your hard work is so appreciated. Safe travels.
I really love the day in the life videos but I'm just happy seeing videos from you. Absolutely take time off for yourself, everyone needs that self-care. Yes, vlogs from FL would be great! We had snow for the first time a week ago, it's melted now but will be back with a vengeance, no doubt, so FL vlogs will be great! Take care, safe travels.
Maybe down the road you'll end up making somewhere in Mexico your home base, you never know! I'm going down in January to look at possibilities for my move to Mexico, and Oaxaca City / Pacific coast is first on my list to spend time in. Got my permanent residency card and a lifetime of travel and adventure continues! When you go to South Africa see if you can make it to Mozambique, amazing diving, beautiful people. I drove there (and Swaziland) after exiting the southern portion of Kruger Park. Female solo road trip, one of the best adventures ever! Every bucket list ought to have at least one border crossing in Africa on it!
The lucha libre looked quite intense and exciting at the same time! It sounds like you have a lot of exciting travel plans coming up in 2024! I'm glad to hear that Mexico is feeling more and more like a second home. Everything you have been showing has been absolutely incredible! I'm sure you will be back there very soon! I also need to plan my first trip to Mexico soon as I would love to check it out for myself someday!
It's such a huge diverse country with lots of amazing nature, people and foods - you've got that right! Totally different culture obviously but it's definitely rich in beauty and culture, just like Indonesia
Very enjoyable and informative..as always...oaxaca is on my short list! In Tampa make your videos as usual then you can edit and decide about posting later.
Have fun and enjoy your time in Tampa. Mexico will not go anywhere and will be waiting for you when you are able to go back. I will be in Brasil in February.. miss you Crosby and remember you are always welcome in Vancouver
I'm currently in Oaxaca, Mexico, I'm going to definitely try that Chocolate ice cream. You'll love my home country of South Africa, Definitely visit Cape Town, and pop in for a coffee at my work, Cape Town Creative Academy at the V&A Waterfront if you do go to Cape Town. Also visit The Kruger National Park, the most amazing place in the world :) Happy travels.
I love Oaxaca! Been there 5-6 times and I’m going for Christmas this year. Definitely want to check out Almú-turns out my hotel is a 5 minute walk from there. And the ice cream! One of my favorite places is Café de la Selva, which is a cat café-I’m a serious cat lady and also vegetarian (the food at that café is wonderful and vegan). I also love that organic market and the barrio of Jalatlaco. If I were young like you I’d probably be a digital nomad, but I missed that opportunity by a few decades. Are your parents ok with it? When I was in my 20s I went to India and wanted to go back and just travel around but my parents pitched a fit. But of course in those days keeping in touch was not easy. Anyway, have a wonderful time traveling!
I would just love to see Tampa and what Florida is all about. I live in Nova Scotia and went there as a kid in a trailer but that was a long time ago. ❤😊
Quick question for Crosby - when you do the long trips like bouncing from San Cristobal up to Sayulita (a while back) do you just get the closest flight back up to MEX and then go on to your destination? I'm finding you have to go all the way up to MEX to catch a flight to where you want to go much of the time and after doing all that you only save a couple of hours on time vs. a bus! So even when happy to spend the extra $ often the flying does not do much. For instance getting from San Cris to Yucatan destinations , gotta go back up to MEX. Find this to be accurate?

EVEN IM NOT A FAN, so glad u enjoyeyd the crazyness of Lucha libre. One of dozends of crazy mexican traditions. i hope u are less butnout these weeks but taker ur time every time u need it. And dont worry that mmuch about ur "first world problems" haha well, since u are from a "first world" cuntry u are priviledge already but u clearly are living mexico in the most mexican way u can. Lots of tourists (mainly gringos and mainly older) still visit mexico in the tourist and superficial way and u DONT, u explore and learn as many as u can and thats impresive and u know mexicans apreciate it. I wish u could experiment much more of mexican experiences, i know u will do in the future. Next year i'd love u could visit ZOCALO clearly in MEX CITY during independence day. know u're not into politics and its perfect but its the ending of president term and BELIEVE ME Independence day is gonna be CRAZY. u should definitely enjoy the experience of the "Cry of independence" in the very Zocalo, its totally chilling. Wellcome back ANYTIME❤
I’m a Digimad too, currently in Cancun after Dubai and the contrast was not a good choice . One extreme to the next. I’m spending most of time in Cancun trying to find wifi and a clean sink to wash my hands. Don’t even think about taking a cab and you better know Spanish or your iced latte will be a croissant with whip. Grace make Dubai you next stop and you’ll never look at a public bathroom in the west the same again. Once you bum gun there’s no going back . I don’t know how Americans have landing rockets and stock markets but still smear them selves with poopie paper!?
