I just upgraded my Samsung s20+ to the s22+ there's not lot of difference Verizon Wireless has some really good deals going on for top dollar trade ends so i decided to go for it seeing how my s20+ was in really good shape! Battery life could be better but I can get a good day out of my s22+ and it charges pretty fast! I recommend this device for sure! Thanks for your review good job!
Great Review!!. you hit the nail on the head... i came from an Iphone 12 Pro Max to the S22Plus. The iphones are so heavy and bulky compared to the S22plus and Samsung has really stepped up in the last few years.
Samsung have cut some corners they never would have considered if LG were still competing with them . They dropped the SD card slot and 1440p screens on all flagship models and the 3.5mm . All features their main competitors in Korea kept putting in their devices . I have the S22 Ultra but I still can't resist picking up my LG V60 when I feel like the amazing shots I still get from its true pro features in the camera , the hifi DAC, better speakers than the Ultra.
yeah it sucks that LG is out of the game and sony has such little market share. I don't mind the loss of 3.5mm personally, but an SD card slot would be helpful for media creation and storage.

It's only for Qualcomm version. Exynos version don't know what happen with that. I had high hopes with that but somehow it is still behind from Qualcomm in terms of gaming performance and battery test. But still exynos improved a lot after that 990 fiasco from s20 and note 20 scene.
I'm literally doing that. Just ordered the S22 plus but also still thinking of maybe I should have gone with the Ultra. Juat got tired of folding and unfolding the phone lol
@@CultivatedBunny ultra is pretty good too, I just didn't go that route due to not ever using my spen, so I just went with a easy to carry no hassle option due to the ultra's boxier body and curved screen uncomfortable design.
@@ligernaut pretty much we thinking the same lol. I rarely used the spen when I had the notes. The camera I didn't really care for since I don't care about taking pictures. The only thing the put me off a bit was the display with the low ppi but then I come to find out my fold 3 has even lower ppi and didn't bother me at all and made me feel better about it.
I've heard very mixed reviews with the s22 plus honestly. Me personally I use the s22 ultra I like the feel of the large phone and the s-pen even the curved edges have me 😃!

The reason for it was due to a software update, but Samsung is saying it's customer induced. So no warranty and will need a payed screen replacement for an issue caused by their software update. Prime examples, S20 series S21 series Samsung TVs Etc... For all of you who have suffered any similar issues with any other ones, please feel free to fill in the list and let's make sure that no one else suffered the same fate.
The difference between 4k and 8k is not going to be noticeable on a screen this small. You won't see a real difference in detail unless you view the video on a large screen, like a big screen TV or bigger.
Battery life on all Samsung devices with the top of the line processor's don't have great battery life they are none for top of the line displays and speedy responses! Go for middle range Samsung devices for battery life smaller Processors!

This phone is absolutely nightmare for me, the phone overheating like a flat iron, massive lag when doing simple scrolling internet, apps like Facebook don’t open, games like Clash of Clans open after 5 minutes loading, the phone needs to charge twice a day.. horrible!

The ultra to me is immediately trash because of the curved display; the S22+ though looks great. I just wish they would’ve thrown the better zoom in the + model. Sick of companies putting flagship specs behind junk ass curved display models.
Get a battery life pretty good not great they definitely could have put a bigger battery in would have been better it's funny I have an iPhone 13 for work it's a much smaller battery a much smaller phone but it gets 6 to 8 hours screen on time no problem.
I feel like 45W Charging is just enough for the size of this battery. I don’t understand these crazy fast charging speeds and the hype around it. Device gets hot, Battery will degrade faster. There are such things as too fast.

What settings did you use to make your phone look like that? Thats clean af and looks very neat. I personally generally think the the One UI looks a bit clunky, but with your customisation it just looks so pretty. What did you do?
I have the S22 and its great. The cameras are really good, and the 3x telephoto is really useful. Low light conditions are not a problem anymore. The almost flat sides are a great feature, I find they make the phone much more comfortable to hold. The fingerprint reader is excellent. I was using the S21 previously, and I can confirm that the S22 is an improvement. I really wanted the S22 because I prefer smaller phones, but I can understand that the S22+ may be the better choice for some.
how are you dealing with battery life? My s20 broke and i ordered an s22 as replacement because i got a good deal. I am concerned about battery life but at the same time my s20 exynos isn't exactly good in battery department either and i charge everyday after work anyway... and im fine with that. If i don't like it i'll only use it until the s23 release and then i'll trade it in but still. I really want to like the s22 because of it's size and design.

I have checked the option to limit charging to no more than 85%, to avoid wearing out the battery and have to replace it after 3 years, and even with this, the phone has between 5 and 6.5 hours "screen on" time. You may have to charge it before going to bed on some days. So battery life is not exceptional but not bad either.
@@vyvynylification mine doesnt get more than 4 and a half hours if im lucky. keep battery saver on all day and have a lot of battery draining stuff off. maybe mine is just a crappy battery

A really good job on the review and I agree with you on most of things I would say the one bummer is the screen is definitely a downgrade as I had an s20 Plus and the screen was sharper without a doubt I also had an SD card but I guess that's another story
I was gifted a second hand 2 month old s22 base model. It's not quite as smooth as the 4xl or 7t I used last couple of years but it's a very nice upgrade. I assume this is just the heavier software which makes typing seem like is ever so slightly off from perfect. A few little sluggish jitters. I am a very heavy user. But not too bad since my second hand 4xl from 2020 charged often 1 time during day and overnight the battery life still same pretty much 6 hours sot..I get about 7 on OP7t converted tmo to international. 11 or at times Android 13 rom. So far I've turned off the ram boost. I don't need over 8. Never have. I never really care about opening an app from earlier in the day and I normally do not multitask. Occasionally however I do find that grabbing a page when signing in a code is helpful. For that I'm straight. I disabled 20 plus apps or Uninstalled the ones I was able to. Carefully removed a package installer from verizon which wanted to keep pulling huge games. I do not like that. Also this phone came with an unlimited verizon line. So I don't own tbe line. Only the phone. So for now I'll make sure to keep most of this stuff as is. So far I need more testing with camera. Haven't tried the video yet. My excitement is using the portrait video for my little crappy newb guitar channel. Hope this makes a little positive impact. Anyway. Great review. And thanks if you read my little story. Hahaha. Would you prefer S22+ over Pixel 7? I am confused which one to buy. My priority is performance, software experience, battery life, easy regular use, practicality, nice display. Camera is just secondary.
It kind of depends what phone you have now if you have an s20 Plus I would wait until the s23 I don't think it's enough of an upgrade in some ways it's a downgrade the screen isn't as good and you're losing the SD card but I can only tell you that from personal experience I should have waited
Hey Alex i am using Samsung Galaxy Note 8 from past two years recently i bought Samsung Galaxy S22+ & both phones are brand new so i noticed that note 8 display and colors are way more beautiful than s22+ & it's huge difference not jist colors but when i compare the quality in both phone note 8 is far more better than s22+. Now let's talk about the camera 12 vs 50 you won't believe again note 8 is far more camera than 50 megapixel s22+ camera. Quality wise color wise note 8 is beast in front of s22+. If you think that i am saying anything wrong so just try it by yourself.
Heheh...talking about Goldilocks, I just got an S22+ here in the USA a couple of days, in pink gold color! Being a straight male, I was kind of hesitant, but was delighted to find that it is more gold than pink! 😄😄😄 I love this phone; I had traded in a 3 and a half year old Galaxy S10. The phone ad said it has stereo speakers; I had no idea one of speakers is hidden above the front camera; I had to google and find out where it is! I spent so much more than getting a Galaxy A53 5G because of wireless charging and its e-SIM capability to handle 2 or more phone SIMs. I drove around town yesterday, as we live in a fringe area kind of far from cell towers. Using Speedtest, the 5G speed was 90 to 120 Mbps which is grand. I use Spectrum, which uses the C-Band of the Verizon network in the USA which is the largest network in the USA. Even my home Internet from Spectrum only gives about 200 Mbps at best though the company claims 400 Mbps.
I really wanted to love the S22+... but after a few days I sold it away and went back to my 12 Pro Max.. The battery life on the S22+ is really abysmal... also the shutter lag is really bad.. i remeber taking it out on the weekend to take pictures of my young children and it was terrible.. i missed like 60% of the shots..
It looks nice screen is great battery life meh and the worst thing is the top speaker lot's of people and me after having this phone for 1 week it already given me problems when looked online i'm not the only one with this issue do flights or after strong temperature fluctuations speaker will make creaking sounds the only fix LOL FIX YEAH is to remove the sim card tray and put it back and the speaker works again for how long let me guess if you listen to music or talk to people this will come back and Samsung won't even admit they f... up will be retuning this crap to amazon

I've had this phone for about 2 months. Only problem I have with it is the camera lag, unsure as to what causes it but it's very noticable
@Shahem Owies not exactly 6 hours but you can go above 5 without camera around 15% remaining.

My opinion is, if you're going to wait for the s23, might as well wait for the s24. Samsung always gives great trade-in values

It kind of depends what phone you have now if you have an s20 Plus I would wait until the s23 I don't think it's enough of an upgrade in some ways it's a downgrade the screen isn't as good and you're losing the SD card but I can only tell you that from personal experience I should have waited

Hey Alex i am using Samsung Galaxy Note 8 from past two years recently i bought Samsung Galaxy S22+ & both phones are brand new so i noticed that note 8 display and colors are way more beautiful than s22+ & it's huge difference not jist colors but when i compare the quality in both phone note 8 is far more better than s22+.
Now let's talk about the camera 12 vs 50 you won't believe again note 8 is far more camera than 50 megapixel s22+ camera. Quality wise color wise note 8 is beast in front of s22+.
If you think that i am saying anything wrong so just try it by yourself.
Heheh...talking about Goldilocks, I just got an S22+ here in the USA a couple of days, in pink gold color! Being a straight male, I was kind of hesitant, but was delighted to find that it is more gold than pink! 😄😄😄 I love this phone; I had traded in a 3 and a half year old Galaxy S10. The phone ad said it has stereo speakers; I had no idea one of speakers is hidden above the front camera; I had to google and find out where it is! I spent so much more than getting a Galaxy A53 5G because of wireless charging and its e-SIM capability to handle 2 or more phone SIMs. I drove around town yesterday, as we live in a fringe area kind of far from cell towers. Using Speedtest, the 5G speed was 90 to 120 Mbps which is grand. I use Spectrum, which uses the C-Band of the Verizon network in the USA which is the largest network in the USA. Even my home Internet from Spectrum only gives about 200 Mbps at best though the company claims 400 Mbps.
I really wanted to love the S22+... but after a few days I sold it away and went back to my 12 Pro Max.. The battery life on the S22+ is really abysmal... also the shutter lag is really bad.. i remeber taking it out on the weekend to take pictures of my young children and it was terrible.. i missed like 60% of the shots..
It looks nice screen is great battery life meh and the worst thing is the top speaker lot's of people and me after having this phone for 1 week it already given me problems when looked online i'm not the only one with this issue do flights or after strong temperature fluctuations speaker will make creaking sounds the only fix LOL FIX YEAH is to remove the sim card tray and put it back and the speaker works again for how long let me guess if you listen to music or talk to people this will come back and Samsung won't even admit they f... up will be retuning this crap to amazon

Got the s22 ultra just the other day. And im so happy. Its a cool phone. I dont muchbuse the spen. But its cool that its there i guess if i ever find a reason fornit. Lovely cameras and screen. Best display on any device
