The arrival of I.V.Sasi in the Malayalam film industry during the 70's as a Director,
witnessed films with a new style and different pattern which was vastly different
from films of those times. The young Director in Sasi exploited the situation
successfully and made an image which was indelible. I.V. Sasi became a hot favourite of large number of movie -- goers . An array of stars were waiting to get
an entry in to his movies. Many stars were born. His movies had paved the way for
both Mamootty & Mohanlal emerging victorious and reaching their peaks and
metamorphising as super stars.
Wirh I.V.Sasi's demise, we have lost a great director who has shined not only
in the south Indian Film world but also in Bolly wood with notable contributions.
We all will miss this great personality.

I V Sasi is a great director but Mohanlal & Mammootty became superstar through other directors; not I V Sasi & hence they still maintain close friendship with them.
Mohanlal became superstar through Rajavinte makan(1986).....
Directed by Thampi kannanthanam. He maintains a close friendship with Thampi,Priyadarshan,Sathyan Anthikkad & hence he still acts in their films.
Mammootty became superstar through New Delhi(1987)..Directed by Joshi. He maintains a close friendship with Joshi, Hariharan, K madhu & hence he stills acts in their films.
Why Mammootty & Mohanlal didn't gave dates post 2000's and why they didn't acted in his films if he made Mammootty & Mohanlal superstars.
The fact is that I V Sasi is obviously a great director but Joshi, Thampi, Priyadarshan,Sathyan Anthikkad,Hariharan,K Madhu made them(M & M) superstars.....

After some time due to his repeatation of his roles Mammooty faced a decline..still he managed to gain a blockbuster through Aavanazhi by IV Sasi.Later New Delhi by Joshy became a Major breakthrough in not only his career but for the whole mollywood industry .it helped in the widening of mollywood market and Mammooty became a Mega star.
