    • @tomheringer2047
      @tomheringer2047 2 роки тому +5

      I agree, however, there is an advantage of using nitrogen in tires. The atmosphere is 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen and 1% other gases. An oxygen molecule actually has a smaller kinetic diameter than a nitrogen molecule. Therefore, it is easier for the oxygen molecules to pass between the polymer chains of the rubber compound that was used to make the tire. A tire filled with nitrogen only will hold its target pressure longer than a tire filled with compressed air.

    I absolutely love the style, features and the luxuries of GMC Sierra’s. My 2014 Z71 off-road LTZ Silverado was 44k brand new and it pretty much has the same qualities, a 2.5” lift wasn’t expensive too. Although I’ve been staying up to date with the Sierra’s and the price keeps rising and rising. I have 280k; (least to say, nothing wrong with what I have,) it has served me well and I don’t intend on selling it, but I dearly desire 3500 HD GMC with 6.6L diesel. So far the best rear view.

    The engines are a real assache to work on, and we work on them a lot. The entire wiper cowl and sheet metal is removable so it helps. I’m 6’ tall and I still need a topside creeper to do any meaningful work. We do ALOT of lifters and cams still even though you’d think they’d have figured it out by now. DFM complicated things even more than AFM now that all 8 cylinders can deactivate vs just 4.

    So regarding Nitrogen. As far as I understand the point of using pure nitrogen in racing tyres is that the tire pressure changes that occur as the tire heats up are more predictable than when using random air to fill the tires., meaning you can fill the tires cold knowing exactly what the race pressure will be. What is the benefit in this application?

      In theory the molecule size of nitrogen is bigger and doesn't pass through the tire as easily as non- nitrogen. Standard air in tires losses about 1 psi per month. Problem is you have to be fully committed. As soon as you put standard air in any benefit is gone.

    As captivating as Sarah is, I just can't stand the thought of paying $80k for that. $80 large will buy my Ram 1500 daily, Porsche Boxster S, side-by-side and enough money left over to buy her a nice dinner. That being said, I'm chomping at the bit for her Cybertruck review. 😁

    I was looking into this truck as well as the Silverado Trail Boss and I feel that the top offering engines in all of the GM "off road" vehicles is lacking. That point is even more important on this specific model because for $80K this thing should at the very least compete against a Raptor in performance.

    Hello Sarah, greetings from South West England to South West Americaland. Given the choice, I'd pick your gram's Ranger all day long over this big ol' thing. Stay fabulous Sarah.

    Si Sarah Sierra.. the rail sys under looks like old H2 but with some less Skid plating? The fail in Broncos OEM bars on early mods. The Edif and quality of mats make the pricing fair.

    There’s so much trash in that off-road area as of late. Such a shame. And Sarah plus the recent rains have really rutted those hills 🤣🤣🤣

    Hey Sarah, Great review spot on as usual definitely a little pricey more like 65,000 not 80,000 and agree definitely needs an exhaust for sure and they definitely improve the interior from the previous one and I couldn’t hear your stomach growl although I’m not listening with headphones get something to eat and have a great one🙂🐧🐧🐧👍

    Thanks a lot for this interesting review.
    Just a quick comment as the cameras do not manage to capture the hills steepness. What about drawing a terrain profile of the places where you test drive the vehicles. Then with such a graphical representation, it would be obvious how capable they are. I know it will require some extra effort and time, but then you could reuse it on all your videos. have a great weekend

    Spot on review. Too expensive and not offroady enough for an off road vehicle. Looks great though. I work with chevys and the zr2 disappointed me a bit. I expected it to compete with the raptor and trx but it falls way too short of that mark.

    Lack of towing capability and tiny bed are reasons I went with a super duty tremor instead of an at4. Great looking truck just too expensive for a half-ton.
