Hatches on boats have been made of Lexan for a long time now and their lenses seam to hold up for 30+ years easily. They usually fail due to the sealants and gaskets that hold the lens in place. Seams like a great way to build lighter roof panels for a vehicle if impact protection isn't a big concern.
It weighs 10,000lbs... But can only tow 7,500lbs. Meaning, It can't tow itself. If one of them breakdown, they'll have to get the Airforce heavy lift unit. Is it just me, but are some companies just missing the point of EVs
The point of EVs is to replace internal combustion. The Hummer gets the equivalent of 47MPGe. A similarly sized gas truck with half the power wouldn't even be half that.
Applying this same method to other conventional gasoline-powered trucks would generate equally shocking numbers. The Chevy Silverado 3500HD's 6.6-liter turbo-diesel V-8 engine makes 910 lb-ft at the crank, but multiplying that number by its first-gear and final-drive ratios results in an insane 14,129 lb-ft, more than the Hummer's claim. Marketing people going to market.
Chevy Spark EV was 400lb/ft at the motor shaft. NOT after gearing and going to the Front Wheels. Hummer EV is estimated to be around 380lb/ft for both rear motor and 350 lb/ft for the the front motors. Problem with multiple electric motor drive trains you can't just add them up as peaks may occure at different RPM range. Soo just over 1,000lb/ft over a massive Pht Torque band is where Hummer EV is overkill. That 6.6L Turbo Diesel V8 Silverado probably has like 800lb/ft plus torque band for like Half the RPM range of a Hummer EV. Big Peak + Long duration torque band is where it's killer.
Renault Mégane Sport steering mode has rear wheel steering OPPOSITE to front wheel below 60 km/h for high manoeuverability and SAME DIRECTION as front wheel steering above 60 km/h (crab) for stable highway lane changing. My wife has one. Great fun. All the best, Rob in Switzerland
Everything about that beast is insane, from the power to the crab walk, to the weight, to the crazy acceleration, to mind bending amounts of tech. GM went all out with that Hummer, including the price at $110K, it is steep. I would love to get to experience that WTF mode, at least once.
I think it’s hilarious that the Hummer H2 and H3’s are known for their horrific electrical problems and when they decided to bring it back they made it all electrical😳🤪

The air down mode just honks when you've deflated the tires to the specified psi. Can't automatically inflate or deflate the tires. They should have included an air hose attachment though since it already has an air compressor.
