    I disagree on some parts.
I think restraints of a cinematic universe are only so as long as the helmer make them to be. The MCU have been fun into having plotlines intersect and characters interact, but there's more you could do with a universe narrative-wise, and I think we just haven't see its true potential, not even with the MCU.
In a cinematic universe, you could even have a reboot within it. You mentioned 'Homecoming' and 'Thor: Ragnarok', but they're currently planning a fourth 'Captain America' movie with a different character. Sure, they're more soft-reboots than true reboots, but it still counts.
'The Batman', another reboot of the character, has just been released a while ago and I'm one of those struck unimpressed. It feels like retreading to a familiar territory. I just couldn't see the point anymore. I'm no fan of Snyder's DCEU but ironically, had the movie remained within it, it could have add more interesting points to the character.
I think in the end, what I'm really trying to say is that it's not on the idea of reboot or cinematic universe, it's how it's executed.

@@ItsGregKon you made some really good points and I particulately love your comparison as to why Iron Man succeeded and Man of Steel didn't. From the start the foundation of each film really set them up for where they went. Hadn't thought about it in that context before.
And I'm with you all the way on the main point of the video too though - reMAKES I think are largely unnecessary but reBOOTS I think can be fun and imaginative and take source material in further places than first concieved which case in point was great for something like Ragnorak as you mentioned. Awesome stuff again, I really love this channel. Sorry for the fairly lazy comment earlier I was watching while working 😂

@@LetsCrashThisParade Well said! I haven't watched this since I made it so I forget exactly what my point was😂 But I stand by the fact that there are a lot of exciting possibilities in reboots.
I like your distinction between reboot/remake. A remake can feel unnecessary if it's too soon or too similar.
Glad you like the channel, that means a lot😊 I've been a little creatively stuck lately, but it's energizing to hear that this work is bringing you joy! Thank you

Literally could not have said it better myself. It makes me really sad that the higher ups usually just wanna make cash instead of making a masterpiece. Like you said, cheap and decent.
