This reminds me that I should shot gun more often than I do now.
I had the 20 inch on back order for over a month so I picked up the 24 inch one today and took a quick walk through the woods. It's a nice little shotgun, light shooter. Bought it for fun and shooting pest around the acreage. Still excited to get the 20" version because it matches my 45-70 and would be fun to shoot some slugs through it with my wife who is a little recoil sensitive. She will shoot 12 GA pump with 00 buck if she has to but doesn't like it much. So figured we would go out and plink together with the 410's for fun and get her familiar with it. They are fun to shoot just wish ammo wasn't so unreasonably priced compared to 12 and 20 which is about 1/2 the price. Will eventually reload for them I suppose. Enjoy, they are fun little shotguns.
While it's not a 12 gauge, you put some 000 buckshot shells in 2 1/2" in these, four pellets per shell in this gun or the 20" version, don't think for a second that wouldn't make a good personal defense gun to someone who is recoil shy

Unfortunately in cowboy action, shotguns have to start unloaded so you’d have to fumble with the tube on the clock. It wouldn’t be allowed anyways as only coach guns with no ejectors only extractors, 1887/1901s, and 1897’s are allowed. And 12 gauge is usually the minimum you have to use unless approved by a range officer for a smaller stature person, kid or physically incapable person to use a 16,20 or .410. Some people have old original 10 gauge black powder that’s like cannons going off but minimal recoil because black powder. Not trying to sound preachy, I’m new to cowboy action shooting myself just figured I’d answer the question you put out there. Good video as always.
im pretty sure you can purchase a large loop lever for this firearm, i believe it is the same loop as the 45-70

Enjoyed your video. That Henry .410 looks a fun gun.
After shooting various 12 gauge shotguns over the last 50 odd years, I recently bought a single shot .410 shotgun and am enjoying shooting it in the field for close range bunnies. A repeater of some kind would be handy but , here in OZ, pump and semi- auto shotguns are prohibited but you can have a pump action rifle but not a semi-auto--even in .22 rimfire. Don't try to figure out the logic--there isn't any. So, I'd like to get something that gives me a second shot or more. That leaves me with double shotguns or a lever action. However, I've priced lever action shotguns and they are well over the thousand dollar mark---out of my budget.
Your Henry has a very smooth action. I've tried cycling an Adler and a Chiappa L/A shotgun at a local gun shop and they were both a bit clunky. Looks like I might have hold out for a reasonably priced SxS .410.

In cowboy action shooting, you have to use a lever gun that shoots a pistol bullet.
I've been looking for a 12 guage lever any suggestions? Henry's are a bit on the high side.
It's a short range gun! At 20 yds it's versatile, lethal and effective...snake or man (and there ain't much difference)
I wonder if it will shoot 45 also.

Who cares what color he picks honestly, for all we know it could be in support for someone he knows or just to support breast cancer. Or he just likes pink. Everyone is different. The only funny part is that he has them on backwards for most of the video. Microphones are supposed to be facing forward.
The only reason i would use a shotgun it for varment hunting.
I don't like having to dig all the pellets out of meat i am going to eat.
Getting rid of animals destroying my property or killing my live stock is what i would use this for.
Would make a good self defend also, not so loud as a big shotgun.
And can use 410 slugs.
When my dad first started me hunting, i was using 22 long rifle.
Then he started me with a 16 gauge shotgun.
I ended up buying a single shot 16 gauge shotgun for my first gun.

Ok I know this is stupid but is it possible to but a silencer or a sipresser on a shotgun?
I don't believe you can. However, you can put a supresser on a centerfire lever action gun if you get the barrel threaded.

@@Fellatron8 Yes you can. They're quite common in the UK but rarely seen in the US. The shot stays as one solid mass until it exits the barrel so it isn't really that different to suppressing a rifle.
