Ha! Funny enough we also just did a game using Kingpin, street level heroes (Spidey and DD) and added the Secret Identity Challenge for thematic fun....it was a blast - we got hit hard at the very beginning of the game and were playing from behind the whole time. It actually felt like we were so down that we there was no chance of winning but managed to squeak one out at the very end!
I know that Commander Mode and Multi-Hand have their strengths and weaknesses....Why don't you try to split the difference and play multi-hand with just two characters? Could give you more of the challenge you're looking for without the hassle and space of managing too many characters at once?

You know, that’s a really good question. For some reason I just got in my head from the beginning that 3 was a good number and never looked back lol. I’ve played a 4 player game, and a bunch of 3, but never 2. I’ll have to try that to see how it feels!

Man, I love close games like that! Right down to the wire! Way to take down the Kingpin! Any plans to take on Bulleye as a villain? Spiderverse sounds awesome! Green Goblin is tough, but should be fun to watch!
I'm a bit partial, but I do enjoy the painted minis myself.
Oh my gosh yes thank you lol, somehow I totally forgot I was planning on fighting Bullseye as well 🤦♂️😆. The whole reason I asked for him and all that 😅. This is what I get for filming videos at 10 pm when I’ve been up since 5am 😵💫😴
So first Bullseye, and then finally onto the Spider-verse!
@GetUpandGame he's very different from Kingpin. I think he moves around more, and he's much more focused on trying to damage your Heroes. I think your current team can take him, though!!
I haven't played many of the challenges. It's fun to see how they affected your game. It wasn't a huge impact, but did change your direction once or twice.
@@njh113 that’s good to hear! I think for that one I’m going up just bring Daredevil and Elektra. A very good theme there, and someone else suggested I try 2 handed to see where that falls between Commander and 3 handed so that seems like a good opportunity to try that!
@@njh113 agreed. I really liked having that there and I’m glad I tried it. As you say, it didn’t make a huge impact, but enough to be noticed and I think that’s exactly what I would want out of those. Once I start working my way through the expansions I’m going to employ as many of the ones that come in their expansion as I can. Not sure I’ll be able to pull of the traitor mechanic one though lol

Haha I’m sure I’ll try it at some point! I want to mix it up a lot to keep the videos fresh, but if ima try that it’s going to need to be when I’ve had a great night’s sleep lol
The painted minis definitely enhance the viewing experience. Easier to distinguish than the generic blue. I am also still undecided based on your to play through. They seem relatively balance with one another. I think this new solo mode is 100% better than the previous. I imagine there will be certain scenarios that will be easier/harder in solo. I’m like you in that I prefer just to mentally manage one hand at a time. That’s why I am mainly a true solo marvel, champions player, even though it can be harder. I think I will still favor three Handed for marvel United, but I’m very optimistic about the solo mode.
Very well said! Completely agree on all points. I’m thinking my preferred method of play once it’s all available will be to do exactly what I did with these two plays: one in Commander and one in multi hand. It’s nice to see the scenario from the different perspectives. And while I enjoyed the close tension of the second play, difficulty isn’t the most important thing to me. I mainly spoke about it so much just because I know it’s been a topic of conversation among United fans and I wanted to be sure to address it.
As long as I’m having fun with the gameplay it doesn’t need to be overly challenging 🙂

3-handed and 4-handed. 4-handed is far more challenging
