I miss playing destiny. Staying up for likr 18hrs on the new raid days lol so many good memories that ill not forget. My fellow guardians and i have long moved on from d2 and gaming in general. I would love to play for a few hours with the squad i origanally started with.
What doesn't really make sense to me is how was Savathun's wish was a way to pursue the witness if she made her wish about 4 years before it actually happened? Ik Savathun has crazy plans, but that means she knew she would fail in her gambit to seal the traveler in her throne world. It means that the whole time her wish was a contingency that we would beat her years later in witch queen, fail to stop the witness, and resurrect her to learn the way. Also how did her wish to pursue the witness factor in the curse on the dreaming city?
Savathun used to be a disciple of the witness, she knew their plan. She knew they wanted to open a portal to the traveler’s pale heart. She also knew it required the Veil, which she hid on Neptune, but in hiding it she knew the witness would likely find it. Savathun in witch queen lost her memories when she became a “guardian” and as such was acting in a more blind way, but also she had that initial plan to stop the witness and have things go “her” way, rather than the guardian’s way. She also knew there was a solid chance however that she would be defeated, and as such she made this long winded contingency to ensure that she would still stop the witness, and have some bargaining power on us. Her wish doesn’t factor in at all around the curse, Savathun being as wise and old as she is gives her vast knowledge on the Wish dragons and on how to carve a wish for the wall. The curse is a separate thing from this
I wouldn't doubt that the original developers had a long game in mind. A good example of this is that all throughout the Destiny 2 tower, there are circles on the wall with a triangle inside. The endgame has been staring us in the face since 2016...
That's what I thought this video would be about, since it's not like this (15th wish) is an insanely missable subject atm considering its the whole point of the season
I find it ironically coincidental that the 15th wish gets actually added into the game after they fired like 10% of their employees and their playerbase and it's moral is probably as low as it's been since Forsaken...
idk, i think bungie originally wanted something epic for the 15th wish and once they saw how the community was invested and the 15th wish became the holy grail, then they probably realized they couldn't fulfill everyone's expectations, so they just threw it in the storyline to tie up loose ends. Wishes take forever and are a pain to input so the 15th wish which caused such an invested interested to figure it out turned out to be 4 inputs of newly made-up symbols. Kinda lackluster in my opinion.
@@Kilo_23 I'm pretty critical of Bungie on the whole these days but I'm willing to let that one slide because it's cool enough. It's plausible in-universe for something like that to happen, and if they actually put it in people would have figured it out pretty quickly instead of at the perfect time for the narrative.
The wish descriptions in the triumphs aren't matched up with the actual wishes. When you input them in the wall, the correct description shows up in the feed. Like all of the wishes to stay here forever are the checkpoint wishes. To help a friend in need is for failsafe dialogue. A wish for love and support is drifter dialogue. Nobody ever bothered to fix the triumphs i guess. Edit: actually some of them are doubly wrong lol.
i like how bungie make savathun playing with entire guardian all of times hiding the last wish for a year, now is galaxy pool is biggest mystery remaining i think only mara sov know about it and we probably will see it at episode revenant or episode heresy because probably in episode revenant mara sov will on the move again to deal with scorn
I would LOVE to see the distributary in game one day. I think Bungie is going to blow our minds this year and really deliver. They all know whats at stake now. It is definitely plausible. Crow is there, Mara locates him, Osiris builds the bridge, and to cross it we have to sparrow across it. I don't see a reason why it couldn't happen exactly that way. Add to it I'm sure Bungie knows a portion of the player base wants more sparrow racing, and on the pve side all we've gotten recently was the tiny section of hypernet current & a tiny part in one of the LF campaign missions. Wouldn't surprise me at all if the reason for everyone getting the sparrow upgrade to Always On Time speed was because in order to do this new theoretical section, that speed is necessary too.

People love to look at the past with rose coloured glasses. Destiny 2 is the better now than anytime in History. Can't imagine any PvE players preferring D1 over D2, has to be only PvP players and honestly who cares? Destiny is at its heart all about the Story & Lore.

We got the biggest expansion ever, that had us occupied for weeks and gave us faith into the game, we got 3 raids and the first dungeon in one year, black armoury had the games most creative weapons and the menagerie was loved by all.
A mystery yes. But still not the biggest mystery in Destiny. That little reward goes to the What the actual EFF is the traveller question. We shall find out next year im sure of it but still for this 10 years it had been the penultimate question. What actually is the traveller and are we actually the good guys or are we working for evil incarnate. The last wish was supposed to be something WAAAY cooler imo BUT they scrapped it and decided to bring it back to shut people up. lol
