@Metaphysicist Exactly. The pyramids were the scrapped the idea for D1, and now it's back for D2. I just didn't want Curse of Osiris to be the Vex Void considering the outcome of it, lol.
@ScourgePrimal I first thought that, after playing Season of the Splicer. I suspected that it is the remains of a major plot point that would have been in an expansion.
In the pyramidion strike, there is a gate that I always swore was the entrance to a raid. Very grand and completely unused. I’m willing to put money on it that that gate is linked to this. In the final room before you drop down into the pit.

Really, Destiny just kinda seems to not know what to do with the Vex. They never really show up as a huge major threat on their own nearly as much and always feel like a side threat that does its own thing and randomly pops up. Like when you play Civ and have that one major rival you fight all the time (The Witness) but every now and then a third party just crops up for like half an hour and you have to fight them.

Forge of the Gods cover art looked like a Cabal Colossus so I am guessing it was a DLC/expansion involving the Cabal which eventually became the Red War campaign that started Destiny 2. I don't blame or carry ill will for Bungie having to change plans during development since that does happen quite a bit but you got to admit Rise of Iron was quite an expansion. I mean putting it simply development issues happens along the way and the road map wind up having to be changed quite a bit. It's a reason why road maps and back up plans are needed. Course no longer working alongside Activision didn't help either. In that sense Season of Worthy and Arrivals can be called Darkness Looming.
Its amazing to think the amount of hours we could have if both games where put together to make 1 complete game. As well bring back the campaigns from destiny 2 vault. We would have over 2 days worth of just campaign gamplay or at least near 2 days. It might even be more. Of course it would take a few years to do it and it could cost a lot of storage probably over 120gb but imo it would definitely be worth taking that much storage. It would also deal with the problem of people being lost in the story. Now even thinking about it for a extra second the game could actually be over 150 Gb
I believe that Io was originally supposed to be an expansion of D1 Mars(similar to how the Plaguelands were an expansion to the Cosmodrome), and the Pyramidian was where the raid took place. However that got scrapped and we got Io instead
9:30 Another thing is in the Pyramidion, Asher tells us we should encounter a vast lake, however, where he says that should happen, we encounter the boss. I think the Pyramidion was once going to be something much, much more important... like possibly the actual birthplace of the Vex, or like a terminal or waypoint there, like the VOG
I think mystery is still there, like we are ones trying to solve the literal answer to reality and the universe via vex and Clovis and exo's... The defined in a game engine everything and nothing...

@3:40 That strange cinimatic... I remember seeing this in game before. I don't remember where but I have seen it. Maybe not in it's entirety, but they have used parts of it in game.
The Vex in the cutscene use the models of the Vex from Destiny 1 which are slightly different from Destiny 2 which leads me to believe that the cutscene was intended for Destiny 1.
I imagine most of Vex Void and Forge of Gods planned expansions made it to D2 in some form or another. The Multi Warminds are now in the Battlegrounds, Pyramidion was made into the strike, the propose Vex Raid was most likely Garden of Salavation and the Forge of Gods IMO was split into three different activities, the Red War campaign, The Leviathan Raid and the Black Armory Forges you think this last concept would be way too soon, and I'll point out Halo: ODST and the Legendary Ending of Halo 3. This is pure pulling stuff out of my butt, I think the planet that the Forward Unto Dawn was drifting toward wasn't in fact a planet but the Traveler.
In Destiny 2 there is a line of dialogue mentioning there are multiple Pyramidions throughout the system, this is referencing the Mars Pyramidion from that Crucible map, though It's possible we may see more Pyramidions on other Vex occupied worlds in the future.
I think that was just a way to cover up that Io was actually supposed to be another section of mars though. Much like Ikora saying there is only one Warmind and all the others are subminds, to cover up Charlemagne existing (among others). I firmly believe Bunker JYS-2 (JoYeuSe) on Io (Mars 2.0) housed Charlemagne. In D1s Dust Palace, we learn that Charlemagne was housed there at some point in the past but was relocated somewhere else on Mars to keep him hidden. How we got into Bunker JYS-2 on Io was pretty well hidden. Well, besides the stupidly obvious Warmind bunker exit door on the other side...
I think it would be cool if the Vex began assimilating characters we know and love into villains like the Borg. If they make a vex villain I still want them to be cold in the way the vex are, but you could still make a terrifying villain written that way.
I wonder if Forge Of Gods became TFS or at least a part of it… like with the future Vex Episode perhaps? It all seems very interesting to speculate imo
Vog is one of the greatest raids of all time. And having the mystery of not really knowing everything made it just more iconic. I hope they definitely fix their problems lol
3 PvP maps with a $15 expansion? Really shows you how the priorities of the game have changed. Anyone else miss when additional content was focused on the core game and not generic activities?
With how much content Bungie has needed for these 10 years I doubt most ideas or already made content has simply been garbaged and completely abandoned indefinitely with zero possibility to be used. Even small things like Uldren becoming Crow, like he was in the original supercut story have been reused. The strict delivery models and constantly shifting targets have hamstringed this game so badly for all these years, but the idea IO and something as intriguing as the Pyramidian may never come back if the don't get back to it just sucks.
if you think about it destiny 1 came out in 2014 destiny 2 came out in 2017 thats 3 years in the middle of the 3 years you have expansions coming out and content in general maybe vex void is curse of osiris since its dealing with vex and they probably needed something after d2 campaign
Is my mind playing tricks on me or did Deej say that they had Saturn as the largest playable space they had yet created? I tried and tried to locate a clip of him saying that but couldn't ever find it.
Forge of gods sounds a lot like the siva infested chambers found and used by the fallen to augment the splicers (which are considered divine), so... Rise of Iron?
If Bungie took things from planned (but never released) DLC for D1 and used them in DLC for D2 I commend them for recycling what they could as and when/where they could.
The timeline for vex void and season of the undying actually line up. Bungie had just left activision and said to bear with them while they work on delivering the destiny they wanted. I felt like the inclusion of vex in shadowkeep felt very random, but it makes sense now if it was scrapped from d1, and was remodeled to use during this time.
It just goes to show why you shouldn't waste great concept videos. Maybe we'll see the Forge in the upcoming "episodes", or they may have slowly trickled it in over time. TBH I'd love to see Tau Volantis through the Glassway gate, and why the Vex were on Venus before their arrival during The Collapse. Even if The Final Shape ends the saga between the Witness and Traveler, there are plenty more stories from Destiny's lore still to tell.
With the Vex, I'd honestly say it was a bad idea for Bungie to kill off Quria. The one Vex mind that would've given us so much more trouble wasted in a story mission long gone. As much as it's nice to see Taken, Scorn, Hive, Fallen and Cabal getting story, the Vex just feel so...forced into something. Just become punching bags for all Guardians. Wyverns included in the literal sense of being a punching bag. Hopefully Echos can help the race out in some way. Maybe a Mind that keeps evading us even past the Episode or the return of Quria. Still don't buy that that we killed it THAT easily.
Here's my thoughts, D1, the entire game, was nothing but a working concept, that became realy evident when "House of Wolves" dropped, it was like we stepped backwards, and then things after didnt feel right, and seemed rushed. Take the first part of D1 involving the taken king, and how glitchy it was, especially during the sisters, and lets not forget war priest, I saw more problems in D1 with these parts of that raid, now bring in D2 when they brought this raid back, it seemed more polished, and played how it should, the same way crota felt since they brought it back on d2, although we can all agree that the lanterns could have stayed the same as d1. Now I think going forward with D2, as far as our next expansion goes, I think once we get past the final shape, I think we're going to learn more about the vex then we could have ever imagined, yes there is a lot missing from D1, especially if you got to glitch around in the first parts of D2 vanilla and I think that if we look more into that you'll really see that there was a lot of parts in D1 that looked at a place as well and yes I remember that PvP map in D1 seeing the vex stuff on Mars. And I really remember that cinematic of the vex back in like 2015-2016 I remember seeing that and if I remember correctly I think bungee originally did release it but then they pulled it off of Twitter within like the day but like you said in your video it didn't take long for us to put it up on Reddit and stuff like that before D2 came out because I remember when that cinematic came out I remember me and my friends sitting there watching it and we were like haven't we seen this before and I'm like yeah I was like this was that like a few years ago got to love destiny and their Mandela effect huh. Another thing I remember when we were doing think the season of the Lost and we were going to get Saint when we were doing the whole time travel thing with Osiris there was a lot of things that I kind of remember but I can't I can't and I'm not even sure if it was a seasonal loss I can't even remember what season it was because we've had so many seasons now but I remember one of the things that he was saying about the vex is that basically they've infiltrated every single planet within our solar system or something like that and it makes it seem like every time he would jump or time travel or whatever his different timelines that Osiris would see there was always vex involved and so I think that's one thing that the writers at Bungie kind of were like okay we've gotten too far into the vex and we can't keep the lower up with what we're actually doing and everything else this game is mostly like a bunch of crackheads putting together a game that is almost unplayable, but somehow is playable if that even makes sense. I mean we still have other uncharted destinations like Old Chicago when is that going to come into play oh it won't, what about the shadow when are we going to learn about that or the darkness or whatever they're called Ikora has referenced him quite a few times, or the hidden I think is what she calls them, what about these all Elite guardians are supposedly more Superior than we are, I mean there is a lot of dead content and hidden content that we've had that like old Lord from D1 I mean who has the D1 lore book and has realized a lot of the shit in that lore book didn't even in the lore anymore it's magically been erased. So I think one thing that bungie's gotten away with and nobody's called them out on it is that the game was basically going to be nothing but vex versus everything and they're trying to get away from that and I don't think we should let them. Sorry so long, but this one kinda leaves too much to comment on and leaves too much open gor long winded questions......
Actually watch the "Destiny 2 | The Journey Ahead" Video, they did indeed reuse the old trailers, that have been lost to time. I just saw this rn and then remembered your Video
i can easily see io originally being mars. its the least developed planet and stands out that way. visualy its just green dusty and rocky... like mars but mars is orange dusty and rocky... just adds up.
like some other youtubers have mentioned, the main issue with destiny at this point is that there is no more mystery.. and to me that is one of the main reasons the game will struggle after the witness (no mystery also) even the vex or xivu.. we need a new race in the game, screaming to leave our solar system and explore another.. otherwise the game will actually die this time..
I think it would be cool, for destiny 3 to make us live the golden age and the dark age, the great hunt, the first battles with the hive, the building of the last city, story of dredgen yor and shin malphur...a lot of ideas going through my head
Just a thought. The Vex could be the guardian equivalent from the Veil, in the same way the Traveler created the ghosts and guardians to protect its goals of continuous life and growth (why it terraforms planets), and the Veil created the Vex with radiolaria to protect its goal of a constant never ending pattern, the story of the gardener and the winnower, the traveler and veil used to be connected, at this point they basically confirmed it by hinting at it honestly, the traveler broke away from the veil, that was the "new rule" in the story, the veil is "consciousness" the concept and the Vex are a hivemind/network mind, the traveler is "life" the concept and guardians are never ending life.
I actually believed that the Vex Void dlc is the Curse of Osiris since it is a Vex focused dlc and feels like the Dark Future of Vex was probably related to the "Vex Void" (or so I believe) but like most of the Destiny, it got rebooted and it became Curse of Osiris.

How we got into Bunker JYS-2 on Io was pretty well hidden. Well, besides the stupidly obvious Warmind bunker exit door on the other side...
The potential of this game
Ishtar collective dlc after the riven exotic mission ?
I mean, 11:54 is almost certainly the Glassway, right?
Likely aspects from Forge of the Gods went into the Red War and other cabal based stories in D2.
I think it would be cool if the Vex began assimilating characters we know and love into villains like the Borg.
If they make a vex villain I still want them to be cold in the way the vex are, but you could still make a terrifying villain written that way.
The Forge of GODS. I do believe we did get that as a form of the Forges and the introduction of Ada
i miss hopping on destiny the taking king for the first time and seeing all the amazing new content
The spinal column in the vex is... interesting.
I always thought Forge of Gods became Rise of Iron.
Naw it was suppose to be cabal
I wonder if Forge Of Gods became TFS or at least a part of it… like with the future Vex Episode perhaps?
It all seems very interesting to speculate imo
Pretty sure these lost dlc’s were part of Joe Staten’s original story. Not this mess of a story we have now.
Totally agree.. I always said the story seemed to have changed at some point, for whatever reason. Its like agendas took over
yall act like destinys original story was even remotely good, D1 was trash and so was d2 year 1
@@krit6678 the original was. Then they reworked it and hired a writer to come in and add that story to grimoire cards
@@Coldstone666No you just meatriding it

Vog is one of the greatest raids of all time. And having the mystery of not really knowing everything made it just more iconic. I hope they definitely fix their problems lol
VOD was mystery but never go anywhere because of everything we learn
I’ve always been sure that the location of that Vex structure can be seen in the distance in the citadel, oh wait, you show it XD
3 PvP maps with a $15 expansion? Really shows you how the priorities of the game have changed. Anyone else miss when additional content was focused on the core game and not generic activities?
The picture for forge of the gods looks like a d1 cabal colossus
What could have been…
Forge of gods sounds a lot like the siva infested chambers found and used by the fallen to augment the splicers (which are considered divine), so... Rise of Iron?
We might get trailer after final shape when we deal with the vex😊
If Bungie took things from planned (but never released) DLC for D1 and used them in DLC for D2 I commend them for recycling what they could as and when/where they could.
I still remember waiting for this and being one of the only people to constantly get annoyed at all the other races getting dlc's, just not the vex
Man, I wish we could play this alternate universe Destiny.
Destiny 1 was such a great experience
I have a feeling season of the lost and curse of Osiris was vex void at one point
I was just arguing with a guy about how destiny already tried "episodes" with the dark below and house of wolves
Actually watch the "Destiny 2 | The Journey Ahead" Video, they did indeed reuse the old trailers, that have been lost to time. I just saw this rn and then remembered your Video
Forge of the gods could be the final shape dlc
The fact the vex, arguably the most dangerous race in destiny, doesn’t have a yearly expansion yet 10 years into the game is kinda not ok
I remember people being pissed at bungie because they decided to use a old banger trailer for season of the undying, and i still dont understand why
i can easily see io originally being mars. its the least developed planet and stands out that way. visualy its just green dusty and rocky... like mars but mars is orange dusty and rocky... just adds up.
That leaked cutscene goes so fuckin hard
What I wouldn't give to know what the original Destiny plan was.
I theorize that these are the new episodes or rather that is what they got turned into
Anyone else kinda miss the sarcastic undertone of the Dinkle Bot? 😂
Need to know where they came from, why they are here. There whole back story. Need closure on a lot of things.
They didn’t wanna over deliver
now we know the Witness gone Vex will advance so is it really lost? or we got detour???
like some other youtubers have mentioned, the main issue with destiny at this point is that there is no more mystery.. and to me that is one of the main reasons the game will struggle after the witness (no mystery also) even the vex or xivu.. we need a new race in the game, screaming to leave our solar system and explore another.. otherwise the game will actually die this time..
I think it would be cool, for destiny 3 to make us live the golden age and the dark age, the great hunt, the first battles with the hive, the building of the last city, story of dredgen yor and shin malphur...a lot of ideas going through my head
forge of the gods was likely black armory.
Forge of Gods fits with Black Armory. Although I would say it could fit with the Enclave as well for weapon crafting. Could be either
Hey now, crota was a strike too, let’s not pick on the endless fun that was p.o.e
I miss getting strike(s)
Bungie unintentionally gave us real life lore that Evaze has to decipher 😂
i that was badass intro wooooooooooooooooooooow vex
This alone shows how much of d1 is in d2.
Forge of the god Black Armory?
Make a sword
Needless to say that forge of the gods sounds a lot like what ended up as the black armory
forge of the gods prob became season of the forge
2th
First
well looks like there is the episode content lmao
