Love Jon. Huge fan of him as an actor for a long time. Waking dead, punisher, ming Richard, Ford V Ferrari. Dude does it all. Also a class act in real life and has lots of wisdom. Love this dude.
Dont forser fury
Look to these two men if you want to see empathy in action. Really enjoyed their authentic conversation. I also appreciate how Jon asks “what was that like” or “tell me about that” and then lets his guests tell their story. Powerful stuff!
I'm a retired police officer from London 1981 - 2001 and just like Jerry said when it became personal it became dangerous. It is a professional
job with laws, regulations and standard operating procedures. We're paid to follow those rules, criminals are not and sometimes the guilty will
get away. That doesn't mean you may cheat next time. Just like in the game of poker, it's doomed to end in violence.
P.S. Big fan of Jon's from The Punisher, Hot One's, DD and Walking Dead. In that order.
Hearing this side of the story is so important, thanks for this podcast
I'm turning in to this one first, then I'll get through the rest.
This is an incredible interview Jon. Really are a one of a kind interviewer
Captivating. Great stories. Much love and respect.
This is so the best thing I'veseenin years! Putting two polar opposites coming together telling their story. The obvious differences at the same time many things in common.
Kudos to Jon as a moderator and to whoever edits these! Both guys got a really fair, equal amount of talking time here, I felt, and that's - in principle and in practice - a difficult but crucial thing to do! Great stuff!
This is one of my favorite podcast episodes of all time. This is what it's supposed to be. Jon lets his guests talk. Brining people from different sides of life to essentially agree to disagree but still see each others as humans is remarkable. Being able to recognize the different between the police as an institution versus the individual is critical if we don't want the future of policing to essentially be a civilian military.
One of the best podcasts out rn
Had to make a game out of this episode…every time he says “you know what I’m sayin?” Drink. 🤣
In all seriousness, loving all of these episodes, and all the different walks of life the guests come from. The world needs this podcast. 💗
What a fantastic conversation, we need more like it
So intriguing. This episode has me glued to my phone. Btw, the house is gorgeous with all the stone and woodwork. Really makes this a comfortable place to take this all in. Cheers Jon. 10:14 truth!
Great episode, keep em coming Jon
Great pod, love this jon!!
such an eye opening interview. I hope we can all learn from this conversation. Personally I have and will
1000% can see Jon being an amazing guest on Theo Von's podcast. I hoping that happens somehow. Only a few episodes but it feels like Jon's been doing this his whole life.
Amazing interview. Tho my favorite part was Bam Bam making an unannounced guest appearance on the couch.

UA-cam is making it hard for you. I've subscribed and turned on notifications and never get anything. This pod is never in my feed either. I have to search the name to find new episodes.
People that are banging will tell you do good don't bang be you fr that's truth man
Love ya Frank/Jon☠️
Kinda caught me how the cop was able to see the light and dark side of his group, but the guy in the gang just had excuses.
pretty interesting show as a former fighter who grew up in a poor area I have trained with a lot of police officers and I know some "criminals" lets put it that way and it's interesting the parallels between the 2 that exist
not in the Louisville Metro area
28:59 😍😍😍😍😍😍 pittie just wants some lovin'
Yo when punisher season 3 coming? Need that
Does anyone see Tom cruise, Samuel l Jackson, Ben affleck, Meryl Streep trying to get people like this together? Naw they make too much money and doing something like this would cut in on their spending money time! Bravo Jon
Listen up...ladies...!!! Men need to talk to each other and spend time together and open up...they need other men who understand...they need to decompress they do!!
Is it just me or does Donte look like Darius McCrary? (Eddie Winslow from Family Matters)
Timestamps would be nice
Johnn
Both of you
Big U with hair
Can we get Sean from hot ones on real ones?
Why would you have him on?
Imagine getting handcuffed for having a gram of coke in your center console after a traffic stop for expired tags and as you’re ducking your head into the back of the cop car you see Shane from the Walking Dead writing notes down on a little notepad.
You know wat I'm sayin😂
man I get big love but I grew up in a trailer park in Louisville Kentucky you had to fight hard and you had no you were doing especially being a white boy but they gave me respect..... but I lost my little brother I was one of six I only had him that made me a little brother of four sisters
WAYLON = fire
You know what I’m saying
If life traumas aren't addressed we all can end up making questionable decisions like Bo did!!! I have made bad decisions because I didn't address life traumas!!!!
Comes with the territory you're doing bad shit get bad shit done to you
These kids come from bad situations almost destined to fail
The gangs are all the cops fault. Nice to see at least one side take accountability.
Seee pleass
I’m sorry. TAMS is bomb. 🔥🔥🔥
My son can't even ride his bike on the sidewalk without having his bike flipped over and serial number ran to see if it's stolen. Because he was supposed to be in the street riding. Fuck that
They don't hold the same values one is a cop the other one said he doesn't trust the police. The thing about police is you can meet 3 good ones but on that 4th meeting and you get the one that has something to prove and you have a bad experience. That guy ruined it for the other 3 guys that were good
The crazy thing is they are both saying the same thing bad people in neighborhood bad cops cops killed gangsters killed cops but the cops have rules and gangsters don’t
Gangs are a product of survival. You put groups of disenfranchised minorities together and limit their resources wth do you think will happen? If you've ever read Lord of the Flies or been apart of any society, or comprehend politics, ect. you'd know that tribalism and competition for resources is pretty much every species' nature. America enslaved black ppl for 400 years and they've been trying to pull themselves up by the boot straps ever since. It's a sick system we have and the playing field is far from leveled. I appreciate the constructive discourse. However, the difference in these two gentlemen's stories is one could quit his job, take off the uniform and live a relatively less stressed life. The other was born into a life as narrowly inescapable as the cops he had to run from.
And the cops never find anything. They think they know what's going on because of a few rats, but they have zero idea. Fucking zero. I've known many guys in my small town of 30k that have made millions of the radar. Again, early 2000s.
Coming from someone from the south central WATTS area growing up In the 90’s.
I feel like although the cop is legitimately empathetic and remorseful for the way policing was done during his tenure, he likely downplayed his own involvement in these tactics and separated himself from what was going on. Not discounting his experiences and what he went through, as I also recognize that his life was also constantly in danger.
That dude swear on his kids too much.
