Both reactions were quite justified I feel. Tony lost his parents, the people who truly loved him, thanks to the Winter Soldier, but Bucky didn’t have control of his body and so he didn’t deserve being persecuted either
They both were just in bad positions..... At time of civil war i felt sorry for tony....now i feel the same level of sadness for bucky.... he's been through so much
@Mohd Parvez but bucky is not reason hydra is and however tony got rage issue but see black Panther father was too killed by bucky and still he treated him and kept him in Wakanda
I will never forget the first time he was brainwashed and was forced to forget his childhood friend. Also, you can see the regret in his facial expression
The thing that sends chills down my spine is how throughout the entire thing, Bucky doesn't say a single word except "Ready to comply." This shows how before he got his memories back he was entirely loyal to H.Y.D.R.A. He knew what to do but outright failed to apologize to Iron Man for killing his parents. Thankfully he actually has time to heal during Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Poor Bucky, man, he gets his memories wiped, nearly kills his own best friend, etc. I can't help but feel bad for him lol. Goddamn. Winter Soldier is a fucking badass...
I wish he stayed with hydra Winter Soldier is more badass than regular Bucky and I hope we get a movie focused on Winter Soldier and all of his assassination s/missions he did for Hydra cuz we saw only a little bit in falcon and winter soldier and I want more of Hydra
1. Longing This could be symbolic of Bucky's constant state. He, like Cap, is a man out of time - but it's worse than that. Bucky has been forced to live the life of his greatest enemies, and he regrets it every time his memories start to creep back into his brain. Because of this, he is always longing for the past, wishing to go back to a time before the war and long before he ever became the Winter Soldier. 2. Rusted It's a bit of a stretch, but this could be symbolic of what Bucky would be without Hydra (right down to his metal arm). Were it not for Hydra and the experiments performed on him by Arnim Zola, Bucky would now be around 100 years old. But he's not; at least not physically. Bucky looks to be in his 30s and is in very good shape, and is far from the rusted out relic he should be. 3. Furnace This is one of the hardest activation words to decipher. Could it represent a threat of what Hydra will do to Bucky should he ever defect, by putting him into a furnace rather than his usual cryogenic freezing chamber? Is it a clue as to how his metal arm was forged? Maybe it represents the fire to be free that burns inside of Bucky, one that has to constantly be put out by Hydra lest he escape. 4. Daybreak Daybreak could easily be symbolic of a new life for Bucky. Bucky Barnes, for all intents and purposes, is dead. He died during World War II, but was reborn as the Winter Soldier thanks to Hydra. With this new identity, the character began a new day, a new dawn, and a new beginning. 5. Seventeen The first of three numbers in the sequence, this could be a reference to Bucky's birth year. In the canon comic prequel to Captain America: The First Avenger, Captain America: First Vengeance, Bucky is 13 years old. The story takes place in 1930, meaning he would have been born in 1917. This seems like a rather obvious inclusion compared to the other more ambiguous code words, but hey, Hydra's gotta throw in a few that are easy to remember. 6. Benign Benign basically means something that is not a threat, something that is dormant. In between activations, Bucky is essentially benign. He is cryogenically frozen by Hydra when not out on a mission, which neutralizes any threat he might pose while awake. By including benign in his activation words, Hydra may be reminding Bucky that it's time to wake up and become a threat again. 7. Nine The second number in the sequence probably doesn't have anything to do with Bucky personally, but rather his overlords, Hydra. In Greek mythology, the hydra is a monster that has nine heads. It's said that every time one head is cut off, two more grow in its place, representing the nigh-invincibility of Hydra. Another possibility for nine has to do with Arnim Zola, since he has nine letters in his name. Zola became the de-facto leader of Hydra after the Red Skull's passing, and he also was their lead scientist who designed the Winter Soldier project. 8. Homecoming Most fans believe this word is an Easter egg reference to the next Spider-Man movie, Spider-Man: Homecoming, as the webslinger makes his debut in the film. That's probably accurate as far as the world outside of the film, but within the film Hydra obviously doesn't know anything about Spider-Man movies. For them, homecoming may simply be a reminder to Winter Soldier to return back to headquarters after completing his mission. 9. One The third and final number in the sequence could mean a lot of things. But since Bucky is the first member of the Winter Soldier program, there's a pretty good chance that he was designated number "one" as a result. Subsequent subjects in the program were probably given other numbers (two, three, etc.) as part of their own activation sequences, but Bucky will always be numero uno. 10. Freight Car In his last act before being turned into the Winter Soldier, Bucky falls from the freight car of a train into a freezing river hundreds of feet below. This word seems to be referencing that act, recalling where he was when his old identity perished. So why would Hydra include such a blatant reference to Bucky's past, especially since they don't want him to recall his previous life? Maybe it's to act as a subliminal reminder that he owes them his life. Or maybe they're just sadistic. This is Hydra we're talking about, after all.
For freight car, it could also be to make him think that since Bucky is dead to the world, and it won't care about him, while, although Hydra abuses him, they still think of him so he might as well come back to him. I don't know, just a thought.
To be honest, I don't think the words have to have any specific meanings. I wonder if they're just meant to show a sort of Manchurian Candidate style situation in which a brainwashed person is "activated" by a particular trigger word. Interesting to speculate on what they might mean though. I think seventeen is a reference to his D.O.B too, and actully the display on the museum exhibit on Captain America shown in the movies put is year of birth as 1917, so its not just in the comics. I also think furnace might well be a reference to what HYDRA will do to him if he doesn't comply- or maybe to burning his body if they kill him, and erasing all trace of his existence. Not sure about the other things.
It must be so hurtful and painful, bcz look at him- an assassin who was trained to show no emotions under any circumstances, is screaming and u can see in the "CA: The Winter Soldier" that he was terribly afraid, he was sweating and breathing rapidly and heavily 😫😭💔 babe🥺 this proves again how talented and an amazing actor is Sebastian Stan 👏❤️
@LPDestroyer11 yeah... and that proven that bucky is still strong as he was in winter soldier. many people say he's really nerfed a lot in FATWS, but he actually just holding back.
Interesting to note that in this scene, the guy says «добросердечный» which actually means “good-hearted” and not benign, the actual word translates as «доброкачественный», which Zemo does say when he says the trigger words.
If Stark was traveling unarmed and unguarded through an isolated road, why was the Winter Soldier sent for this? Any normal squad of soldiers would suffice.
Good point but I think I can believe if they have no idea where the blue stuff is? They just activate the Winter Soldier for these missions and he does everything; reconnaicense, planning, pointman and exfiltration all solo in another country.
@@eon5323 that adds to just how op he can be. You can just write up a general mission plan, wake up Winter Soldier and give it to him, and wait for him to complete it. Within reason of course you can’t make the mission “defeat Thanos” and expect him to do it.
Because they needed him to find out where the Super Soldier Serum was. Any normal Spetsnaz commandos wouldn't know where to find the shit or even why they're killing civilians lol
@devanshdas0404 I don't know for sure but I do have a theory its so that nobody would believe Howard if he survived and told the authorities who attacked him, or if it was caught on camera or something. He he said was was attacked by half a dozen Russian special ops soldiers the authorities would be searching for them, but if he said that the assailant was in fact Sergeant James Barnes, a US servicemen who was thought to have died in 1944 nobody would believe it. Natasha said in TWS that The Winter Soldier was a ghost story, and that most did not even know he existed so it might have been the element of secrecy or plausible deniability for the government.
Hydra operated for 60-70 years with the only functioning super soldier in the world (debatable as of TFATWS) and they still held back whilst Peggy Carter was in charge of SHIELD. Though their relief was short lived given the legit Captain America was found not long after.
Man I'm gonna really miss Winter Soldier... they should have kept Bucky with SOME of the WS characteristics... I mean his behavior didn't completely come from brainwashing, his directives did, but the operations of his missions and how he tackled them was still very much Bucky and his years of tactical wisdom and expertise... Bucky from Falcon and WS was completely watered down from the badass he was when he was still Winter Soldier... I think a perfect medium would have been the way Buck was during Infinity War... an ally, but still with the badass Winter Soldier persona in tact... that was the last time Bucky still retained any of the coolness of the Winter Soldier persona.
If only Rocket had that book, he wouldn't have to try to barter for that arm and instead Bucky would take all the stupid with him before fake Steve Rogers got back.
That "good morning soldier" part is actually quite sick when you think about it. He was taken out of cryto- freeze and near enough had to be dragged into that chair by two soldiers where he's immediately tortured and *activated*. Then the handler speaks to him as if he just got out of bed after a nice night's sleep or something.

This winter soldier is just badass

THE FACT THE HIM SAYING “ready to comply” IS THE MOST REPLAYED HAS ME DEAD 💀💀💀💀💀
probably for edits lol
His screams always get me
What we all miss:,, they called him, THE WINTER SOLDIER "
It's because Winter Soldier is a name that secret organizations gave him, but HYDRA called him Active and sometimes, rarely, Soldier
1:19 Bucky defiantly hates Spiderman: Homecoming
The most unbelievable thing about this entire movie was that there was a camera on a post in the middle of nowhere in 1991
Soooooooooooooooo fuuuuuuuuuuuuuny
Eh alternative reality. Already had better tech in ww2 and their present is pretty futuristic
I think it's bucky himself that film the scene as proof that he killed the starks and he retrieve the copy of the super soldier serum
I think bucky knew about the camera because he is an assassin he can come from anywhere, he knows how to hide from world
Scariest villain in the MCU to this date. The winter soldier topped it easily.
Man really tony have no idea how bucky felt to be like someone's puppet for more than 60 year's and when work is done back to freezer
@Mohd Parvez bucky can still not Help what happend
Both reactions were quite justified I feel. Tony lost his parents, the people who truly loved him, thanks to the Winter Soldier, but Bucky didn’t have control of his body and so he didn’t deserve being persecuted either
They both were just in bad positions..... At time of civil war i felt sorry for tony....now i feel the same level of sadness for bucky.... he's been through so much
@Mohd Parvez but bucky is not reason hydra is and however tony got rage issue but see black Panther father was too killed by bucky and still he treated him and kept him in Wakanda
@Mohd Parvez actually zemo killed Black Panther's father not Bucky.
I like how when he goes to free zemo the first thing zemo tries is to control him
Zemo thought he was going to kill him, and in a "desesperated" move, he started reciting the old words.
@Proxima thank god finally someone with a brain. People need to listen lol

He didn't owe Tony anything considering that he had no agency in the matter.

Shows that HE STILL HELD HIMSELF RESPONSIBLE despite all it being involuntary
I wish he stayed with hydra Winter Soldier is more badass than regular Bucky and I hope we get a movie focused on Winter Soldier and all of his assassination s/missions he did for Hydra cuz we saw only a little bit in falcon and winter soldier and I want more of Hydra
@@andrewjollycody729 Bucky is still badass but yeah the winter soldier is still really terrifying
@@jb57551still doesn’t mean he owes it to him
This Winter Soldier would sleep Jon Walker.
I wonder if there's back up words for him, there's a whole book for him.
That is exactly what I was thinking. I thought Zemo was going to activate him but he never did
In the comics he’s got many phrases and commands programmed into him. One of which would incapacitate him immediately.
That's a really chilling opening to a movie
The fact that Sebastian Stan was snubbed of an Emmy nomination this year for The Falcon And The Winter Soldier is a crime against humanity.
Zemo not only has a brilliant mind, but also has brilliant dance moves 🕺🏻
0:58 thats winter soldier words. Im feel sorry about him poor bucky 😢😭
In captain America the first avenger, Bucky was actually at the stark expo.
Now I’m sad
This one of the best openings of any MCU movie.
Howard Stark ' now you're just somebody that I used to know'
Barnes : Punches him to death with his metal arm.
Bucky should read this comment section, He would be so happy
Tony - Why'd you do it?
Bucky - He didnt give me my flying car!!
Cap - it's true, I'm the witness
Tony - wtf are you guys serious? (Facepalms himself)
1. Longing
This could be symbolic of Bucky's constant state.
2. Rusted
It's a bit of a stretch, but this could be symbolic of what Bucky would be without Hydra (right down to his metal arm). Were it not for Hydra and the experiments performed on him by Arnim Zola, Bucky would now be around 100 years old. But he's not; at least not physically. Bucky looks to be in his 30s and is in very good shape, and is far from the rusted out relic he should be.
3. Furnace
This is one of the hardest activation words to decipher.
4. Daybreak
Daybreak could easily be symbolic of a new life for Bucky. Bucky Barnes, for all intents and purposes, is dead. He died during World War II, but was reborn as the Winter Soldier thanks to Hydra. With this new identity, the character began a new day, a new dawn, and a new beginning.
5. Seventeen
The first of three numbers in the sequence, this could be a reference to Bucky's birth year.
6. Benign
Benign basically means something that is not a threat, something that is dormant. In between activations, Bucky is essentially benign. He is cryogenically frozen by Hydra when not out on a mission, which neutralizes any threat he might pose while awake. By including benign in his activation words, Hydra may be reminding Bucky that it's time to wake up and become a threat again.
7. Nine
The second number in the sequence probably doesn't have anything to do with Bucky personally, but rather his overlords, Hydra.
8. Homecoming
Most fans believe this word is an Easter egg reference to the next Spider-Man movie, Spider-Man: Homecoming, as the webslinger makes his debut in the film. That's probably accurate as far as the world outside of the film, but within the film Hydra obviously doesn't know anything about Spider-Man movies. For them, homecoming may simply be a reminder to Winter Soldier to return back to headquarters after completing his mission.
9. One
The third and final number in the sequence could mean a lot of things. But since Bucky is the first member of the Winter Soldier program, there's a pretty good chance that he was designated number "one" as a result. Subsequent subjects in the program were probably given other numbers (two, three, etc.) as part of their own activation sequences, but Bucky will always be numero uno.
10. Freight Car
In his last act before being turned into the Winter Soldier, Bucky falls from the freight car of a train into a freezing river hundreds of feet below.
I'm coming here after the 4th episode of TFATWS after the wakandan scene if these lines by Ayo.
That opening is insane and when we find out more about December 16th 1991, omg its crazy and emotional asf

I feel bad for bucky in FATWS that he had to be winter soldier again
@LPDestroyer11 yeah... and that proven that bucky is still strong as he was in winter soldier. many people say he's really nerfed a lot in FATWS, but he actually just holding back.
1:48 the Winter Soldier theme is so good
Interesting to note that in this scene, the guy says «добросердечный» which actually means “good-hearted” and not benign, the actual word translates as «доброкачественный», which Zemo does say when he says the trigger words.
And that how I activated my android phone~

Calm down. Take a deep breath. Calm your mind. Remember compliance will be rewarded. Are you ready to comply
Normal squad of soldiers might talk later. With winter soldier, you can just wipe him. No witnesses. Not even himself.
@devanshdas0404
I don't know for sure but I do have a theory its so that nobody would believe Howard if he survived and told the authorities who attacked him, or if it was caught on camera or something.

Why do you think so?
That "good morning soldier" part is actually quite sick when you think about it. He was taken out of cryto- freeze and near enough had to be dragged into that chair by two soldiers where he's immediately tortured and *activated*. Then the handler speaks to him as if he just got out of bed after a nice night's sleep or something.
