For all of you wondering why they nerfed winter soldier... The answer is they didn't...this is winter soldier, a completely ruthless assassin he doesn't have any restraints nor emotions.. While Bucky is a tormented man...scorched by his past ..he doesn't want to hurt anyone ..he doesn't want to kill anyone.

I love it when Zemo quickly finds out that he's not fooling Cap by playing innocent("help"). Right when he questions him, Zemo was like "Screw it, might as well tell him my master plan since he's onto me."
That chair box thingy has an electric shock thing, so if he did want to escape, he would’ve been shocked. Since the power was down tho he was able to get out without the shocking mechanism springing.

It's tough seeing Chadwick as T'Challa here and knowing we will never get to see what he would've done with that character. Glad he got his own movie though and hope they find a way to carry on his legacy.
I feel like they should just simply re-cast Black Panther. I know it would probably be insensitive to Chadwick Boseman’s memory and that Black Panther is a mantle not a person and that Shuri will probably inherit it. But I just can’t see the franchise going forward without the character of T’Challa. He’s the main character/protagonist. I feel like there’s a big hole left in the BP series now. Just my opinion.

Had to look like a guy who could compete with Evans as cap + an iron man suit in those first two movies (and he was a main character with real screen time) so Sebastian probably just bulked up more ahead of them to sell that he could physically stand up to them, also the costume change in later stuff could add to it
A man that is shown fully capable of defeating highly trained agents, Avengers, and the Black Panther, and escape a highly dense cell. Shows that he was really ready to cooperate with everyone, Even though he knew he would be able to leave whenever he wanted to, He didn't.
The way I see it, they were on an equal field. Bucky was not using any if his gadgets, so if they had theirs, then they would actually have an advantage over an unarmed man. Bucky just proved that his skill is either above or equal to the skill of many of the Avengers. Black Panther may have gotten a good kick in, but a fight is truly not won until only one is either dead or disabled. That fight is a draw in my book. Just my opinion though. 15 minutes could save you 15% or more on car insurance
I want the alternate-reality version where Bucky plugs his ears with his fingers, hums really loudly, and just waits for Cap to get there and knock Zemo’s ass out. Then the movie ends at like, 30 minutes lol.

I love how Zemo ignites the fight and then just disappears and is not seen while the fighting goes on. Same in Falcon and Winter soldier when he's the reason John Walker, Bucky and Sam and the Wakandians fight and he just slips away while he is the reason they fight. Master manipulator and tactician indeed.
Honestly the confidence and immediate knock down Tony goes through is great. Also a neat show of his out of suit improvement. He was able to not get shot and land a hit or two on the winter soldier before immediately going down in like two hits from the winter soldier.
Bucky and Walker needed a mid-fight moment like 2:07 where they’re both visibly struggling but you hear the wizzing of Buckys arm and he straight overpowers him. Would be best as they struggle to take the shield from one another, Bucky finally willing to put his all in when it’s to take the shield back from a phony Captain America.

Just because he's not The Winter Soldier any more doesn't mean he should have just stopped using his martial arts. Now he just throws wild haymakers and Sam is suddenly a master martial artist (he is in the comics too which is cool but Bucky is still shown better than him) but Bucky is now just a sloppy brawler? And then they show Walker easily ruined by the Dora despite being much bigger and supposedly incredibly trained himself (to the point of accurately using the shield even) but then once he gets the same serum as the Flag Smashers (who Bucky kicks the shit out of the entire series) he seems equal to or slightly stronger than Bucky (even his now vibranium arm when just his old normal metal arm would overpower both of Steve and T'Challa's?) and as good of a combatant despite Bucky having Sam's help? Ridiculous. They need to make him as efficient as he used to be. He remembers ten tonne of locations and names and people and awful events he helped cause but doesn't remember his world class training at all times? Movies aren't grounded in reality at all anymore. I mean, they had Thor and the Hulk, but there's a reason they put them aside for a while during this time. Chances are, after Endgame, we won't get another grounded in reality movie like this unless it's set in the past. Even then, Captain Marvel did that before EG and it still wasn't grounded in reality. It’s kind of a delight seeing RDJ doing hand to hand which he almost never had to do in the MCU. Considering his character had retired for the second time in AoU but he still felt he had the need to step in help save the day with his nano tech glove which at least saved the lives of several people caused he destroyed Buckys gun while also nearly getting shot in the face at 3:12 ( especially cause how he looks like he is thinking this mf really really tried to shoot me in the face)

Bucky is my favorite MCU character period, and I definitely like where he is now, but honestly Civil War Bucky is lowkey the best version. He's the best of both worlds; like the Russos said, he's not 100% Bucky, nor is he 100% Winter Soldier. He's somewhere in-between, and I think that's best exemplified in Civil War.
Zemo pulled a Loki! This is pretty much what Loki did on the helicarrier with the Hulk; set off the nigh-unstoppable killing machine, then sneak away during the carnage. Works every time!
The suit didn’t make him strong, or fast, the suit just encased him in vibranium making him bullet,knife, etc proof. The strength and speed came from the heart shaped herb.

The mind wipe seems to be only temporary, so that he can carry out missions effectively. Normal Bucky can remember everyone he has killed and who he really is once the mind wip wears off, like when he woke up in the garage shortly after this scene 👍

He remembers the victims though, even the ones not part of the mission, and I think that might have been something that was unlocked after the mind control was removed each time. So I'm sure there's an explanation somewhere, but people have asked that after Bucky broke out of his restraints why didn't he just cover his ears? I think what's suppose to be conveyed is once Bucky starts screaming and breaks out of his restraints he's already slipping back into his Winter Soldier self and the concept of plugging his ears isn't even a comprehensive thought anymore.
The fact that Bucky learned to adapt to each and everyone’s fighting style in under a short period of time shows why he was so dangerous. If he remained in Winter Soldier mode he probably would’ve given everyone true hell.

Should have been called The Falcon because Bucky was merely a glorified supporting character. They didn't even bother giving his personal story-line in the show a decent end, yet had a freaking montage about Sam's shitty boat that no one cared about. This was Sam's show period. Bucky's character was tarnished and reduced to a clumsy amateur side-kick. He got more respect in Civil War where he put up a decent fight with foes like BP.
While the remaining Avengers were battling the accused Winter soldier,Ant-man was recruited by Cap and Hawkeye took him after defeating Yellowjacket at his home
Bucky here: Escapes a high security facility, beats Cap, Black Widow, Sharon and slips away from Black Panther, and who knows how many other random guards he either killed or knocked out. Bucky in the series: Struggles against a fake Cap while Sam is helping too.
because he's not a killing machine anymore. He is trying to be a better human being to make up for the monster he's been. Not killing people. And Walker was a super soldier too at that point, fresh off the serum high too.
I imagine Steve saying in this scene, “We are not your enemies, Bucky! Try to think!” like with Thor to the Hulk in the helicarrier rampage scene in the first Avengers movie.
Panther's character is so much more refined in this than latter films. I appreciate that as a ruler, there were lessons he had to learn, but his subdued tone is more becoming of royalty. Especially one whose lineage was still being molded. Sometimes you become king at age 10, and others you don't gain access to the throne until well into your 40's. With african culture we tend to believe in long life. Its with radicals and rebels that you change regimes every 20 minutes, but a good king you want him in place as long as possible. I digress, but I appreciate the pacing of this film against the colorful tones of Loki and whatever is coming down the pipeline for marvel. It feels believable

I hated how Sam made Bucky seem like practice with that stupid line he told Walker in the show "you might want to fight Bucky before you take on the Dora Milaje" i get that these ladies are no joke, but that was a stupid way to illustrate his point. He is basically saying that this killing super soldier machine in his own show is low level compared to well trained Ladies.
I agree with this, Sam's comment was totally unnecessary. Bucky literally beat the crap out of everyone in this scene. He's incredibly strong, and I felt sad that they had to minimize him just to show how strong the dora milaje are...

Bucky in Civil War: Takes on both Cap and Falcon and fucks em up in seconds. Bucky in Falcon and the Winter Soldier: Can barely handle untrained kids. Some of you are saying he was holding back in the show, but I don't buy it. This version of Bucky is fuckin ruthless.
When Steve was around they could let Bucky go full Winter Soldier mode and be an unstoppable beast, now that it’s just Sam, they’ve honestly nerfed the hell out of him so that Sam could keep up...and now that “Captain America” is an air combat type of fighter, it’s just never gunna be the same again. They should honestly let Bucky have his own story/show away from Sam, he has so much more potential on his own, his backstory is top tier, he’s just a far better character then Sam Wilson, in my opinion. Keeping him tethered to the whole “Captain America” storyline is just a waste of potential.
While I respect Marvel's decision to make Sam the new Captain America, I still wished that Bucky got the Shield and became the new Captain America to try to redeem himself from his life as Winter Soldier!

It's tough seeing Chadwick as T'Challa here and knowing we will never get to see what he would've done with that character. Glad he got his own movie though and hope they find a way to carry on his legacy.
Black Panther Will Always Live In Our Hearts
I feel like they should just simply re-cast Black Panther. I know it would probably be insensitive to Chadwick Boseman’s memory and that Black Panther is a mantle not a person and that Shuri will probably inherit it. But I just can’t see the franchise going forward without the character of T’Challa. He’s the main character/protagonist. I feel like there’s a big hole left in the BP series now. Just my opinion.

A man that is shown fully capable of defeating highly trained agents, Avengers, and the Black Panther, and escape a highly dense cell. Shows that he was really ready to cooperate with everyone, Even though he knew he would be able to leave whenever he wanted to, He didn't.
Keep in mind none of the avengers were prepared with their suits and gadgets but still very impressive for one person
To be fair they were all under a disadvantage, None of them had their gadgets or suits but still put up a good fight
If you are nothing without the suit/gadgets, then you shouldn't have them
Maybe the agents and the avengers but he fled after getting kicked by t'challa, he came out on top against Bucky in this fight.
The way I see it, they were on an equal field. Bucky was not using any if his gadgets, so if they had theirs, then they would actually have an advantage over an unarmed man. Bucky just proved that his skill is either above or equal to the skill of many of the Avengers. Black Panther may have gotten a good kick in, but a fight is truly not won until only one is either dead or disabled. That fight is a draw in my book. Just my opinion though. 15 minutes could save you 15% or more on car insurance

Honestly the confidence and immediate knock down Tony goes through is great.
Also a neat show of his out of suit improvement. He was able to not get shot and land a hit or two on the winter soldier before immediately going down in like two hits from the winter soldier.

Bucky and Walker needed a mid-fight moment like 2:07 where they’re both visibly struggling but you hear the wizzing of Buckys arm and he straight overpowers him. Would be best as they struggle to take the shield from one another, Bucky finally willing to put his all in when it’s to take the shield back from a phony Captain America.
100%. I absolutely adore how 99% of the fanbase is united in being at a complete loss as to how they just keep nerfing Bucky. Just because he's not The Winter Soldier any more doesn't mean he should have just stopped using his martial arts. I mean, we saw the guy dodging bullets with butterfly twists and fighting equally with Captain America? Now he just throws wild haymakers and Sam is suddenly a master martial artist (he is in the comics too which is cool but Bucky is still shown better than him) but Bucky is now just a sloppy brawler? And then they show Walker easily ruined by the Dora despite being much bigger and supposedly incredibly trained himself (to the point of accurately using the shield even) but then once he gets the same serum as the Flag Smashers (who Bucky kicks the shit out of the entire series) he seems equal to or slightly stronger than Bucky (even his now vibranium arm when just his old normal metal arm would overpower both of Steve and T'Challa's?) and as good of a combatant despite Bucky having Sam's help? Ridiculous. They need to make him as efficient as he used to be. He remembers ten tonne of locations and names and people and awful events he helped cause but doesn't remember his world class training at all times?

John is a 10 tonner in the comics but he clearly isn't here (every time they're grappling each other they're both using two hands), he more seems to get rage boosts that help him with momentary feats but that seems stretching it considering Bucky destroys every Flag Smasher he comes across in the show, who had the same serum as John? Similarly, as I say, John is written to be whooped by the Dora despite him supposedly being a peak athlete and soldier (trained extensively in using the shield) but then the moment he gets the serum he's skilled enough to take on both Bucky (who should but doesn't have the old Winter Soldier training in him) and Sam (who's now clearly a great martial artist himself, keeping up with Batroc)? I mean, I know Sam is without serum so I like how he gets brushed off easily (it's realistic to how powerful Cap, Bucky and T'Challa are shown as they vault anyone and everyone) but surely that support would be so noticeable if Walker was fighting a Bucky actually using his Winter Soldier training (who matched Cap and out of suit T'Challa)?
And it’s one thing to say about his mental state but there’s reluctance to kill people and then there’s just outright forgetting all of his combat training despite being shown to remember dates and times and locations and people, to languages and events to the letter, but suddenly he’s a worse martial artist than Sam despite previously being Steve and T’Challa’s equal in skill? It makes no sense he’d be such a sloppy brawler when before he was a technical machine, a complete monster (and should still be even without the Winter Soldier programming as he remembers everything else from those days).

It’s kind of a delight seeing RDJ doing hand to hand which he almost never had to do in the MCU. Considering his character had retired for the second time in AoU but he still felt he had the need to step in help save the day with his nano tech glove which at least saved the lives of several people caused he destroyed Buckys gun while also nearly getting shot in the face at 3:12 ( especially cause how he looks like he is thinking this mf really really tried to shoot me in the face)

Bucky is my favorite MCU character period, and I definitely like where he is now, but honestly Civil War Bucky is lowkey the best version. He's the best of both worlds; like the Russos said, he's not 100% Bucky, nor is he 100% Winter Soldier. He's somewhere in-between, and I think that's best exemplified in Civil War.

The mind wipe seems to be only temporary, so that he can carry out missions effectively. Normal Bucky can remember everyone he has killed and who he really is once the mind wip wears off, like when he woke up in the garage shortly after this scene 👍

So I'm sure there's an explanation somewhere, but people have asked that after Bucky broke out of his restraints why didn't he just cover his ears? I think what's suppose to be conveyed is once Bucky starts screaming and breaks out of his restraints he's already slipping back into his Winter Soldier self and the concept of plugging his ears isn't even a comprehensive thought anymore.
The fact that Bucky learned to adapt to each and everyone’s fighting style in under a short period of time shows why he was so dangerous. If he remained in Winter Soldier mode he probably would’ve given everyone true hell.

Should have been called The Falcon because Bucky was merely a glorified supporting character. They didn't even bother giving his personal story-line in the show a decent end, yet had a freaking montage about Sam's shitty boat that no one cared about. This was Sam's show period. Bucky's character was tarnished and reduced to a clumsy amateur side-kick. He got more respect in Civil War where he put up a decent fight with foes like BP.

because he's not a killing machine anymore. He is trying to be a better human being to make up for the monster he's been. Not killing people. And Walker was a super soldier too at that point, fresh off the serum high too.

Panther's character is so much more refined in this than latter films. I appreciate that as a ruler, there were lessons he had to learn, but his subdued tone is more becoming of royalty. Especially one whose lineage was still being molded. Sometimes you become king at age 10, and others you don't gain access to the throne until well into your 40's. With african culture we tend to believe in long life. Its with radicals and rebels that you change regimes every 20 minutes, but a good king you want him in place as long as possible. I digress, but I appreciate the pacing of this film against the colorful tones of Loki and whatever is coming down the pipeline for marvel. It feels believable

I hated how Sam made Bucky seem like practice with that stupid line he told Walker in the show "you might want to fight Bucky before you take on the Dora Milaje" i get that these ladies are no joke, but that was a stupid way to illustrate his point. He is basically saying that this killing super soldier machine in his own show is low level compared to well trained Ladies.
I agree with this, Sam's comment was totally unnecessary. Bucky literally beat the crap out of everyone in this scene. He's incredibly strong, and I felt sad that they had to minimize him just to show how strong the dora milaje are...

Did you not see how he handled oh I don't know.... Knives for example? I love the Wakandans and the royal guard are super cool so don't get me wrong. The writing in this show suffered time to time. This line was stupid.

Some of you are saying he was holding back in the show, but I don't buy it. This version of Bucky is fuckin ruthless.
When Steve was around they could let Bucky go full Winter Soldier mode and be an unstoppable beast, now that it’s just Sam, they’ve honestly nerfed the hell out of him so that Sam could keep up...and now that “Captain America” is an air combat type of fighter, it’s just never gunna be the same again.
They should honestly let Bucky have his own story/show away from Sam, he has so much more potential on his own, his backstory is top tier, he’s just a far better character then Sam Wilson, in my opinion. Keeping him tethered to the whole “Captain America” storyline is just a waste of potential.
While I respect Marvel's decision to make Sam the new Captain America, I still wished that Bucky got the Shield and became the new Captain America to try to redeem himself from his life as Winter Soldier!
@@PedroLucas-mg5je I disagree. Putting that mantle on him when he was clearly able to be mentally unstable would've been a setup for failure. Look how bad walker failed and he had all the support in the world. I can only imagine all the red tape and hoops that were involved with pardoning the winter soldier. They couldn't have rebranded him as captain America. Give the guy some time. Steve was giving him a gift by not giving him the shield. However Sam was clearly meant to be the new cap Bc captain America has custody of Bucky and Bucky was not going anywhere with walker.
