🎙 DJI Mic 2 amzn.to/3SADyhb 🎙 DJI Mic amzn.to/3SADyhb Note: The "Low Cut" filter on the DJI Mic 2 was on by default and I didn't catch that until after filming 🤦🏽♂ Which is why it doesn't sound as full or rich as the DJI Mic in this video. My bad! The DJI Mic 2 genuinely sounds better then DJI Mic when you compare them with the same settings.
This review talks about things I haven’t seen in literally any other… If you’re considering buying the mic 2, this video covers everything you need to know!
You know it! It has a mic port for a mic cable and it has a USB-C connection. Not sure if you could use the receiver as an external recorder but you can plug in a lav mic into the transmitter and it will record internal 32-bit Float by itself. So you could use this for weddings by recording internally while also recording synced audio to your camera and monitoring levels.
Thank you for this review! Read a bunch and watched some other videos, but they were missing what I needed to hear. I'm super expressive in my videos so the Mic 2 makes all the sense!
Thanks for the review. Upgraded mine to 2 mainly because of the digital hotshoe compatibility with my sony camera. I tried asking a 3D printing guy to make it work for mic 1… but the 32bit float on the mic 2 basically just got me to sell my 1 and get the 2!
It sounds better because I accidentally forgot to turn off the "Low Pass" filter on the DJI Mic 2 (it comes from the factory like that). With the low pass filter off the DJI Mic 2 sounds as good if not better to the DJI Mic
@@itsmarklamesa If you just bought the DJI Mic and you like it then I would hold on to it. It's more affordable. If you think you could sell it thought and would appreciate the new features of the DJI Mic 2, it's a really great mic!
That's because I didn't realize the low pass filter was "On" the for the DJI Mic 2 which makes it sound less rich and full. Without that filter on the DJI Mic 2 sounds as good if not better then the original DJI Mic
I noticed there's no place to put the attachment place holder when the USB-C or Lightning adapters are attached. DJI should include Mobile Phone pre-sets, not just camera.
@@austinbrady I’ve watched a bunch of reviews and comparisons on them and I’m really struggling to understand how and why the majority of reviewers lean towards the mic 2 sounding better. To me the mic 1 sounds clearer and more detailed by far, or are my ears just retarded?
@@Benny__4x4 It's not you. The Mic 2 comes out of the box with the "low cut" setting turned on so most reviewers miss that. I know I did on this video. It makes the audio sound muffled. If you turn that off it sounds much better. If you watch my video comparing the DJI Mic 2 and the Rode Wireless PRO you can get a better idea of the DJI Mic 2 quality.

Solid move using a short to get me here. 😂 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Haha you know it 🫡
When that deep green light switches to yellow, that's when the smart noise cancellation kicks in, at least that's what I've heard.
It's a light green or a yellow/green.
Great review. The comparison of 32 bit to raw photos is on point and showing the difference makes me want to upgrade.
Thank you! Would totally recommend

Appreciate the feedback and support bro 😎
Great work on this review! I feel like you saved everyone the time of researching or even watching another UA-cam review. Thanks guys! 👍🏻
Thank you! Tobias and I really appreciate that 👏🏼
32 bit float is a huge selling point. Does it have a line in to use as an external recorder?

Is it just me or dji mic 1 sounds better?

Great video but It's another video that shows me that 1st one sounds actually better than the second one, a bummer

I would just put it in the case and close it. I would also like mobile phone presets but I'm not sure how different that would be
@@austinbrady I use +6 on both the Transmitter & Receiver on the Dji Mic 1 for iPhone and +6 or +7 for the Mic 2.
Amazing review. Great job. Thanks for the quality content. Just subscribed
Thanks for the sub!
I’m considering getting the mic 2 for live streaming. I don’t need to record when it’s live, right?
I'm not sure. But assuming that it's connected to your computer and software as a mic source then it should work!
Great comparison dude! Really helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the review! I'm guessing you're in Utah County. That looks a lot like Provo Canyon, behind you.
You bet! Not quite but close. Another Utah boy for sure 👍🏼
8:24 the car coming was intenseeee HAHAAH
Right?!
I am looking to buy dji mic for vlogging purpose for my iPhone 15 pro max.
Can any one please advise which model is good mic in dji
I would get the DJI Mic 2. Here is a link... amzn.to/3SADyhb
was the low pass on?
Yeah if you look at the pinned comment I explained what happened 😂 Unfortunately it happened to a few other review channels too
They made DJI mic1 thinking of the DJI mic2
They really did
Excellent video!
Glad you liked it!
Thanks for doing this review
No problem!
Im wedding videographer and which one is better for me for couple interview ..?
Rode 👍🏼
@@austinbrady and also i use with my smartphone..? Which one is best dji 1 or 2 vs rode if rode then which rode one go2 or rode pro ...??

To me, the biggest selling point on the new version is the Bluetooth
The new case is ugly af tho
