‘Just spotted your latest wallpaper on Gumroad! I picked up your previous one featuring the Iceland Skogafoss and Color Way 02, and it was amazing. Excited to grab this new one too. Keep doing what you do best!’ And I appreciated the comparison between the Rode Wireless and DJI Mic 2 in the video. It really helped me understand the differences and make a more informed decision. Thanks for the insight!
You didn't say your favorit in the end haha. Which one you would recommend for me? I recorded lectures of my self talking for about 1-2 hour long. Using the camera wireless with the transmiter. But I also record small length videos for UA-cam and Instagram. I appreciate your recommendation
If you want ease-of-use then I would get the DJI Mic 2. I personally like the sound of the Rode better though so if you don't mind a little more set up then get that one.
I'm in doubt between the DJI MIC 2 and the RODE WIRELESS GO II. In terms of functionality, the DJI MIC 2 is definitely better. But in terms of audio quality, which do you consider better between the two?
@@austinbrady The Rode Wireless Pro is a little out of budget. The advantage of the Go II and DJI Mic 2 is that they sell 1 receiver and 1 transmitter. That's why I'm deciding between the two.
Speaking of the 32-bit float, as a scooter rider with wind clipping all my audio that's where I get to recover clipping sound ain't that right? anyways I record primarily on my Iphone, which one would u recommend from the two? & detailed reasons why.
@@austinbrady Thanks for the video. I went for the Rode, it's coming tomorrow, I'll be reviewing it too from a action shooter perspective. Have a nice day.
Thank you for this insightful video… I really appreciate you taking the time to make this possible… I’ve been working in the TV industry for over 25 years, and it’s remarkable that for the past 50 years there haven’t been any new inventions in any area of our daily lives, only optimization procedures. Yet, they still sell it to us as innovation. Technically, microphones have been at their limit for a long time, and their quality also depends on the individual voice-whether my voice is present or bass-heavy, etc. This is an argument that, in my opinion, has been missing from all such discussions so far. It’s important because the products themselves are designed for this among other things. What annoys me is the price for something neither of them invented, and we don’t even realize that it’s just a pure illusion of something that I can now compensate well in post-processing with AI. $400 and up, what a rip-off 💁♀️ They profit from such videos on YT. By the way, Sony already improved their consumer products in the 1980s by listening to their buyers, and today it’s such videos that drive sales. So, there has been no better or worse in that sense for a long time. Claiming in 2024 that Adidas running shoes are better than Nike’s is like claiming the same thing. ✌🏾
I would agree that some products that have been "upgraded" aren't as innovative as they are marketed to be. When it comes to these wireless microphones I would disagree with your assement that they are a "rip-off". Both are very impressive for their price point and personally I've loved using them to capture high quality audio. That's a huge part of my daily work and so it's worth it. For you it may not be and that's okay.

DJI Mic 2 amzn.to/44CIZlf
Need a new wallpaper? austinbrady.gumroad.com/
DJI sounds more natural, flat, flexible.
Rode sounds like there's some EQ magic there, I'd rather do that in post though.
Team DJI here.
Good to know!
Got some interviews lined up and I was on the fence about which to go for. Thanks for pointing me towards DJI - your recommendations is a lifesaver!
Glad I could help!

Awesome, thank you! I appreciate the support.
The DJI Mic 2 looks really nice for UA-cam!
It would be great for UA-cam!

Team RODE here!
Nice 👍🏼
Gotta love a good wireless mic comparison.
True
I just returned my dji mic2 and ordered the rode 😏
Very cool
Thanks for sharing!
You bet!
Amazing video!
Glad you think so!

If you are okay with more setup the Rode has better audio quality.
@@austinbrady even the older rode wireless go ii? That’s good to know.
@@ferraz916 No. I would get the Rode Wireless Pro 👍🏼

Is it true that Google won’t allow app access with DJI due to privacy concerns? DJI has access to all your phone data?
No idea. That's a good question!

Exactly. I would probably get the DJI Mic 2 because it's easier to work with for an iPhone.
@@austinbrady But, it sounds muffled compared to the Rode plus, Rode has better value - 2 $100 lav mics for free.
@@Sir-Kay That's true! Having the lav mic can be really nice when you're riding a scooter. It's up to you.

Great choice, I initially went for the dji mic2 but I returned it after I tried my friends rode.

I’ve been a DJI boy for a long time - but this makes me pause and consider rode.
Both are so nice!
I feel like I'd prefer the DJI cause it seems easier to use
These are facts. Although the Rode does pack a punch too!
Rode sounds significantly better. DJI sounds muffled.
