I referenced your channel in a university project about useful pages to learn English. I just love the way you produce your videos and how you put everything in context. Nice work!!!
SPEAK is the only way one can start saying anything. Not a channel, nor anyone else can inspire you to speak the language. Despite living in UK I (subconsciously) try avoid speaking English. I work with the same language people, I use simple English phases in a shop or whenever I need. SimpleEnglish realy helps in everyday conversations. Thanks Vicky for pushing us, stubborn ones, we promise to remember what you are saying and try to use tht in daily conversation (the hardest part)
Oh, you're so right, Lindsay. 10 years ago a lot of my job was about finding and then directing my students to good study materials. They weren't always easy to find and for many years I wrote text books, so I was creating the materials too. These days it's easy to find answers to all your English learning questions if you google the right things. It's wonderful that learning English has become accessible for so many more students.
This video is really great!!! Thanks to you, Vicky and Jay I found out about Graig's wonderful site!!! So now we ESL teachers and learners have got a lot of resources for learning English! Thank you for all your work and PLEASE keep going!!!
How amazing you are! you are bloody helpful... And to be honest I really have a series problem in speaking because I can't find sb to speak with, but I'll try to speak with myself as you said. Thank you so mush
Thank you for the answer. Yes, I have a mobile and an iPad also.I saw that I could download apps. I am not an expert in this you can see from my question. I heard so many times this app but I believed that I can buy it once I will find sb who will do for me. Thanks a lot to both of you.
One method we often suggest, Satyam, is to watch movies with accents you'd like to duplicate. If you can watch it on something like Netflix for example, you can pause the movie, repeat the words you've heard. Rewind the movie 10 seconds, and repeat the process over and over until you match the accent the actors are using. Try it. See if it helps.
I love English. Sometimes I think it's so difficult because I am 59 years old, but I can listen, read, and speak a little in English. In this year I'll be fluent if God permit me. Please ! Give answer about my mistake. Thanks!
I don't think so, Amany. Perhaps there's a Shakespeare festival somewhere though. Nobody really knows the date of Shakespeare's birth, but it's generally celebrated on April 23rd each year - and that's come to be known as Shakespeare's Day.
It's hard for me to learn English in middle East cause I have a lot of Arab friends and we all speak Arabic every time I have developed my writing skills & reading & listening but my problem is speaking I don't have anyone to speak with in English Do u have any advice for me Please
Ah yes, it can be hard to find people to practise with. Have you seen our video on how to think in English and the one with 26 ways to practice for free? Perhaps they will give you some ideas.
Thank you. You're awesome. You always have new interesting and useful topics that help us learn English pretty well. I recommend an app that is great. It's called "Hello Talk" You can speak in your own language to somebody or you can improve the language you're learning with a native speaker. It's sponsored. You'll love it. I've been growing up learning this beautiful language.
I don't understand well the joke that you do. See if I understand right, please. Why don't you got a tea around the door? You could though some people use cups! Honestly it was what I could got...
The joke is pretty silly and it plays on two different uses of the phrase "out of". Out of doors = outside, not in a building. "Out of cups" = from cups (not bottles, glasses etc. The joke goes "Why can't we have tea out of doors?" "I don't know. Why can't we have tea out of doors?" "We could, but most people use cups". Hope that helps Paulo.

Could you please tell me how to work on my ascent?

I'm putting labels on things in my house, so I can remember words. I'm afraid that when my relatives come, they will say I'm crazy.
Ha! Yeah, that's a risk Math Corner.
Playing text-heavy story-driven video games also helps.
Great idea Rafal! Playing computer games can be a great way to meet new people.
