i blame the consumer, if true fans of the kicks lined up and put in effort to purchase the shoes then they deserve it, but if theyre willing to feed resellers thousands of dollars then real fans suffer,

I would only wear shoes that have hype around them if I like the way they look and feel. They have to be clean too.

Why are all these old people trying to make it seem like younger people are uninformed and oblivious to the culture or how special a shoes is? If someone wants to buy a pair of off white prestos just because they look good, then good for them. They don’t have to know every little thing about virgil to be able to buy them. I think that you guys are thinking way to hard about the reasoning behind people buying shoes rather than being happy that there is still appreciation for them.
People aren’t appreciating a shoe if they only get it because it looks nice. It’s like liking a song but not knowing about the artist. By knowing you have a deeper understanding of the sneaker and can truly appreciate it.

It's why I got into customizing, so I could rock a pair that would fit my feet better than a dude's sneaker would, but might also incorporate some other colors of the spectrum!

Shoe market is ruled by resellers. No resell value shoe sit. No matter is it good or great. Last example is John Elliott Lebron. An amazing shoe sits in stores. Ambush nike sits in stores. NYC/Paris sits in stores. I walked to a Nike store in New York and bought FOG raids no lines no hype. It is IMO one of 3 best shoes released in 2019 so far and the fact resell value suck doesn't change it.
