Hey man congrats on how far you have come. You REALLY deserve it with the work you put in. Some unsolicited advice from my side regarding the upload schedule: Dont be afraid to miss dates. 99% of viewers dont generally care if something is delayed or changes, they get free (amazing in your case, mediocre in my case lol) content, they are happy to get anything you put time, effort, love and passion into. So not uploading 5 months and then coming with a passion project video wont be something most are bothered by. Your viewers will love your content regardless! So make sure to do your thing and do it with a smile! Ill be there to watch regardless! Plus. The UA-cam algorithm is really hard to please, even with a consistent schedule, so to avoid burnout I wouldnt even try it, I certainly let that go years ago if I didnt want to make “TOP 5 CRAZY LORE FACTS” videos
As someone who is also a university student, trying to keep up with consistent videos is an ABSOLUTE nightmare 😅 The most important thing is to pace yourself and just try to have fun! Looking forward to your future content as it is always enjoyable to watch!!!
Thank you for this update and for the care you put into your videos (I'll watch them all eventually)! I'm glad I found this channel. It's always great when interesting & obscure Elder Scrolls lore is talked about! Good luck with university. I wish you the best 💜
Just wanted to add for the hell of it, 1 video + 1 short every month IS alot, Especially as a non-professional. Dont let other channels give you toxic expectations for yourself, your format of videos requires alot more deliberation and effort than others. Good luck with your future and your channel's future, and dont let the latter get in the way of the former.
I really appreciate that, thank you. I do genuinely want to work harder on this channel though, I've honestly been procrastinating to a degree and I want to really make better efforts going forward, not just in regards to UA-cam. I'll do my best from here on out ;)
I agree with this to an extent, making even one video is hard but I also think with how YT is, it would be better for yourself to 'get more clicks' but I agree that the priority is to grow as a person and not let it become a hateful, depressing thing just cause other people do. And I could name several channels that went too big and lost their quality. One I have in mind, they started with two channels, which quickly ballooned to six, then ten and so on. I genuinely have no idea how many channels this person has but there was a distinct cutoff point around two years ago. I can't even watch any of their channels anymore because it's a bunch of phoned in "meh"-ness. I hope there is a way to find a middle ground between the two extreme ends.
Well said, I didnt realize when I started just how many different skill sets and how many hours upon hours of work it would take. That said, I've really enjoyed watching your channel grow and your process evolve! I think the best advice I've received is, release a video when it's ready, over an arbitrary schedule. it's much better for the video and the creator to not feel the need to force it and get really stressed out over deadlines. Keep up the great work, I cant wait to see what you have coming for 2024!
Sorry to post again but I wanted to mention that your "forgotten gods" video was a banger. Let that, and the 'obscure bestiary' episodes serve as a perfect example of the kind of content I liked most! I bet other viewers agree, if not then please post with your favourites and discuss😊
Hey :) i don't think we have interacted that much directly so I appreciate you doing an update video. I found this channel because I wanted to tap into the huge world of TES lore/world building stuff. This was several weeks after I had grown frustrated with the lore channels that always come up top in search results. I can only watch so many 'top 5 creepiest locations in skyrim" videos cause I've been to them all during my own investigations. Plus some of them use that really stilted, amused voice that sounds like a depressed gameshow host, or they force these little laughs in when starting a sentence. It feels very false and sucks me out of the immersion, which is a shame. This is why this channel is such a good idea. There is so much background for TES, im not sure the main fan community truly realises its extent. Tl;dr I think everyone here is here because they value deeper dives into surprisingly complex world of TES, and we support you setting a pace that lets you continue your other passions and hobbies. Not a big viewer of shorts but I realise they're youtubes latest and greatest scheme, as such they kinda have to be made
Thank you! I deeply appreciate the understanding and support. I like shorts because some interesting topics are just, well, really short and don't warrant an entire video to talk about (and they're much easier to make lol), but if it's something people aren't especially a fan of I was thinking of dropping it and instead combining a bunch of them into a single video, something like "elder scrolls facts you never knew" or something like that.
I got here from Master Neloth! Love your Videos!

Thanks again bro, I really appreciate that coming from you, and the advice. And don't say your videos are mediocre because they are absolutely not!

Excited for the 2024 content! Good luck at university. Appreciate the effort that goes into it thank you!
You've got a really good thing going here, man. I really love how you have a genuine respect for the writing and lore of the Elder Scrolls.

Thank you dude, I really appreciate that. I've really liked seeing your channel grow and improve as well. Best of luck to both of us :)
