Hello Sir. I am a truck driver and I always watch your videos. Thank you for your support and letting people know about key points about trucks. We are slow and most of the time heavy. The only thing we ask for is a little patience. Thank you Randy
I have been driving tractor trailers since 1986 and I really appreciate all the kind words you're expressing about us truck drivers.. We appreciate it a lot. I hate automatic transmissions in big trucks. I love manual transmissions like you do. Unfortunately most companies are going to the automatic transmissions because they can attract more drivers with them.
Thank you for your comments about truck drivers, Randy! My husband drives for Frito Lay and complained all the time about the 4-wheelers and how they drive, especially around Chicago.
As a truck driver, I appreciate you saying about the truckers. I'm a fan of your show. We as drivers, for the most part do try to be safe. There are some, that are ignorant and don't have the experience and don't pay attention. I've been driving for over 25 years. A lot has changed. But people don't realize that if we wreck over other's stupidity, People DIE! #80000 lbs don't stop on a dime! Thank You and keep up the good work!
The back part of the truck is called the Sleeper berth. Other then that Amen Randy. The reason we can be agressive is because of the crap we have to deal with from other drivers. I am a truck driver and no one ever lets us merge. Some times it takes a hour to merge

Sorry about these comments, man. I appreciate what you do. I get it. You need a break, but you want to keep your channel going renewing some old content completely makes sense.
Cabovers are the flat fronted trucks Randy. The cab of the truck sits over the engine, thus cabover. This particular truck is called a "conventional" truck. What you're trying to describe is the "sleeper" portion of a semi. Not all trucks have sleepers. This sleeper is nice, in that the driver can stand up in it. When I first started driving, I drove a cabover, and the sleeper portion I had to hunch over to get into. My first conventional truck also had a sleeper that you sort of hunched over and slid into it. Cabovers were made for city deliveries, as the steering radius is much shorter than that for a conventional truck. The conventional was and is the favorite for OTR (over the road) drivers. The ride is much smoother, and the living area is much bigger.
Respect randy them truck drivers for sure do go far out and get the economy moving and job done and do it all again man, thinking about it right now randy, bet it get really lonely at times man driving around the globe 🌍 long roada in the middle of nowhere for hrs or days at times✨🤔💫 thanks for the video man!. ,✨💫✨👍👍

Iirc a "cab over" is the flat front semis, because the the cab is over the engine. The back that you're in is a sleeper cab, a unit with a living space. A cab over can also have a sleeper cab.
Its definitely an old walk-around, if you seen the black TRX in the background at the start of the video he use to have that probably a few years ago lol
I’d love to see more semi walk arounds. The bunk/sleeper is the bed area. A flat front semi that you sit over the wheels is a cab over. I used to run heavy haul over size loads around Minneapolis, miss the trucks but not the traffic 😂

The red International is a conventional. Cabovers are quite rare except for various utility and delivery trucks like trash trucks and the little tiny delivery trucks. Omnitrax is a system to communicate with dispatch and safety. You receive loads, orders, and other instructions and can communicate problems or other information back to them. Newer models often allow you to fill out logs and inspection form on them. Satellite communication, so it's rare not to be able to communicate. PDL stands for Power Differential Lock. Normally, only power is put to the second axle on the tractor. Locking in the PDL puts power to the third axle as well--very useful for uneven terrain, such as going offroad. Trucks go offroad quite a bit, even one like this. The Air Dump deflates the air suspension in the back. This eliminates a lot of bouncing and bumping when unhooking from a trailer. Put the landing gear down, pull the release for the fifth wheel, dump the air, and when the suspension deflates all the way, pull out. Fifth wheel slide allows you to move the fifth wheel on the frame. Doing so allows a truck to redistribute the weight on each axle. We call the small generators APUs.
Randy I think that is a very easy fix for a frame shop all you need to do is take off all of the front end parts and maybe remove the motor but you need to talk to the guys at the frame shop and ask them just how much you need to remove then you can load it up on your trailer and take it to them and when they are done with it all you need to do is pick it up and put it back together and then you can drive it to your heart's content a good frame shop probably will change you maby 3 to 600 dollars to fix the frame rail because I don't think that it's not as bad as you think it is from what I saw on your videos it just doesn't look that bad period Charlie kretschmar Phoenix Arizona
