Yea I’m pretty sure it’s the church. It has to be. The head of the church seems to be good friends with vought. Which is why they can so confidently say that they will get them back into the seven because they have power.
John Noble's character is a father that puts his older and stronger son over his younger and more sentimental son. He's even the cause of the younger son death. Sounds familiar.
I'd say Homelander's weakness is his son. Not only does he care about him (In his own terrible way) but also Ryan has the potential to be as powerful as him. Which makes me feel uncomfortable now that Stormfront knows about him. It doesn't help that she's manipulating Homelander either. Hopefully she doesn't do the same to Ryan & get him caught up in this war. Poor Becca. Yes it was wrong to lie but it's all scary for her. Look at it from her POV Vought has her trapped. Her abuser is now back & has the potential to ruin her son. Having her son see the open world in the movies would be terrifying because he'd probably end up looking up to the Seven. Seeing Homelander most likely brought back terrible memories. Someone help Becca pls.
Eric proving again that hes the only who thinks through stuff like cindy doing it would make no sense since she hates vought and even if she did kill raynor why would she do this which helps keep vought's controversy a secret also if it is cindy thn she would target stormfront first lol.
Eric must've been spoiled for him to rebuttal against it not being Cindy at this point. He even had plot holes ion his reasoning when trying to argue about it at the end of the episode. Simply not enough info to combat it. It makes perfect sense for it to be Cindy. At this point in time we had no proof that super abled people at the level of stormfront and homelander can even have the heads popped. It perfect sense "Cindy" went for the people who's actually had ties to that camp, that being vouglbaum or however you say his last name. Then Just popping heads because she was pissed.
@@aziivo5012 i am currently on this episode and to me, it makes absolutely zero fucking sense to be Cindy. What Vought was like, hey Cindy we know you hate us and we know you hate being in this prison but we need you for a job, we need you to kill this CIA lady who knows too much about us and in return we will put you back in prison even though you hate it. She escapes and kills anyone related to Vought, and then Vought finds her again and they are like, hey Cindy, us again, we know you hate us but we need you for another job and we will probably put you back in prison when this is done and she just rolls with it? C'mon dude.... Also, we've seen her try to hurt Stormfront, but she didn't have enough time, so it makes no sense for her to not try it again now that she isn't being attacked.
@@lukakrsul3963 Yes, but inn Cindy's case she hates everyone involved with Vought, which she killed a handful of supes. It would makes sense if she wanted to get her get back. They did have a leash On her so it's plausible. Never saw her again after That hitchhike scene, so they made you think it was her.
I'm 99% sure it's some Ant-Man style Supe that climbs into people's ears/nose, expands and shrinks down again before being seen or has enough strength to blow up their heads from the inside. Remember how the CIA-lady's nose started bleeding before her head exploded?
Giancarlo Esposito's Genie in Once Upon A Time was the most I've seen him as powerless tool. It was odd but who wouldn't do anything Lana Parilla said.
I like the theme of family in this episode. Butcher and Homelander both hand messed up father figures who tried to prepare them for harsh realities of the world. But end up making things worse.
Yeah, seems like the lights in the room didn’t give off power, but the emergency light did. They probably assume their security is high enough that something like this wouldn’t happen while they were keeping a supe with power that requires light or energy.
@@Vipre- Who knows what they planned to use this room for. If a Vought employee starts to interrogate whoever is in that room you would probably want the Vought people to know that they need to evacuate.
first they made the rooms, later someone else had to redesign one of those room specifically for Starlight. He probably didn't thought about emergency alarms.
I have a small feeling becca might die in finale or get separated from ryan for too long. Stormfront keeps saying that he (ryan) will still have "a mother". Becca might get killed/ separated and SF will try to push motherly bond onto ryan. Ryan either will fight back or fall for it.
this makes sense. it would be interesting if it was up to butcher and possibly the rest of the boys to save ryan from becoming another homelander if becca does end up dying.
I guess he will be manipulated by them for a while but, at some point, Ryan might figured out and understand why Becca did what she did for him. If this happens, then Ryan could use his rage and fight back. And if this happens, I dont think that Homelander would kill his own son. But I guess all that is a plot to the third season
@ARC-5555 'Fives' If it was Edgar, he'd have killed Maeve too, I can't imagine he's not aware of what she did to Black Noir. The fact that only A-Train replacement was targeted really makes me think it's the church too!
The church has to be important to the overall plot or be setting up next season's plot. If it isn't, why are we wasting our time with them? If they are important to this season than yes I agree, they are behind the implosion guy.
I like how Rick has never heard of a contact allergy, I knew people who had minor problems if it was just in the room with them. For a super hero weakness I think it’s amazing
There are a few unexplained powers/details that I feel will be brought to a reveal at some point: - That weird fly buzzing around in season 1 - The head popping (Cindy seems like red herring) - Whatever happened to MM's dad
@@yahhah3027 they will show it, just like how they foreshadowingly told it in season 1 and show it in second 2 about how frenchie keeps abandoning his task/order and about him and lamplighter. Soo the writers will do the same with MM's dad.

I’m positive Black Noir is not dead. She kicked his epipen away but he could still get it and we know that Edgar watches through the camera on his mask. He probably got helped after Starlight got out.
I mean who is to say she didn’t get locked up after she blew Reiner up. Or she escaped then got caught again. I don’t think her being is jail is enough evidence against her since we don’t know for sure where she was. I didn’t think it was her because I saw no reason why she would do it unless she was ordered, and she didn’t seem to be a part of any team
It's not a dumb theory at all. We had no proof of anything at that point in time. They were experimental subjects who most likely get trails for testing powers. Cindy is under Vought's control and all fingers point to her when having the big reveal for her powers.
The court scene kinda cemented to me that Cindy was a red herring for Rayner's killer. Because why would she escape that testing facility where Vaught was obviously holding her against her will, then learn about the upcoming trial and make her way there to do Vaught's dirty work? It's not impossible, but kind of a stretch to me.
There was yet another Almond Joy moment you guys forgot. When Hewie and Starlight were at the motel. Starlight was eating an Almond Joy out of the vending machine. Also, Black Noir could be in a coma for the rest of this season only to re-appear next season. And besides seeing Meave he probably heard here telling Starlight about his allergy.

Maeve is clearly stronger than black noir in the show and she was clearly going easy on him by feeding him the almond joy,she legit could have killed him
Javier Arredondo in a deleted scene they confirmed maeve is the second strongest member of the seven after homelander so I think she was very much going easy on him
@@blahblah1939 lol I just don't accept that. Also, Black Noir's identity, strength and powers have always been unknown to most people, and if his arc is similar to the comics, he was developed by Vought for a very specific purpose that requires that nobody knows his actual strength.
Cindy's power is to crush things, they kinda splurt stuff everywhere cuz of how fast they're crushed but it's different to what we see with the exploding heads. The exploding head *ex*plode outward, while's Cindy causes things to *im*plode by crushing them very hard and fast.
black Noir's burns look like the ones he got from the fire terrorist, i kinda hope that Starlight can absorb Stormfront's lightning and Homelander's laser's to make here stronger.
By the way, the actor who plays lamplighter is in an awesome show called Killjoys that recently finished. Its a really fun sci-fi show and I would love to see you guys react to it :)
I'm thinking Stormfront answers to Edgar just like every woman answered to her husband back in yesteryear. So yes, I'm guessing Stan Edgar IS Fredrick Vought via some kind of mental transference. Together, they both want Homelander's body and son. And the head-popper has to be Alistair Adana working on his Vought internal coup by offing Shockwave for A-Train.
Good thought. Like he needs a new "perfect" body and if it comes with a child, they can be a perfect white supremacist family. Everything Stormfront would want.
Was pleasantly surprised to see John Noble as Butcher's father. Makes sense why Noir wanted Almond Joy in garbage. Wow! Butcher will do anything to get back at Homelander. Head explosion bonanza 🤯
It was MMilk. He was when the CIA lady´s head exploted and he was watching the TV with no reation blowing people at the trial. He had the opportunity to leave with his family and he didnt take it, why?
The church has to be part of Vought, it doesn't make sense why Vought would allow another organization to recruit their heroes and use them against Vought. I'm wondering if the church was just set up by Vought as another way to keep control of the disgruntled heroes without the heroes knowing.
Canonically whenever The Deep found out they were making "Deep does it in the blowhole" back in 2011 that The Deep asked Stillwell if he could star in it himself
Cindy has the power to crush things, not implode them (she killed the guard who shot her by squishing him, not imploding him if you watch closely). I think everyone's confusing her powers with whoever's doing this head thing.
The fact an Aussie and a Kiwi are playing a cockney father & son is somehow the least ludicrous part of this show. (Sidenote: John Noble is such a damn good actor).
Remember the FBI director in the first episode? That proves this isn’t Cindy since she was locked up at that time. We were then led to believe it was Stormfront, but she was there looking confused as well. It’s either a character we have yet to see or one we didn’t know had powers.
Cindy crushes and implodes her victims and objects. When she uses her power she makes a fist. The doors crushed and so did the canister. The human she killed didn't have nearly has big as an explosion as the heads because she imploding their bodies. Head exploder is literally exploding the heads, and only the heads. Sure it is the Church so they can bring them in on the last episode as another bad working with Vought. Like the Church leader said, they have a meeting with Vaught in a week. I think this was the Churches big move to put Vaught in check before the meeting.
My predictions: 1. We haven’t seen yet Homelander flying toward someone with a bloody face: he look kinda said it’s either Ryan or Maeve who will die facing Stormfront with Starlight and Kimiko. He kinda liked her like he said he knew him the longest 2. The Church is responsible for the last scene. Like many people predict i think it’s a supe with a power becoming a fly maybe it can change any animal 3. A train will be a spy for the Boys (We haven’t seen the clip where A Train is on the street talking to Annie and Hughie
I'm not familiar with the comics (SO DON'T SPOIL ANYTHING HERE), but I highly doubt that Black Noir is dead. I'm pretty sure he's the Deadpool of the Boys universe. He's been shown to approach dangerous situations with zero concern for his life. He let Captain explode right in front of him, he went out of his way to trigger all the nail bombs, and he just stood there and let the boys shoot him a bunch of times (including through his calmly outstretched hand). Those are all things he would do if he knew he couldn't die and wanted to toy with his victims before killing them. An allergic reaction/asphyxiation wouldn't kill Deadpool, and I don't think it'll kill Black Noir. I think it'll just incapacitate him for a while.
I think it's Stormfront that's poping heads. It's her motive. Her narrative. Either directly or she hired someone to always keep the boys looking like villains, so they can create more supes
Vogelbaum knew about Sage Grove Center. If you were to rewatch it, he denies knowing about it but they clearly act so we know he is lying about it. He very well knows and was involved in it until he retired back in season one

Its no stupid. Regular people have nut allergies. They are just regular people with super drugs aren't they. I'm surprised none of them have eczema
@Jonathan Jones glad some people got the reference XD
I think i is too but its the fly that keeps making appearances.
We saw someone like that in Season 1's sex club and at Sage Grove as well but Sage Grove won't make sense, probably the first guy from season 1
1 season too early
Like A-Train and Shockwave everyone can get the same set of powers so maybe it is someone else who has abilities similar to Sydney's.
I feel like Cindy would be too obvious, and the fact that a-trains replacement also died, makes me think that the church had some involvement in this.
Giancarlo Esposito's Genie in Once Upon A Time was the most I've seen him as powerless tool. It was odd but who wouldn't do anything Lana Parilla said.
he was the Magic Mirror
I like the theme of family in this episode. Butcher and Homelander both hand messed up father figures who tried to prepare them for harsh realities of the world. But end up making things worse.
On the clerk: it looked like car headlights passed over his face and made the eyes lighter.
Whoever came up with putting star light in a room where an alarm light hangs doesn’t seem to be very bright does he ^^
Yeah, seems like the lights in the room didn’t give off power, but the emergency light did. They probably assume their security is high enough that something like this wouldn’t happen while they were keeping a supe with power that requires light or energy.
@lo l Why put an emergency light in a prison cell to start with. It's not like you WANT your prisoners to evacuate.
Not as bright as Starlight. :D
I live how they even show Victoria looking in the direction of where the heads explode. Such an awesome twist
But the eye color isn’t changing.
@@eljube0
That's probably a range thing, the further they are the more she has to focus or something!
It’s dumb. It’s a twist for the sake of a twist. It makes no sense
8:38 That's why we don't spoil casting.
Since Shockwave was conveniently head-explodey, paving the way for A-Train's return, then it had to be the leader of that weird church
Starlight disappearing on them and then removing her chip were proofs enough that she had turned on them.
I like how Rick has never heard of a contact allergy, I knew people who had minor problems if it was just in the room with them. For a super hero weakness I think it’s amazing
When Eric mentioned the Almond Joy moment from a couple of episodes back, I had the surprised Pikachu face on .
There are a few unexplained powers/details that I feel will be brought to a reveal at some point:
- That weird fly buzzing around in season 1
- The head popping (Cindy seems like red herring)
- Whatever happened to MM's dad
Almond Joy has payoff, so does the Fresca?
Don't we already know about MM's dad?
@@yahhah3027 they will show it, just like how they foreshadowingly told it in season 1 and show it in second 2 about how frenchie keeps abandoning his task/order and about him and lamplighter.
Soo the writers will do the same with MM's dad.
@@babc6394 But we already know he worked himself to death. What would be the point in showing it.
@@yahhah3027 well, The Boys is always exceeding expectation. And always hard to predict but still makes so much sense. And they haven't threw something unnecessary.
"That's the stupidest way to win a fight but i love it" yup i can relate to that
Wow lol Rick and Calvin sure were calm and emotionless during the Head Explosions 😂
I’m positive Black Noir is not dead. She kicked his epipen away but he could still get it and we know that Edgar watches through the camera on his mask. He probably got helped after Starlight got out.
I love how everyone thought it was Cindy. Dumbest theory ever cuz Reiner got her head bopped way before Cindy was every broken free from jail
Homelander looks like he's really trying to figure out who's doing the head popping and stop them. Like he's actually trying to do his job.
My pick for the head exploder is either Stan Edgar himself or the head of the church, don’t see it make much sense any other way ^^
There was yet another Almond Joy moment you guys forgot.
When Hewie and Starlight were at the motel. Starlight was eating an Almond Joy out of the vending machine.
Also, Black Noir could be in a coma for the rest of this season only to re-appear next season.
And besides seeing Meave he probably heard here telling Starlight about his allergy.
LOVE the fact they added Jack O'Lantern from the comics and his particular fetish.
Great call back.
Jack O'Lantern?
This episode is so crazy man I don’t know what my favorite part is
Hughie with lamplighters hand
Black noirs nut allergy
Hughies pep Talk
Homelander and Ryan stuff
Butcher going off or
The seven porn xD
Yay it's back up. I missed it yesterday.
It's like Majin Vegeta and Frieza got together and decided to kidnap and raise young Gohan. That final shot of Butcher made me think of him all of a sudden going to a secret room putting on his jacket, armor, activating lawgiver, and putting on his helmet.
I'm with Aaron, I think Cindy is a misdirect and we have yet to learn who the head-popper is, and I think Edgar is a good guess....
I thought he died
-Carmine falcone doesn’t die this easily ^^
Obviously this particular comment didn't age very well.
I think black noir is Edgar's son
Or Edgar's grandfather 😗
Like in general I conclude that’s not a bad theory but at the same time I’m like.. is that racist?
I mean idk if they doing the same twist in the comics
why
@@tjcoley1310 why would be? BN was HL's clone in the comics, being black here (and probably other changes) it's interesting and being Edgar's relative might be interesting as hell.
The clerk's eyes were lit up by car headlights. I had to rewind to check, but yeah there's an exterior light passing by.
When the guy at the beginning thought he saw a light in the other guys eyes, I think what he saw was the headlights of a car shinning through the window on his face. I noticed it the second time around, you can see the light shine on the wall behind him for a split second.
I'm so glad they showed that sequence, it's so important and relevant in today's society
@@kielanwade5096 everything related to current citiation, creating terrorists by homelander to use their own gain same as creating terrorists to invade lands and gain profit from gas etc... or creating hate towards muslum or black citizens and when these people got hurt, acting like they are sorry... This show is just amazing from every way.
@Shitty Gal how is creating terrorists related to today climates lol
@@matilda6851 in addition to Matilda, we can just talk about guns that terrorists uses this days, they all provided by USA or France as far as I know... They are not only create but also constantly feed this people with neccesary power. Not just in Middle East but also in Africa.
Just a theory Black Noir and Stan Edgar are twins that jaw is unmistakable!
There’s a trailer for the boys in Spain in which there’s a guy making a sort of hiring of multiple heroes for the seven. There’s one final one which is called oracle, who knows everything and can also make people’s head explode. I think it might be the leader of the church of the collective.
Link? 😯
The Deep will betray Meave. Meave will die I'm calling it now. She should have left with Starlight :(. But then Black Noir isn't dead surely...and while he never physically saw Meave maybe he'll put two and two together.
He could hear Meave talking, so he knows who it was.
@ARC-5555 'Fives' Even if he does know, I get the feeling that he's just unable to communicate it at all. It feels like Edgar controls him directly like a robot, I really wonder what they did to him.
Maeve is clearly stronger than black noir in the show and she was clearly going easy on him by feeding him the almond joy,she legit could have killed him
I don’t think she’s stronger, she just caught him off guard and knew what his weakness was. We have yet to see what black noir’s full power
@@blahblah1939 he’s actually the strongest of the seven he’s stronger and faster than homelander
@@taylorprice5965 that was in the comics, clearly the show is taking a different approach
The ending scene is so crazy and i had the same reaction as you guys, just complete shock and screaming lol
I find it funny how all of them stomps Rick's idea that Noir might not get killed by his allergy. :)
16:35 noticed how Victoria came back to sit on the chair, so she can see who to kill...
Cindy's power is to crush things, they kinda splurt stuff everywhere cuz of how fast they're crushed but it's different to what we see with the exploding heads. The exploding head *ex*plode outward, while's Cindy causes things to *im*plode by crushing them very hard and fast.
"Our witnesses heads are falling off" please tell me that's a Dumb and Dumber reference lool
black Noir's burns look like the ones he got from the fire terrorist, i kinda hope that Starlight can absorb Stormfront's lightning and Homelander's laser's to make here stronger.
the last scene felt like bvs when superman was in courtroom and the bomb went off
You know what they say. Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't.
By the way, the actor who plays lamplighter is in an awesome show called Killjoys that recently finished. Its a really fun sci-fi show and I would love to see you guys react to it :)
Scanners: We have the greatest head explosion scene of all time.
The Boys: Hold my beer.
Yeah Edgar was also in the TV show Once Upon a Time as the magic mirror and he was definitely not in charge
I wonder how many people's heads the opening scene will go over.
The fact an Aussie and a Kiwi are playing a cockney father & son is somehow the least ludicrous part of this show.
(Sidenote: John Noble is such a damn good actor).
The show-runners said they used the nut allergy for Noir because the actor playing him has it.
i gotta say the opening of this episode really got me...
That drink "Fresca" must be something really important that will be uncovered in the final episode of the season.
Remember the FBI director in the first episode? That proves this isn’t Cindy since she was locked up at that time. We were then led to believe it was Stormfront, but she was there looking confused as well. It’s either a character we have yet to see or one we didn’t know had powers.
Wouldn't Vought look a bit suspicious since the witness against Vought got killed but then again Shockwave also got blown.
ok but the allergy to me was genius. like, that guy is basically unstoppable, but his weakness is a nut allergy?? I laughed so hard at that! amazing.
I didn't even catch Butcher drove over the lawn lol, classic Butcher
Cindy crushes and implodes her victims and objects. When she uses her power she makes a fist. The doors crushed and so did the canister. The human she killed didn't have nearly has big as an explosion as the heads because she imploding their bodies. Head exploder is literally exploding the heads, and only the heads. Sure it is the Church so they can bring them in on the last episode as another bad working with Vought. Like the Church leader said, they have a meeting with Vaught in a week. I think this was the Churches big move to put Vaught in check before the meeting.
My predictions:
1. We haven’t seen yet Homelander flying toward someone with a bloody face: he look kinda said it’s either Ryan or Maeve who will die facing Stormfront with Starlight and Kimiko. He kinda liked her like he said he knew him the longest
2. The Church is responsible for the last scene. Like many people predict i think it’s a supe with a power becoming a fly maybe it can change any animal
Blind Wave: It's Denethor!
Me: It's Mrs. Patmore!
Gus Fring also played a boss on Friends who interviewed Chandler for a job.
That opening where that guy killed the cashier was crazy it could have been a lighting thing and that innocent guy died for no good reason at all
It clearly was a mistake.
After Season 2 Ep. 1 I bought a shitload of stock in Fresca and I'm retiring now!
Why did the Deep check his head? Does he know something we don’t? Or does he know they have the technology to do it with an implant?
It breaks my heart that Fat Neil from community would be influenced by Stormfront's nazi-rhetoric
Well, looks like it's true, time really CHANGs you.
Re watching this that court makes sm more sense
My theory: it's someone who can shrink and they're flying into people's ears and growing
