Without spoiling the identity, I was completely surprised by that reveal.
Pretty much noone saw it coming, which was great too, this show is so well written..
Now that we know who it really was, you can go back through the scene and notice the subtle hints that it was "that person."

The start of this episode felt a bit too real.
The amount of people that assumed Homelander killed Vogelbaum when he said he "squeezed" the truth out of him is astounding. As is the amount of people who immediately thought Cindy was exploding heads lmao. Also I feel like it's a bit of a plot-hole now that Neuman's eyes weren't glowing because, after the reveal at the end of this season, every time we see her use the power her eyes glow.

I was so excited to see Shawn Ashmore and him being "Pyro" was such a great choice. I wish they kept him around and gave him his own redemption arc. It could have served as a double redemption: one in universe for Torchlight and one for Shawn to give him a fun role as an iconic superhero after how Fox kinda just dragged all the X-Men around. Iceman/Bobby was definitely one of the better X-Men in the movies and I'm pretty bummed they didn't keep his character in The Boys. Shawn Ashmore synergizes with elemental powers like Hugh Jackman does with Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds with Deadpool; it just makes sense.
