Konami could give us Psychic, Spellcaster and Zombies or whatever, but no, more dragons…Like we haven’t just had Tenpai and years worth of Albaz related dragon cards. It’s all so tiresome…
Malice is pretty obviously Alice in Wonderland themed, with that monster being the Queen of Hearts. Which makes me wonder, has Wonderland never been done as an archetype before?
I’m not usually a mech guy but “Raiseol” feels like it exudes character - I’m pumped! An Alice archetype is unbelievably cool and that dragon horse guy has some very stylish high heels lol
Finally a true super robot archetype? And the fact that it’s an xyz archetype is giving me hope that the playstyle is similar to super quants with the “merging” or “combining” of the cards to summon the big boss monsters. Would it hinder the deck’s viability? Maybe, but would be so on point for a super robot, at least if that’s what they’re going for.
Rizeol's immediate visuals remind me of Gundam 00's Masurao but it's way too Super Robot and the eyes really make me think Shin Getter. Specifically naming three "things" associated with the robot (light, fire, lightning) might indicate it's going to be loosely inspired by Getter Robo. Oh, now that I think about it, Megaton Musashi. That's the vibes that face is giving me. Either way, it has the vibes of one of those retro super robot series where, "Looks like the only ones who can handle the machine are either superior pilots... Or insane!"
I won’t lie my mind immediately jumped to daiguard, probably due to the fact that I’m currently watching it, but it surprisingly does have very similar proportions to raizeol deadnader , with the comically bloated shoulders, arms, and legs and skinny waist.
Rizeol looks like Gigantic Champion Sargas and Ryuka looks similar to Constellar. The Malice one looks nice too, but I can't think of an archetype that looks similar to it though
I feel the hot rodder transformers will be like a machine / pyro / thunder archetype, maybe the idea is that depending on the type of card you detach from the xyz determines the effect? That be interesting
I think the Ryuka’s theme are the 3 dragons trying to one up each other. Like if a dragon of a certain element uses its effect, this card gets this effect. My idea is that you loop the dragons, each one using a different effect to provide a different advantage than the one before it. I don’t know how this would work, but maybe Dragon Links will have fun with it.
The TCG hates the OCG for continuously printing Dragons and continuously banhammers Dragon Link with a vengeance, but the climbing tag-outs snowballing into synergy like Glad Beasts or Sun and Moon Dragons could be pretty cool.
I love all 3 Monsters and each archetype has potential to look very cool! Here’s my prediction on what they could play like Rizeol: We know it’s an Xyz deck. The lightning and fire makes me think they’ll either be Fire Thunder monsters or be the Tri-brigade/Raika of Thunder, Pyro, and/or Machine monsters (maybe Pyro isn’t a good idea because Snake Eyes, but it’s a possibility). The monster gives me a Super Quant Magnus vibe, as well as that brawler mech vibe so it could either be a Towers-like card or an OTK machine that deals double damage or attacks twice, or a mix of both. Malice: Definitely a control deck. Obviously based on Alice In Wonderland, so maybe it will revolve around a “Wonderland” Field Spell. Considering this card they chose to represent the deck is the Queen of Hearts, it’s probably not going to revolve around Alice as much and focus on her. Maybe a protect the queen style of deck where she enables her minions to do her dirty work. Ryuka: now this one is a bit harder to guess. They did state it’s based around high-level dragon monsters, 3 of them being the main focus, so it could be more of a midrange archetype focused around getting big Dragon monsters onto the field. It might even be Fusion based given it did say it’s a fusion of all three dragons. As for the monster itself, I have no idea what its effect could be. Can’t wait to learn more about them and see how close my predictions are!!
The "dragons that evolve into dragons" sounds like a clunky mistranslation of the in-lore process by which Dragons become Wyrms, and the one in the picture appears to be wearing an Eye of Illusion, so there's still a chance that it could be a mix of types.
Ryuka looks like a wyrm to me. Plus the name also fits in with most of the wyrm monsters. They yang rings the swordsouls. They all have Chinese inspired names. Longhua is definitely in that realm. So it's 80% going to be a wyrm synchro deck.
Yeah the dragunity player in me was taken aback by that comment lol, but yeah that dragon archetype looks sweet hope the 2 other dragons have there own aesthetic to them
Im so sick of dragons getting constant suppkrt and everything else getting left behind. We never get good reptiles or rocks (except adamancipator). I want at least 1 good reptile deck. Maybe make mark zuckerberg use it in the anime 😂
Malice could be Earth/Dark/Light themed imho. Depends on which attribute it holds. (or if it has multiple). Cynet mining, as well as a couple other cyberse gems could really make it standout if it turns out to be Cyberse-based (Konami is known to troll us with archetype typings in the past).
I think your right about Ryuka, it might be a pokemon crossover reference, the ryuka creation dragon of light could be arceus, and the two dragons it competes with could be similar to palkia and dialga,
Maybe even Illusion + Wyrm since "dragons that evolve into dragons" makes no sense unless it's a mistranslation of "Dragons that evolve into Wyrms (Phanton Dragons iirc)" so there could be a whole theme of evolving from physical life to mystical intangibility.
Not gonna lie, I was hoping for a decent Zombie archetype, but I was expecting something better in terms of design than high level Dragons (Fake Dragon Rulers), the fusion between Spright and Mechs and the fusion between Labyrinth and Evil Twin Beast/Winged Beast/Zombie/Rock deserve a new archetype so much The only design new and interesting is the archetype inspired in Alice in Wonderland with the Queen of Hearts
@@Grimsly3736 I think Zombie's generic cards are very good. Mezuki, Uni-Zombie, Gozuki, Bloom, Doomking, Banshee, Zombie World. Maybe, we need a draw spell to cycle such as Moray of Avarice for Fish or Spellbook of Knowledge for Spellcasters, but Zombie is one of the strongest generic types. We simply don't have a good arcehtype to play these cards and exploit their potential and that's such a shame because we need a bunch of good cards to have a rogue/T2 strategy

But seeing that they are 3 different dragons competing, it could be fun if it's an engine that depending of what dragon you play, you "support" different play-styles (like one is more control/trap based, the second is more "protect the castle" and the third is more swarm oriented?). My interest goes like this: Rizeol, Ryuka and then MAlice.

They could always just not, like how Mathmech is Cyberse-type Synchro and Xyz instead of Link-focused (iirc, the few Links they play were imported from other families and for the specific purpose of those being the ones that support Synchro and Xyz Summoning).
Rizeol might be battle phase oriented. Xyz tenpai? Malice might have a gimmick where you Extra Deck summon by having certain poker hands and revealing them. Ryuka might be Reshiram (blue orb), Zekrom (green orb), and Kyurem (red orb) based.
Considering we already have a playing card based archetype and this archetype Is so blatantly based on Alice in wonder land and not poker so that idea of a gimmick for it will probably never happen
You just described how _every_ Deck summons from the Extra Deck, including the previous Poker archetype: open the nuts and you get to play from the ED. 😂

I pray these three new archetypes save the next several formats of modern yugioh
If Rizeol is indeed a Thunder archetype I wouldnt be surprised if they had a way to summon thunderdragon colossus
4:12 it's sanctuary in the shy support they look like parashath
Springans crossover would be cool
spright support?
It would be cool lorewise but too broken in gameplay where that dragon archtype have like 3 starters and 3 different combos for each dragon
Got a feeling that one or all of these will dominate the next year of Ygo
another mecha robot, cute girl, dragon archetype. wow very daring arent we
Cyberse Alice in wonderland
Every single design is fire, holy shit. Sucks one of them is gonna be unplayable for a while, but, it is what it is.
Cyberse Alice in Wonderland bout to go crazy
You know, they could print the deck of the light ignis from vrains. They already have a decks worth of material, just copy paste
Megas XLR
Alice in wonderland
And maybe jackie chan adventurers type of refrence type of thing?
So maybe Malice will be a Link centered deck, as a SkyStiker player i hope for this 😅
Glad we're getting another dragon archetype. Dragon link has been dead for a minute
You can hold Control Z to zoom out
Already calling it, the waifu archetype is going to be broken or OP
Machines, waifus, and dragons. The Yu-Gi-Oh trifecta ir borderline creative bankruptcy
Malice is goin gto be the deck thats super unique in design but bad, Rizeol will be the just good overpriced deck like VS and centurion, and probably play as boring as Centurion, and finally Ryuka will be the one that MBT says is boring as hell and bad then it gets amazing support that will break the deck and he'll suddenly say its amazing and soo fun.
I’m not a dragon fan at all but the dragon art gave me a chaos synchro vibe. I would have preferred it to be more chaos synchro support but alas it’s another stupid dragon deck….. the machine art is kinda goofy ngl and the waifu one looks cool too
CROSSOVER breakers
So the rizeol = transformers
Malice = probably alice
The 3rd idk
They just can't leave dragon's behind huh
Hope they are Wyrm type with Dragon name and design
Wow you know arceus nice
Its Alice in Wonderland my dude. Its why The A is inverted, "M"-Alice that's the Queen of Hearts.
CROSSOVER breakers
I swear there was another card with that weird "A" in it. Centurion?
The upside down is probably from amazement
@@JustNutzProdthe upside down a is probably grom amazement
Alice in wonderland is finally getting an archetype. I'm hyped. Especially if it is a cyberse deck, I tend to like those
CROSSOVER breakers
Gundam Build Fighters Deck????
Actually it looks more like a Musashi from Megaton Musashi. A very obscure Super robot anime.
Super-Quantum 2.0
Trickstar 2.0
True Draco 2.0
Did Konami just give us Arceus? the description of 3 Dragons also reminds me of Giratina, Palkia and Dialga...haha
Maybe they'll be good on arrival for once
Ooh, Dragons
Bet Ryuka will somehow make D-Link viable again
Mechs, dragons and waifus... how original
