Waitaminute… Strong female character who looks like a witch? Equips demonic looking weapons? Has a rival wearing white? Summons a kaiju-looking beast for support? Is this a Bayonetta reference?
It's Bayonetta mixed with Blazblue. Diabellstar is Ragna The Bloodedge as a girl, the Goblin Bikers are a Taokaka/Team Rocket type that wants to make money off her bounty like Ragna and they now added a Bayonetta rival charcter in Diablleze and both have the Cereza backstory from the Switch side game.
I never noticed that Diabell's eyes match with Asteria's and Risette's. I didn't expect the idea of a yet unknown enemy to the story, but it does *kinda* work with how much Bayonetta blood is in this story so far. Though I do think that Diabellze isn't just being controlled, but was lured and is, on some level, acting of her own accord. She's actively hiding her true nature from everyone, and that doesn't feel like something a character that's being controlled would do. Plus her being the only other Illusion monster in the story so far feels like an indication that she's less than trustworthy.
Honestly my take on sinful spoils struggle is that crazy beast is in some way a sinful spoils itself, which is why Poplar can eat it like that, it eats Diabellstar's magic so much it turned pink, so it absorbing all of crazy beast and taking parts of it when it evolved must mean (to me) that crazy beast is part sinful spoils as for the white woods, I just think that Diabell is the evil one lol, i always saw it as she was the shadow, because she has the shadow in her artwork, and it seemingly infecting the other spellcasters, enough that it turn them into sinful spoils and gave asteria and risette they're powers (maybe because of the apple? or something else? unsure of that for now) I really am curious how this story will go with diabellstar and the goblins, I'm a little bit coping but i could see them, seeing that diabellstar was struggling and was working hard, that the posters were wrong about her and they decide to help her out from now one, they're just too silly to be removed now Edit: Demon of the white woods is shown! and it has Diabelle giving the apple to asteria and risette, so she is the cause for most likely a lot of the problems!
From the valuable book ex4: "Goblin’s Crazy Beast For one reason or another, swallowed the “Sinful Spoils Aitone” that Gobonga acquired as a result of a great adventure was swallowed…." So the crazy beast swallowed some sinful spoil, which was why poplar reacted to it. For diabell, the thing that stands out to me is that the rune symbol in the green/purple rune thing she has in her hand is also like the source of the shadows on the spell/trap cards, implying she's a villain. We also see the symbol on the ground in rcia's art so maybe it just stands for the power of the woods as a whole though?
It might be a reach, but while we are on the topic of abrahamic religion. The name Diabellze reminds me of Beelzebub, a bastardization of the god Baal ze Bul taken from a different religion and turnt into a demon. Meanwhile Diabellstar reminds me of the Morning Star, which was Lucifers nickname before becoming a demon. So you have Diabellstar who has the name of a well known demon BEFORE turning into one, and Diabellze who has the name of a well known demon AFTER turning into one
As for different religion, kinda? It's from the caanites, who are the ancestors of the later jews. The abrahamic God is the later form of a storm God, even keeping his name of Yaweh
I feel like Diabell is the great evil of the story. You pointed it out on Whispers that the White Woods are now black. And while the coloration in the artwork is important, the black vines coming off Diabell looks to similar to Whispers background. It also doesn't help that in Woes, Diabell's insignia is in the darkness of the forest. What I imagine happened is that the two students, whether in youthful rebellion or blind innocents, both ate of the same apple. These two gave Diabell her form. The mentors battled to release their students at the cost of turning themselves into Sinful Spoils. The power of Diabell was split in two, and where Asteria mourned the loss of her mentor, Risette was addicted to the power and sought to bring them back as one. Cut to the Snake Eyes events. Asteria hoped for a way to end Diabell, but all she got was Poplar. She wasn't sure what to do until the conflict with the goblins happened, and now she realized that she now has a Kirby. But before Asteria can use this new discovery, Risette has to come in and ruin everything. Which ends this theory session for now.
Worth noting is that we can see diabell's insignia watching asteria and rizette, and on the ground near rcia and silve. That might mean diabell "had her eyes" on the two of them as like a way to free herself
after Nova mention about the evil within the apple, You can see that the staff holding on of diabellze has the apple in it. Maybe that's how she is being manipulated and trying to hunt diabellstar
The younger versions of diabellze and diabellastar might give hints to motives Diabellze has the chains present on her art and a smile, she might be one of those characters that is out for power but she remains pretty to make people trust her more For diabellastar, she has the studious good student vibe in younger art but the older art, she gives off slacker with some pictures but its kind of a "good student gave it up after events in life situation
I like this idea. Diabellze being the "friendly" one hiding ulterior motives, and Diabelle, being the studious one who after everything went wrong, plays the "bad girl" because she doesn't want to get burned again.
So I know they don’t have a ton of synergies, but I like the idea of white woods/chaos synchro, using cards like chaos witch, and chaos mirage dragon to make big and powerful light/dark synchro boss monsters. While it’s not amazing, I still wanna build it because I think it’ll be fun
Aaaah! I was hoping that maybe i could find some synergy between these and Witchcrafters, but I think that difference between DISCARDING 1 spell card and SENDING 1 spell/trap is gonna cause issue!
As powerful as Snake-Eyes is currently, it’s exciting to see the White Woods lore get tied into Diabellstar’s story. The Synchro based strategy of White Woods is also pretty interesting. Subbed to the channel a while back and I really like all of the lore explanations and also the archetype gameplay and techs that can be used! Also, the other video series like progression polls are also fun to watch!
30:35 not the only person here who has said it but is this archetype based on Bayonetta? You also have each of the main witches having a differently coloured magic shown in one eye, a hint of a time skip, angels and demons, I haven’t even PLAYED the Bayonetta games and have only seen plot summaries

The snake eye monsters. Pretty sure there was just a time skip instead of just unnatural aging especially when you consider that diabelstar is a wanter criminal. After all the only 2 cards with "original sin" are diabelleze and original sinful spoils which shows a snake-eye surronded by white branches
To have the name the original sin keeper I don’t think that was a title passed down from there mentor in the card beware the white woods it one of the kids & I put my money on that person being Risetite because in the character art she gets upset when no one wants to play with her & go off into the woods & let something free. & I been waiting on you to tell this story love your lore work💪🏾💪🏾
@@6210classick First off, classy use of a slur there. Secondly adding a title like keeper to that name for language purposes is fine on it's own, it's the implied changing of meaning that's the issue.
I’m ngl, and maybe this is because I’m so just exhausted with Yugioh with how disappointing trickstars support was, how I’ve only been hyped for the melodious, memento and ritual beast support this year, and just the year of fire in general, but I don’t really care for the diabel storyline. Albaz started out interesting from the very beginning and I was hooked on it from that point even if I thought the decks themselves where hella boring but this was just doesn’t have the same thrill. Maybe it’s because diabel and snake eye are so broken from the start or maybe its because none of the current decks feel unique in any form but the story line itself feels so so slow which I’m usually good at handling, I play a lot of slow starting vns, but nothing has actually enticed me to want to see what diabel is up to compared to albaz
That's fair, Albaz dropped archetypes like no tomorrow, so it felt way faster, and Visas gave us multiple top-tier decks, while they have gone slower in release for Diabell, but I really can't wait to see what the storylines link and Fusion archetypes will be 😄
32:55 That reminds me of the legend of Adam and Eve. In that story, Eve was tempted to take a bite from the forbidden fruit (the apple of Eden) by a snake that hid himself somewhere around the tree.

all this is totally inspired by Madoka Magica, right? i mean, they literally have soul gems and they corrupt into witches
To have the name the original sin keeper I don’t think that was a title passed down from there mentor in the card beware the white woods it one of the kids & I put my money on that person being Risetite because in the character art she gets upset when no one wants to play with her & go off into the woods & let something free. & I been waiting on you to tell this story love your lore work💪🏾💪🏾
That's kind of what I think when ya look at the artwork between each of the cards.
in the OCG, Diabellze name is "Diabellze of the Original Sin". TCG just added the keeper part because thier localization team is retarded
@@6210classick First off, classy use of a slur there.
Secondly adding a title like keeper to that name for language purposes is fine on it's own, it's the implied changing of meaning that's the issue.
lore! lore! lore!
….maybe we get Snake Eyes Flamberge Beast Level 8 fiend, or something
7:49 you mean like yubel or unchained?
This archetype looks really really cool. Shame it's gonna be like $300 when it comes to the TCG
That's fair, Albaz dropped archetypes like no tomorrow, so it felt way faster, and Visas gave us multiple top-tier decks, while they have gone slower in release for Diabell, but I really can't wait to see what the storylines link and Fusion archetypes will be 😄
Diablo + Belle, Demon (Demonic) Beauty 🤯
Also a reference to the infamous real life outlaw "Belle Starr" who was known as "The Bandit Queen"
What was that poem?
They should add this to dyel links adn master duel
New Witches in the woods.
8:49 irony incoming 😂
11:47 He only speaks facts.
Morrian is probably Diabelle
Getting lots of Bayonetta vibes.
4:09 Did you learn NOTHING from Digimon!
maybe mix them with witch crafter somehow?
those are better than every Witchcrafter card combined
32:55 That reminds me of the legend of Adam and Eve. In that story, Eve was tempted to take a bite from the forbidden fruit (the apple of Eden) by a snake that hid himself somewhere around the tree.
So poplar is kirby
No mention of centur-ion in tech pick....
I saw these cards can combine well with Shaddoll... I really hope they don't become another horribly built and obnoxious deck like Snake Eye is
fish
I can’t believe he forgot to mention that key card that thrusted the deck into tier zero status smh
(The Fiend of the White Woods)
Wait is this story just like Adam and eve from bible.
Or in this case: Adanne and Eve
The 2 kids are lilith and eve diabel is the devil,
So,... ... yuri?
