  • Author John Grisham has had 28 consecutive #1 New York Times fiction bestsellers, since "The Pelican Brief" in 1992. Now he's back with his latest novel, "The Whistler." The former attorney talks with correspondent Anthony Mason about how he happily dropped his law career, though he never really left the law far behind.

My favorite author in fiction. Love his work.... all of it..... I very very much love that he built these baseball fields for kids. Baseball is my favorite sport as I believe that out of any sports that there will be baseball in heaven:)

I was asked once who I would want at a fictional dinner party and John Grisham was one. Eloquent and intelligent.

*I read my first John Grisham novel in March of this year; I’m hooked! I’ve since added 18 more to my collection & am currently reading The Litigators.*
*I love his “legal crime” style of writing.* 📚 ✍️ 📖

Think of all the people he helped by spelling out legal matters in an easy-to-understand and entertaining format.

I am thinking of The Reckoning as a movie.........I believe it is too graphic for that! A great writer.........no one even close as far as I am concerned!

I have read just about all of the books he has written, and the best one will always be "A Time to Kill" That will always be #1 with me! The only ones I really didn't like Were "A Painted House" and I forget the other two.

    A vintage John Grisham story:
    -Practice law,get rich, and quit
-develop alcoholism while doing legal work
-have a washed up family member
-story must happen in southern US,that's where the fun is
-learn to dodge the authorities and the mob
-the Caribbean is the promised land to enjoy the newfound wealth
-leave the fate of your protagonist to be unknown
    Am I missing anything?

One swell fella. Mickey which I still havent seen. Once upon a time, a girl had a dream. That she would meet all these really important people. And would become an important person too. They came into her life in a very strange way. She couldn't recognize anybody. But their energy ate her alive. She was consumed daily in the wake of their passing. Through the hours and minutes that conspired to drive her insane. She wasnt finished recuperating from one guy when another showed up. Her feminine wiles woke then slept then woke then slept while the clock beat the crap out of any semblance of love. Friends she knew were gone. I was the only one in Grand Central Station in the crowd of people who all knew each other.

Just finished your recent book”The Guardians”. In my opinion the poorest of all your books.
Could I suggest that you hang up your boots and accept like a lot of great authors that you have dried up on and can only damage your excellent reputation.I certainly would not be buying any more Grisham books. Kenny Gray.
