I just finished "A Time for Mercy", and I feel it is the best book I have ever read. His creativity knows no bounds, and I love his books. He is an awesome writer, and I am jealous of his talent. Keep writing Mr. Grisham, and I will keep buying your work.
John Grisham is one of my favorite authors and his books are smart books, very likable books. Bestsellers are important and they are, without doubt, smart books. They are just entertainment, they are full of information and different world views. I envy such success, though not jealous.
*I’m a big John Grisham fan & am currently reading The Litigators. I wholeheartedly agree with his writing tip of not introducing 20 characters in the first chapter. I recently read Dominick Dunne’s book People Like Us; ultimately it was a pretty good book but it was really hard to follow in the beginning because there were so many characters introduced in the first 2 chapters.*
Besides stephen king this guy is the most prolific writer we have working today. Plus like stephen king he's a genuinely humble guy. The two of them did a q and a session together I'd encourage people to check that out it's on youtube.
Having read a few Grishams, I'm utterly convinced that EVERYONE in America goes for a morning jog, is rich, perfectly teethed & toned and works for a trendy law firm.
Camino Island very good, but read the sequel, Camino WInds (2020)...even better. Keep going with this series, John. We love Cable, each character, the camaraderie, and the whole Florida-beach-town scenario.
The books like CHAMBER, STREET LAWYER,JUROR etc.altogether i have read 13 books written by this dashing author. Few years back, while i was on a tour at Thirubantapuram [ in India] i found the writer in a boo stall, got few copies and brought home at Assam,3000 km far and read the books. As a lawyer myself, found the boos very interesting. latest words are there for me,could collected many new things with newest strokes of writting. Eagerly waiting for the new arrival of 'Camino Island'.
Mischievous & culpable themes are Mr. Grishams attributes of product sales. That one interviewer, seems to be hinting milliter manus imposuit,,, maybe a novel of Rogatory Letters...
With him being friends with Stephen King, I find it odd that he basically says being a pantser or discovery writer is BS. I like him, but he knows better than that. Not everyone outlines and you don't HAVE to do it.
Even though Bruce Cable is a handsome, hopeless, heterosexual ladies man I read him as the character Beverly Leslie from 'Will and Grace'. Voice, mannerisms, accent, etc... I think the seersucker suits and bowties threw me off. I thoroughly enjoyed the book.
John Grisham looks too depressingly cool and confident. I don't think that I can possibly write like this dude. I always do what he said - I read many of the sentences twice or thrice.

I'm half way through the book and so far it's an amazing book

Me too!
Due to personal reasons I’ve hit a reading slump however Grisham has cured it just tore through rainmaker and just about to start the guardians
Think I've read them all and this one was just as great as the rest!

wOAh. I was _not_ expecting a southern accent to come out of his mouth hahaha
Authors are literally crazy! JG is the best. Sydney Sheldon is the second best.

Having read a few Grishams, I'm utterly convinced that EVERYONE in America goes for a morning jog, is rich, perfectly teethed & toned and works for a trendy law firm.
oh for sure. Every single one. I'm surprised you got that from a book, and not from the news, it's common knowledge.
You mean there are some who don’t?
great to listen to n watch one of my favorite fiction writer - the master story teller!
Camino Island very good, but read the sequel, Camino WInds (2020)...even better. Keep going with this series, John. We love Cable, each character, the camaraderie, and the whole Florida-beach-town scenario.
great author
I like the difference between King and Grisham Writing style :D
Aha yea they’re so completely different. Their personal Dos and Donts are opposite. 😅

Amazing!
Excellent writer. Very popular in France.
Awwwwwwgrrat interview. Camino Winds. Needs another one. Book store owner relishes his side dishes. Southern accents automatic cool.
I wish you will come to Philippines, so all my books of yours will be signed 😭😃
Looking forward to the Oxford, MS book-signing of "Camino Island". Thanks, JG, for some great novels!
[1:30] He posed as a criminal mastermind and got a group of professionals together to plan how to pull it off :-)
Awesome!
The Master
Welcome to Japan
Good genre writer.
Did the interviewer say "Caleb" as the main character of the book he's talking about?
He did. His dyslexia kicked in.

Currently reading 'Rogue Lawyer' and planning to read the rest of his novels. Great writer
Hmmm... The TV presenter(s) were a bit rude! "Where's my free copy?" Like you can't afford it? Show the man a little respect!
that reporter dude's voice lol
Hahahahaahaaha
John Grisham looks too depressingly cool and confident. I don't think that I can possibly write like this dude. I always do what he said - I read many of the sentences twice or thrice.
Just enjoy his work...
Time for a story that features a good guy lawyer fighting for medical freedom in a totalitarian world!
Love John Grisham, can't stand to listen to Charlie Rose.
Where are those ten rules for writing?
Make your own. It is all subjective. :)
Uno de mis escritores preferidos...
Venky movie fans like here
Is he wearing a toupee?
The Confession is my favorite John Grisham book, which I would love to see made into a major motion picture.
This is how he can afford the best hairpieces
Lol
