The total weight of the original parts is 379g, the weight of the new psrts is 350g, am I right?
Original parts for calipers and levers was 576 grams vs Ridea’s caliper and lever is 350 grams.

I enjoyed your video as usual - many thanks. These brakes are sure awesome! Unfortunately they don't fit my wallet. Do you have a recommondation for a break setup, which improve the Brompton original but don't cost a fortune like the Ridea setup?
Brompton brakes are good, you can go like our old setup which is just replacing the bolts with all black TiParts Workshop titanium bolts, looks good, save you from rust, and gives you a little lighter weight, it looks better in all black!

Just curious are Ridea brake levers short or long pull? (I do not mean short/long reach) I understand caliper brake uses short pull lever unlike V-brakes uses long pull. But ridea website only state "cable actuated". Hope you can advice. Thank you
That is a very good question Benji as manufacturers dont put this informations, this particular brake lever from Ridea is a short pull that matches the requirements of the side pull or short pull Brompton calipers. We can see that some uses long pull but this makes your Brompton brake power less and you need to grip you levers for your bike to stop, we never advice our use long pull/v brake levers to use with side pull C calipers.
@@781BromptonPremiumParts Thanks for the advice! Earlier i did some measurements on the brake cable ancher to the pivot point of the stock brompton brake levers, it is approx 2.5cm. but Ridea (from my friend) is about 3cm. For short pull, isn't shorter distance=better? 😀
How about the brake performance compared to bromptom original one
It grips more compared to the original, you will be saving your Brompton from rust by changing those steel rust magnets bolts from the original Brompton calipers.
