Very nice. But also pretty much the only original stock part left is the frame. Would you mind telling me how much the bike weighs and how much the total cost was for bike + upgrades/parts?
Thanks for the response. I recently got a CHPT3 and was asking just to work out what are very essential upgrades that would actually make a difference in weight and better ride. I am not intending to completely modify the bike as I think it would defeat the purpose of getting a CHPT3. Although I really enjoy seeing what you guys come up with.
I love the upgrades that you have made. I especially like the colour, navy blue and black. In my opinion, it is better than Brompton's own black version.
Thanks Fredrick! yeah you can use 6 speed wheelset to your A line but you need to add the rear derailleur assembly and chain pusher as well for the external cogs to work.
Excellent video and upgrades! Outstanding bike! How would you do the reverse and convert a 2-speed Brompton to a 1-speed? Brompton has apparently discontinued production of single speed bikes. So, the only way to get the same simplicity and minimal maintenance is through conversion. Thanks for sharing your videos!
You are so kind Tanya, we are happy that we inspire you somehow, to convert it to single speed, you will only need some cogs spacers then remove the shifters, we haven’t tried it but any questions just give us a buzz!
Am I dreaming, or are those tires beefier than normal? I’m desperately seeking a way to modify my Brompton to accommodate the cobble boulders here in my small Mexican village. I need better suspension and fatter tires. And suggestions?
Hi Ferry, it really depends on the wheelset or the hub, spacers will be available and you will have to do a bit of a trial and error on which one works for you. THANKS man!
Thanks, changing the rims of my Toyota Corolla doesn't make it a BMW, it is still a Brompton - just better - removing the parts that became rusty for some time making it more suited for the type of ride that the rider uses it for is the main goal.
There's a saying from the days of wooden sailings ships that a vessel in which virtually every bit of wood has been replaced remains the same ship. Perhaps that is true of bicycles.
Very nice.

Hi Henry, We haven’t check the weight after all the upgrade but we will get back to you on that, regarding the cost, upgrade cost more than the bike.
Thanks for the response.

Wow loving the Black and Blue combination, Joseph Kuosac Wheelset, H&H with DT swiss shifter that is hot!
Thanks Arvin!
Nice build Kabayan! Two thumbs up!
Salamat kabayan
Another fabulous work 781! 👍👍 congratulations to the proud owner.
Thanks 👍
A beautiful looking Brompton 👌
Thanks Kingfisher
I love the upgrades that you have made. I especially like the colour, navy blue and black. In my opinion, it is better than Brompton's own black version.
Appreciate that, Tempest Blue creates that very light contrast with Black which make it unique some how, we love it.
Very nice and clean looking ride. Love all the upgrades. Cheers to you and your Brompton.
Thanks, you too Alex! Enjoy riding.
Str8 sick!! Awesome!!
Appreciate it!!
What a stunner, awesome.
Nice one Gary, Thanks!
The fire of personal transportation! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
J’adore, très belle finition!
Thanks Josian, Keep safe!
just Awesome...great job 781
Thanks Apolo for your kind words!
Wish the brompton had front suspension like the moulton.
He made the upgrade switch in the streets so the wife will not notice the upgrades! 🤣😅✌️
Haha, wife will not know, thinking the same bike is coming home after the ride!
🤣🤣🤣
Love your video production, beautiful as always. Those stock crank arm, pedals and levers need to go man
Oh yes, we are working on it! I'm with you
Wwwoooowww!!!! Que pasada!!
Thanks Alex!
That's the nxt bike on my list 🤩
its worth it man!
this is sick 💯🔥
Thanks Pratik!
Cool.
Good assembly bicycle....
Thanks Francis!
Looking slick. Do you have any videos with racing green colour? Looking for some inspiration 🙏
We do have one racing green, you can view them on our Instagram, Thanks!
Tempest Blue is my all time favourite Brompton colour, too bad it's no longer available for 2022, got a House Red instead.
Both stunning colors Consinus!
Awesome
Thanks dude
Om from Indonesia like your video
take care over there Om!
Awesome!! Is this final part?
It is the final part, but for this guy, who knows when is he going to stop upgrading LOL!
Super nice video i can just daydream haha, anyway can i use my 6 speed wheelset to replace my A-Line 3 speed rear wheelset?
Thanks Fredrick! yeah you can use 6 speed wheelset to your A line but you need to add the rear derailleur assembly and chain pusher as well for the external cogs to work.
Chain tensioner lighter changeable
Beautiful! Will the DT Swiss gear shifter conversion work on my M6L? I really want to swap out the plastic shifters as they aren’t super comfortable.
We havent try it for internal gears, but DT Swiss just function so well with external plus the build quality is just amazingly good!
This upgrade still using the stock 2 speed tensioner?
Yes Fadz, we still used the stock 2 speed Brompton tensioner
Ok cool thank u. So For 2 speed upgrade to 3 speed, it’s just plug and play with minimod cogset and dts swiss shifter?
@@fadzblumer yes, you might need to have a 10 or 11 speed chain that goes to this setup, nothing that you can’t do, goodluck
@@781BromptonPremiumParts Thank you so much :D
Hi, can dt swiss shifter be use for both side? And is it suitbale for stock internal gearing system?
To be honest, we only did try the DT swiss for external gearing only, this is something we would like to try, I’ll update what’s the result.
Love your video but I can't afford Brompton.
Excellent video and upgrades! Outstanding bike! How would you do the reverse and convert a 2-speed Brompton to a 1-speed? Brompton has apparently discontinued production of single speed bikes. It’s the normal marathon racer, which is pretty good already, you can try using marathon racer plus.
awesome bike, hows the roll wen folded?
To be honest we haven't tried, for rolling while folded I think having a rack will be better.
Is it piccadilly blue?
@@seanyushi9096 no, this is Tempest Blue.
hi bro ,my brompton is completely black now. what color accessories are better to match?
I will go for all Black but a Gold combination can give a good unique match I think.
@@781BromptonPremiumParts thx ,i will try
@@bali4154 dont forget to tag us in Instagram and Facebook when you've done it, we want to see your projects as well.
@@781BromptonPremiumParts sure, but I think purple and black are more special than gold?
With Black as the base, I think it will look good with any combination, it will only comes with the owners preference.
Awesome! By the way what’s the length of the chain after converting to 3 speed?
110 links for 56t chainring with Minimods 11-14-17 unicogs.
damn!
Oh we know Nimesh!
Great video!!! Did you have to use a spacer for the minimods cog on the JK carbon rim? Or just the 1.8mm cirlip? Mine wobbles a bit
Hi Ferry, it really depends on the wheelset or the hub, spacers will be available and you will have to do a bit of a trial and error on which one works for you. THANKS man!
Would you go for the Superlight version of this bike?
I would, it would be nice to have those titanium extremities factory fit.
@@781BromptonPremiumParts so expensive though mate to save a kilo but I love the look of the titanium
Yeah I know John, its not for everyone.
what difference in gearing does this 3-speed offers as compared to the original 2?
Extra 17T cogs provide you more relax pedaling going uphill
Goodness me and it's only a bike.
spend a few thousand dollars on a brompton, and another few thousand on the upgrade.
Why don't you show the whole process of the conversion instead of cutting the video all the time?
I finally have some ideas about how many cheap stuffs were used in the original Brompton. Thank God that I didn't buy one.
We think you should.
Desperately needs voice so the newbie knows whats going on and why
Hi Joe, we are always available if you have any questions, happy to help.
So many changes that is not a Brompton anymore, it’s pretty but is not a Brompton any more.
Thanks, changing the rims of my Toyota Corolla doesn't make it a BMW, it is still a Brompton - just better - removing the parts that became rusty for some time making it more suited for the type of ride that the rider uses it for is the main goal.
