They dont need to diversify the cast to latino just because the audience is mainly that, this movie proves that, we latinos myself included dont go to movies or to see a movie depending if the cast has representation of our etnic, we really dont care, so they should just continue the way they did sonic and sonic 2, and the 3rd movie should be fine.

As a southamerican, I think Hollywood should focus on two things to get the Latino community right: 1) They need to focus in latino values instead on looking to represent one community in particular. Latinoamerica is huge but the values of family, celebrate life, kindness towards others and warmth are common throughout the countries. That’s why Coco succeeded, not because it is set on Mexico. Also, they shouldn’t focus on immigrants, that is an important topic to discuss (and it should be addressed) but It is not what should represent Latinoamérica. 2) They have to address the current problematics of the countries. USA people are criticized here because the “yankification” of the social problems as we called it here in Argentina. Every social issue is looked through the view of people of USA and it doesn’t seems that they are trying to actually listen what latinos has to say. For example that they are called “americans” is deeply offensive but each time you want to explain why it feels that why you get attacked online. It might be tough for north americans to hear that but that’s the only way to solve those problems: listening and addressing them.
Every culture in the world believes that its people celebrate life, exhibit kindness to others and are "warm". Those are human values, not Latino values. And while I can see your point of view, Americans have been called Americans for more than three hundred years. It might be time to let that go.
@@simbahunter8894 look, I’ve lived in the USA for a while. I understand what you say but I guarantee you that in Latinamerica we give much more value to family. Really want to see Everything Everywhere All At Once but for whatever reason they're not releasing it in the UK. I have no idea why they're not pushing for a wider global release.
Hi Grace, I think it is important to note that there is a difference between Latino and Hispanic. Hispanic means that you come from a Spanish speaking country. So you can still very much still be white and be hispanic (Spanish people [people from Spain]), you can also be Latino and not hispanic (Brazilians). So I think sometimes capturing just hispanic data could not be as accurate as it could be bc alot of hispanic people can very much still very much have a white experience and there doesnt really speak that much to a diversity perspective. Latino by the way means that you are from Latin America, and yes you can still be Latino and white as well. Latino and Hispanic are ethnicities and not races unlike white, black, asian, which are races .Its kinda complex lmao
I saw Everything Everywhere All At Once and it was an EXPERIENCE. I absolutely love this film and want to see it again! My favorite film of the pandemic(that I’ve seen as I missed a lot of film in 2021)! I plan on seeing it again! I still need to go see The Lost City, Sonic 2, X, and The Batman again.
I can confirm seeing 'Everything Everywhere All At Once' a 2nd time is even better, since now u know how Evelyn/main character verse jumps. Everything else makes even more sense, since there are no rules with the way the multiverse and its various realities exist.
J.K. Rowling is sucking all the air out of the room? Really? How about Ezra Miller? The Johnny Depp firing situation? Ya think? Pick and choose your narrative, I guess.
I think people might want to prepare for Sonic 3, reason: When they show Amy`s design (the pink hedgehog) the internet will go nuts, and if they manage to put Rouge (the bat) or the absolute chad Shadow Sonic, the third one gonna open with 100million+ (expecting Carrey`s return)
I don’t think a lot of people understand how little most Latinos care about representation or “stories for us”. Just want entertainment- usually action / horror.
I don't agree, Coco was a huge hit in México, we just want an accurate portrayal of our cultures, La llorona taking place in the US is just weird, and it doesn't respect the original tale at all. I think Blue Beetle has the potential to become that next movie.
@@supermax64 I mean yes, but Mexico received it very well, even grandmas went to see it and it was the only topic of conversation in the general public for a month, that doesn’t happen with every other Disney animated movie here.
@@raflexonics - CoCo is not token representation. Talking about “adding Latino representation” to sonic to somehow reward or get Hispanics to see the next one is a reach for analyzing this situation. The point is, most of us don’t care about this representation, but want good movies. Llorona was not good, at all. The Marked Ones was like a 6th installment of a dying franchise. The average person will not go see a movie because there’s someone that looks like us in it. How strange would that be?
ugh its the funniest thing my theatre has a poster for everything everywhere all at once there showing previews for it and yet its not in my theatre showings list very sad
Of course it did. Audience says it all over critics. I think most of the critics including Grace don’t realize how important the Sonic Universe is to us Sonic Fans. And if they play their cards right with Sonic 3 its gonna be phenomenal especially with the introduction of a very lovable character. Not gonna give it away so go and watch the credit scene and u’ll see what I mean.
I just saw Everything Everywhere All At Once, and I honestly don't know how I'm supposed to enjoy another movie this year, because I can't see anything else comparing to it.
My wife and I loved Sonic 2 , it was really fun , and as someone who grew up with sega , there was so many wonderful Easter eggs and paying respect to the games. I hope Jim sticks around for at least sonic 3 I am enjoying seeing him back to the Jim Carrey I remember I grew up with in the 90s
Seeing Sonic 2 get this much love as a video game movie is such a win! I can’t imagine what’s gonna happen with Sonic 3 and Knuckles, or even the Mario movie!
Sega was big and had a massive presence in South America for decades. So if there’s loyalty that’s there in those demographics numbers. Great Stuff! Edit: for more information on that phenomenon, it’s best described with a video on a UA-cam channel called: Stop Skeletons From Fighting (about video game oddities) and their video about something called the Zeebo. The bulk of the video is about Sega in Brazil, and surrounding locations. If you want to know more about Sega’s relationship to that region and the people, that’s a pretty complete package.
I feel like Jim Carrey is way too creative to not be a writer, or at least lend ideas to a writer. I'd like him to expand on his creativeness in other ways if he chooses to quit acting.
Great job, Sonic fans. Im honestly happy this movie and franchise is doing so well. Alot of people wanted it to fail because the creators of the movie "caved" to the demands of the supposed "toxic fans" that twitter seems to pool everyone into who dare to disagree with a director's misguided vision. It seems the makers of these Sonic movies have been rewarded for giving the true Sonic fans what they want, which is how it should be. P.S. Grace, I went to see the movie with my nephews. No offended woman in sight after the flick had ended. Go figure...
I heard Ambulance was quite good action film and Gyllenhaal is class in whatever he’s in so it doesn’t shock me. It’s just Michael Bay, he burned a lot of fans with those transformer films
Is there a problem with The Last Kingdom? You did not mention it al all when in fact it is still after Bridgerton and it was first in the Nielsen list.
I don't really know or care what JK Rowling did to some fans all riled up. I didn't like it when the stars of the Fantastic Beasts movies got political at the SDCC so I skipped he 2nd movie and see no reason to see this one either.
"We're selling an experience" It's a line from WeCrashed! JL with an accent, no beard! Is this - "He's excellent in that show...He's great there!" award nomination standard? Then, the casual viewer should feel silly for not enjoying his past roles ? It's all Jared Leto charisma! ;D
I've never know a movie to have so much to overcome or controversies than Fantastic beasts. -Jonny Depp -JK Rowling -Ezra Miller -Dwindling rep from previous films -finally the thing that people might blame for a lack of success 🙄 having two leads of the movie that happen to be gay
I saw both Ambulance and Everything and there were about the same amount of people in both, around 8. Like my friend said about Ambulance, a big dumb action flick, I'm in. I thought it was pretty good. It is what it is and that's a good thing if you like that. I let him talk me into seeing it since I was going to go see Everything. We talked about seeing it next week. This morning though he calls me up and says hey you want to see that other movie. Just got back from that one. Crazy, crazy, crazy. All I could think about after watching it is what the heck is Dr. Strange going to be like when you add superheroes to this kind of story. It also reminded me of Sense 8 in a very good way, loved that show.
No Grace J.K Rowling isn't sucking all the air out of promoting the new Potter film, that would be all the idiots on twitter who can't face the facts of real life.
Sonic has a majority-Hispanic audience, and your takeaway, Grace, is that Sonic 3 needs more Hispanic representation? That's not the lesson here. The lesson is that people don't always *need* to see themselves on screen to connect with characters, and that turn-out proves it. My guess is that Hispanic people turned out in force because they like SONIC. Edit: You even just admitted yourself that when Hollywood tries to make horror movies for the Latino market, they underperform. That shows you: you can't pander to people based on identity and expect easy money. You have to make good movies, first and foremost.

I saw Fantastic Beasts 3 last weekend. I thought it was really good.
Wb will never restore the snydverse as it's consisted of every movie underperforming
Ambulance is actually one of Bay's best, imo right up there with the first transformers and armageddon
THAT'S A LOT OF GOLD RINGS!
I'm SO glad Turning Red didn't have a musical number. Not every animated film is a musical and shouldn't have to be.
Really want to see Everything Everywhere All At Once but for whatever reason they're not releasing it in the UK. I have no idea why they're not pushing for a wider global release.
Same here in Brazil, yesterday I was out and thinking on seeing it but it wasn't in the ticket app and they don't have a realese date here too.
I dont always agree with critics but Morbius was complete garbage. Word of mouth is def killing that movie 😬
Well, hopefully good word of mouth helps *Ambulance.* So more people go see it.
It really deserves it.
It doesn't disappoint!

@@fernygamer6985 ok thank you for the recommendation. I’ll check it out 😃
Hi Grace, I think it is important to note that there is a difference between Latino and Hispanic.
Please don't put more guilt on her lol, I mean thank the gods she didn't say Latinx at least!
I'm from Puerto Rico and just in this island we have all shades. From redheads to ultra dark. And it blows peoples minds sometimes.
@@Ruddline I wasnt saying it in a mean way I love her vids been watching for years now!
She puts Hispanic instead of latinx. Cause we don’t like latinx.
Thankyou for the clarification. We need more voices such as yours🙏🏾
Glad you’re reviewing Everything Everywhere All At Once! One of the best films I’ve ever seen - hope you like it
Girl, that Snyder cut fandom (spoken from a huge Zack fan) ‘toning it down’ ship sailed a LONG time ago. 🤣
No one wants to see shitty snydverse back except snyder fanboys
I saw Everything Everywhere All At Once and it was an EXPERIENCE. I absolutely love this film and want to see it again! My favorite film of the pandemic(that I’ve seen as I missed a lot of film in 2021)! I plan on seeing it again!
I still need to go see The Lost City, Sonic 2, X, and The Batman again.
Ambulance!!!!
Very good film.
🚑
I can confirm seeing 'Everything Everywhere All At Once' a 2nd time is even better, since now u know how Evelyn/main character verse jumps. Everything else makes even more sense, since there are no rules with the way the multiverse and its various realities exist.
I'm watching Fantastic Beasts this coming weekend with all of my family. Got my tickets already!
Maybe Hollywood can stop trying so hard to “Target” and just make good movies. And the ppl including Hispanics will come out to see the movie.
J.K. Rowling is sucking all the air out of the room? Really? How about Ezra Miller? The Johnny Depp firing situation? Ya think? Pick and choose your narrative, I guess.
My favorite this weekend was Ambulance.
The whole family enjoyed it! Congrats to all the actors and crew.
♥️♥️♥️♥️
I think people might want to prepare for Sonic 3, reason: When they show Amy`s design (the pink hedgehog) the internet will go nuts, and if they manage to put Rouge (the bat) or the absolute chad Shadow Sonic, the third one gonna open with 100million+ (expecting Carrey`s return)
I really liked Fantastic Beasts 3. Best one of the FB series so far. I hope it does well at the box office.
'EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE' IS STILL NOT OUT IN THE UK!!! *CRYING* Do you know any inside info Grace on the UK release? PLEASSEEEE
I don’t think a lot of people understand how little most Latinos care about representation or “stories for us”. Just want entertainment- usually action / horror.
Agree
Exactly!
I truly loved fantastic beasts. So emotional and magical. The love storyline is so well done. Absolutely loved this movie.
Im watching it with the fam next weekend. So excited!
ugh its the funniest thing my theatre has a poster for everything everywhere all at once there showing previews for it and yet its not in my theatre showings list very sad
Morbius has one of the highest second weekend drops for a Superhero movie.
Definitely want to see jim in sonic 3. I love how he portrays the character
SNK 👑 is adored in Latin America. 💖💖
Jim Carrey saying he would sue Will for 200 million didn’t really come across to me as sympathetic, at least to me
hope you would also check out the non-english list on Netflix top 10 chart XD
Sunday dinner and movie math is a combo meal for the family thanks as always Grace!!!
Aw that's so cool to hear! Hi to the family!
Ambulance 10 out 10.
🚑🚑🚑🚑🚑🚑🚑🚑🚑
I’ve seen Dumbledore this weekend. It’s probably the best of all 3 films so far. Thats where the focus should be.
I feel like Jim Carrey is way too creative to not be a writer, or at least lend ideas to a writer.
I'd like him to expand on his creativeness in other ways if he chooses to quit acting.
Loved that you mentioned Top Boy
Great job, Sonic fans. Im honestly happy this movie and franchise is doing so well. Alot of people wanted it to fail because the creators of the movie "caved" to the demands of the supposed "toxic fans" that twitter seems to pool everyone into who dare to disagree with a director's misguided vision. It seems the makers of these Sonic movies have been rewarded for giving the true Sonic fans what they want, which is how it should be.
P.S. Grace, I went to see the movie with my nephews. No offended woman in sight after the flick had ended. Go figure...
Latino here!
Used to watch Sonic X and play the Sega Collections and Sonic games! So nostalgic
I plan on seeing Dumbledore 2 and the northman and just seen everything everywhere at once
I heard Ambulance was quite good action film and Gyllenhaal is class in whatever he’s in so it doesn’t shock me. It’s just Michael Bay, he burned a lot of fans with those transformer films
Paramount's comeback story is one of the more uplifting ones of the pandemic era, and a strong sign that the theatrical business is on the rebound!
Is there a problem with The Last Kingdom? You did not mention it al all when in fact it is still after Bridgerton and it was first in the Nielsen list.
Watched Ambulance. Wasn't bad, but I did feel it could be waited for streaming by those who don't enjoy the movie going experience.
It's all Jared Leto charisma! ;D
11:35 "You get more flies with honey than vinegar." Ohh I've never heard that saying before.
I've never know a movie to have so much to overcome or controversies than Fantastic beasts.
-Jonny Depp
-JK Rowling
-Ezra Miller
-Dwindling rep from previous films
-finally the thing that people might blame for a lack of success 🙄 having two leads of the movie that happen to be gay
You liked Morbius Grace but it seems like people don't. The majority of the reviews outside of yours paint a less than stellar picture of the film.
Gonna be interested how Sonic 3 story works out. Gonna need to expand the cast a lot if they are doing a SA2 story.
What a fun weekend! I haven’t had to go out to the theater multiple times in a month in ages
I do hope they introduce Amy Rose and Rouge the Bat since both of them play a big role in Shadow’s story.
Jim Carrey "retiring" = great marketing strategy!!!! lol
I'm excited to hear your thoughts on Everything Everywhere All At Once. I loved it
A tron movie? They better bring back the two main characters from the last one . Olivia and flyn
A to the Meeen
What
Sonic has a majority-Hispanic audience, and your takeaway, Grace, is that Sonic 3 needs more Hispanic representation? That's not the lesson here. The lesson is that people don't always *need* to see themselves on screen to connect with characters, and that turn-out proves it. My guess is that Hispanic people turned out in force because they like SONIC.
Edit: You even just admitted yourself that when Hollywood tries to make horror movies for the Latino market, they underperform. That shows you: you can't pander to people based on identity and expect easy money. You have to make good movies, first and foremost.
Wish everyone else think and speak like you
@@ramlannazir6467 Thank you. That's very nice of you.
