Proclaimer: As the topic is one that occupies me a lot currently, I’ve added some links to this comment, including a self-synthesized audio fragment (from a non-commercial platform, with the purpose of demonstration & feedback). If that’s something that you do not like in the comments, tell me and I’ll remove em. -------------------- Thanks dude, was looking for this. At the moment I have this new interest (obsession?) to simulate Guitar sound (clean & electric) as a means to reproduce an instrumental song, purely synthetically (as a self-appointed exercise if you will). I think this is quite a different approach from what I did, but I like your results. So maybe I can fuse the 2 approaches in something even better xD. I’ve been going deep into the rabbit hole of synthesized sounds, and a.o. found a really helpful set of articles (20 y.o. but still relevant) that dives deep into the vibrational mechanics of guitars and how one could simulate that in a synth. E.g. the fact that you strum close to the bridge instead of dead-center, can be simulated with a pulse-wave with a 10-40ish % duty cycle, Or the effect of transverse waves of strings on the received pickup signal is reproduced with a comb filter. And so on: www.soundonsound.com/techniques/synthesizing-plucked-strings www.soundonsound.com/techniques/theoretical-acoustic-guitar-patch www.soundonsound.com/techniques/final-attempt-synthesize-guitars Because I am more proficient with it, I first tried clean guitar with a simple oldskool synth (Synth1 VST), to get the base sound done. But I really want to give Vital a go (as of yet only made 808 kick+drums with Vital) as it offers a lot more options of shaping your sound. [you can hear the results of my attempt at a clean guitar here if you're interested: drive.google.com/file/d/1QNwUod0KTkqEiYf9SYfZxzq4Q6bofPhA/view?usp=sharing] I wonder whether it sort of come across as a guitar. It unfortunately has the typical harpsichord quality to it. So any ideas on fixing that are most appreciated.^^ Oki, thanks again for the video, I am sure It’ll prove useful to me :D Cheers!
There are "presets" and there are "wavetables", they are in different places, you're probably looking for the wavetable in the presets. I also thought it wasn't in the free version at first.
Thank you this helped a ton! i am trying to recreate the lead/bass of "Do not disturb" from Lazerpunk x Max Brhon. I think this sound is even better or close to the best distorted guitars i've ever heard. I was thinking about finding the right wavetable but your hint was just perfect. MY recreation is still far away but on the right direction :) Btw, at second 52 the mentioned awesomeness starts :D ua-cam.com/video/IrBhi0xDm8Y/v-deo.html
Got a few years on ya bud - I'm 22. My stuff wasn't great at 14 either! Takes years of concentrated effort to get halfway decent. Glad you like my remix :)
YES, more VItal tutorials would be terrific. Thank you!
Thank You for the great tutorial. Much appreciated!
No problem, glad I could help!
my man that sounds better than most guitar players around me who can't even play a c major scale
nice but I was expecting you to make it without external plugins :) I need to know what that would sound like.
Just try it yourself, I did. All you need is a DAW of your choice, and Vital.
I always bought my guitar amps if I could play the guitar solo on "No Time" by the Guess Who. Now that I have an MPE keyboard, the goal is the same.
Make a tutorial on how to get that Synth lead tone for electric guitar
Wow, thank you so much for this tutorial!!!

Just great! Can you share this preset?
This dude made a half hour long video explaining his brain child synth patch and the top fucking comment is someone asking for the preset 😂😂😂
There some ppl too lazy
But does it djent?
can you do acoustic next pls
I have vital but no wavetables like you, where can I get them to follow this tutorial
Every wavetable he uses is included in the factory pack along with presets.
There are "presets" and there are "wavetables", they are in different places, you're probably looking for the wavetable in the presets. I also thought it wasn't in the free version at first.
Geez that was so simple do more Vital videos please

Anybody else having issues with the inharmonics part? I can't hear the effect for some reason
Bro nurko style lead tutorial in vital please 🙏❤️
Just follow along with my Serum Nurko lead tutorial! They're very similar synths, you can recreate it verbatim
