Very nice machine very impressive. It sounds as if there is to much friction on the splits as they exit the splitter a slight adjustment in the angle of the top plate might reduce the stress and strain on the box wedge
Great content bob. That entire machine is built strong. The key item that sold me on that box wedge design is the pinned in place box wedge. No drifting from the hydraulic cylinder fighting that enormous pressure. Because there isn’t a hydraulic cylinder to deal with. All wood through center of wedge is consistent all day long. The wedge being truly a box with a heavy plate on bottom as well as the top. No open bottom on wedge. The wedge design was built to last. Thanks WolfRidge
Darn nice machine. Watching different guys split rounds. Has anyone ever ripped off the back of the machine trying to split something they shouldn’t be splitting.
Dan, I subscribe to your channel. We will be running this awesome machine and hoping to post a few videos. Hopefully with BW, won't have to wrestle with big fir like you have to 7:05 do. Box wedge 4in and 12 way should be the right tool for NW.
Bob, WR team, can you double check if bronze slides need lubrication? I always thought that unless they are graphite plugged, they needed some lubricant. Unlike steel, bronze will micro absorb some so that you can reduce the feequency. Are the slides made of special self lubricating bronze?
@WilleysFirewood, May I ask what you don't like about your Allwood? It seems like they make a very good bunch of splitters just watching the videos. If I were to replace my splitter with another horizontal it would be either Allwood or Wolfe Ridge. Definitely Wolfe Ridge on the verticals. One of the other brands has scrambled trying to keep up with wolf ridge on the vertical machine. It strikes me as very funny and very complimentary to Wolfe Ridge having them do that. It should be illegal, but I guess you can copy anything that doesn't have a patent. Good for consumers but bad for the original designers of equipment that make a big impact in the market like Wolf Ridge did there.
@@gushoo6076 my Allwood is a great machine I just wish that it had the autocycle valves. It would make running the machine with one person much more efficient. I really like that the box wedge and traditional wedges can be swapped on and off the wolfridge as well. Mine is traditional knife setup only. No option for box wedge. Diesel is a much better option for longevity and fuel consumption as well.
@@WilleysFirewood Thank you. I was wondering if they looked better than they are somehow. Thankfully it seems they are very good like I was thinking. I appreciate your review and explanation a lot. Take care.
@@BeavertonFamilyFirewood That's exactly what it looks like.. the wood wants to bind making splitting much more difficult than it is. That's a beast of a machine ! Most impressive !

Thank you Wolfe Ridge team! Cant wait to run it! You guys are awesome!
Thank you for choosing Wolfe Ridge and welcome to the #WolfeRidgeFamily
That 35 SHO is a beast! Kubota sounded great on it. Well done Wolfe Ridge! Another great video Bob👊🏻

Thanks Bucket!
She’s a beast for sure. Nice color as well. Great video Bob
Nice looking machine guys and a beast too. Great job 👍👍
Great job Bob. I can see one of them in my yard in the future
Absolutely amazing! Can’t wait to order a new machine from you all. Keep up the great work!
Great looking machine 👍 It did a great job on seasoned oak rounds.
Nice well built machine. Definitely gonna need a conveyor to get the wood away.
That is a beast Bob,see ya this weekend
love the splitter but i really feel it should have a hydraulic wedge adjustment it is a production machine otherwise another great wolf ridge product
i agree
The 17 VSE is a great alternative for folks who prefer to split firewood in a shop or any enclosed building to stay out of the ☀️☔️❄️🌬️🥶
I was commenting on the 17 VSE video and somehow it ended up on the 35 SHO box wedge video, oops 😬
Beast mode!

Very nice machine
When you use the traditional wedges is the height of the splitting wedge able to be adjusted or is it in a fixed position on this model?
Don’t know how you can get any better than that. I mean, unless it was white and at my house!🤣 That 12 way is the ticket!👍🏻
Thanks Rod!
Hey that's a nice color. Lights are needed for towing.
Did you say this is going to be in Oregon??
Yes sir! Thanks Dan

Posting a follow up, Bob informed me that slides do have graphite in them.
How big of wood will split I get some 40 to50 inch stuff
Very cool Bob. I am definitely not faster with a axe!
Excellent machine! I think it’s time to try a different brand than my Allwood.

Nice machine...seems to be struggling at times with the wood.
Not at all
@@daveklein2826 Probably just the wood.... its not the best.
Also, fresh powder coat. I think once it wears out, it will shudder much less then it initially does. Another customer had similar issue

Seriously unplug a fan? When not in use?why aren’t the controls where they are handy?poorly thought out.
They are centered so you can run from either side of the machine. Definitely thought out, but thanks!
I think it only needs to be unplugged for long term storage. No issues leaving it plugged in for a week
