- i suppose to upload another version of this since day 1 of the release of DRG ss5, i could'nt stand my voice, it made me want to vomit so i bombed my entire project and start from scrap with a no commentary version. so you have to read (not sorry). this is after the 2nd patch (?) i think, have fun, im off. #rockandstone miners

1:48 HA is actually pretty good, it gives stubby another direct dps option, and the recoil gives it actually unique gameplay

Its decent ya. But i think generally EM Refire Booster still be a better option for direct damage. Oftenly players will select accurate/ upgrade when they couldnt handle recoil so damage is split out and would be the same as Refire Booster. I have tested both OC yes. On the other project that i scrapped, they're pretty much the same. Though the new one does slightly has more damage output!
@@nukeclearmuffin When it became possible to electrocute dreads, EM refire booster stubby became my fav weapon on elimination. It's more reliable than cycle overload and has alot more dmg to ammo ration. It has about the burst dmg per mag as 2/5 of a lead spray BRT7 mag. really consistant

FINALLY SOMEONE REALIZED THE CLUSTER GOT ACTIVATION NERF
I swear, it felt like I was getting gas lit by the world when no one I played with realized this and that the patch notes didn't mention it (also, wtf is with the contradictory last 2 lines of the patch note, buff the Crawler's burn and freeze threshold but then the next line says it reduces the freeze threshold?)
I felt like I was robbed the power of the world to destroy Hoxxes. Managment is always so stingy with their equipment quality. (It's an understandable action, sure. But it's a bit tough to fall out of that power trip)
You could so easily stack rockets and bomb the fuck out of anything with perfect timing, or bath yourself in bomblets to immediately rid yourself of any swarmers or even shockers. It was so liberating to just shoot 1 rocket and kill all swarmers bitting your ass.
me and my friend group does notice that rightaway since Cluster is pretty OP before its nerfed to the ground (we used it alot). and the recent patch, they nerfed it even more now so it's even more less fun to use. We used to rules the Hoxxies. we used to be a walking bomb.
you wanna be a walking bomb you take minelayer system. really, as soon as i saw how good cluster charges is i thought it just completely invalidates mines, but now with the nerf i wonder if it doesn't anymore

Scout has the most options for elemental damage after the Driller. Conductive thermals just needs you to play smarter.
That Rotary Overdrive clip is what I always feel like playing Gunner
with the instant cool down u can shoot it infinitely now
with always Agressive Venting trigger

fun fact: conductive thermals is bugged and resets the temperature scaling for dreadnoughts, making it not just possible, but easy to ignite them
pair with volatile bullets bulldog on gunner for funni results, trust
they not bugged. They have bonus for every hit (max 20 stack)
I believe you're confusing the plasma splash bug. Not entirely sure if it's a bug or not, but if one projectile hits an enemy with splash on, the splash will proc it, alongside the projectile itself
Update on cluster charges: activation time was denerfed and is great again. Also, how do you prefer build rotary overdrive? I fell like I’m always low on ammo with it.
I'd go for Accurate for perfect beam
Ammo upgrade for more Agressive venting trigger
Spin up time so i can fire faster without full spin
And Agressive Venting. Infinitely scare off boogs. Small one.
Conductive thermals allows you to reliably freeze drednoughts/detonator but even then marked for death or even just bullets of mercy would be better for them.
For Mortar Rounds i recommend 3 1 2 2 3 , this way you are more accurate and instantly reach the max ROF , therefor you always have the 50% damage resistance and at least deal a lot less damage to yourself.
For Goo Mix , it's good to know that the explosion doesn't damage dwarves (same for Cluster Charge) , and that Heavy Hitter (with no damage mod) is enough to set goo in fire with 2 hits only.

Fun fact, conductive thermals gives uo to 50% damage boost for the boomstick if you have the mod that lets you set bugs on fire.
Another funfact: Plasma splash allows you to apply 2 stack of the buff at once so you can get to maximum stack much faster

0:55 Nah, this was definitely overlooked as an OC. Pair it with plasma splash will get it to proc twice, and mag dumping a tiny bit into a glyphid dreadnought and a volatile + burning hell gunner around equals clearing it *very* quick.

@SimonWoodburyForget That's blatantly wrong. At most you compare the alternatives of overclocks, not whole ass guns. If I want to use the drak, I compare by overclocks. And *my* point is that the m1k has zero correlation when it's not being talked about.
Imma be honest, I absolutely love the Conductive Thermal for Drak.
Yes, you are looking to team up with a Cryo Driller, because you can relentlessly bully any and all Dreadnaughts, but it is also useful for Fire-focused Gunners/Engies/Drillers and Electric-focused Engies.
Don't sleep on it, it makes your role more akin to support, but it works really well.
I'd say it ends up being less versatileOC but it is definitely GOATED on Elimination missions and whenever you have lots of Praetorians/Oppressors.
This with cryo grenades and triple shots on the crosbow is extremely powerful
Guns i wouldnt really use like the autocannon and the goo gun have overclocks i really like the look of
conductive thermals let you freeze breeders with a single cryogrenade so it's an S-tier shining gem

@@SimonWoodburyForget judging by your comment you've never played drg on hazard more than 3. Breeder on hazard 5 & higher is annoying AF cause his jellyfishes kill you in like 3 seconds so freezing him is the scout's top priority as much as detecting cave leeches and freezing nexus
Cluster rockets also have the hidden property to cut your framerate in half when fragmenting 🎉💀

Fun tip for burning tide: You can squeeze out some flame before shooting another tide of flames at the last 25 fuel capacity to shoot 24 ish flame and 2 tide shots like the sludge pump

One of my favorite DRAK overclocks is shield battery booster. It's funny, cause I realized it's biggest weakness perfectly illustrates why conductive thermals is so bad: if you get hit with shield battery booster, you lose 33% of your damage, which is _exactly_ how much damage you lose for picking conductive thermals. Except instead of going from a decently strong weapon to base drak, you're going from base drak to a peashooter, lol.
I really wanna like the overclock, but the effect just isn't strong enough and direct damage is probably the worst downside it could get (feels like the most unstable "balanced" overclock in scout's kit)
Conductive Thermal is a supporter weapon. its pretty powerful if ya pair with element users on your team. especially Cryo, ya can freeze boss and Bulk in unter 2 seconds :p

@@nukeclearmuffin Yeah. It is really funny freezing big targets almost instantly, I just with the downsides didn't hurt so much. Like I wanna run it with cryo but you lose so much direct damage that it's not worth it unless you expect the rest of the team to finish off frozen bugs for you. And scout doesn't have much in his toolkit to deal big fire or shock damage either.

@@sireawfulthe1st291no its not "good", but if you want to use a full damage DRAK run it with all damage and cooling mods. avoid fall damage and friendly fire because all your damage depends on having max shields. take health over shields in your armor upgrades too
I personally think it's amazing because it passively cuts your shield regen delay significantly without you having to do anything, has a great ammo buff, and overall big damage. It's significantly better than before its buff@@sireawfulthe1st291
Try the SMRT Trigger OS with 2 1 1 1 2 and couple it with 1 1 1 2 2 inferno breach cutter, a real game changer.
I couple it with inferno breach cutter because even though RJ250 PGL is good, it doesn't ignite big enemies as fast as the inferno breach cutter. And with the macro lens upgrade on the LOK1 it is easier to land hits on weak spot.
noted noted! but i think since Breach Cutter is abit too powerful, trash/ smaller boogs are no longer an issue making Engi is Single Target focused and less spending ammo on smaller boogs, for me playthrough, i mainly focus my Engi for Crowd Control!
Hyperalloy is actually not bad. Its like ai stability engine on engi

Pump action turned engie from my least favorite class (and not hated, as I enjoy every class of the game) to my absolute favorite. Whenever I play warthog engie now, E1M1 plays on loop in my brain, and Hoxxes IV's entire ecosystem becomes very endangered - more than usual anyway.
I fkin love the devs for adding this OC.
People keep shittin on Scout's OCs, yet I would say they're good enough. Burst Fire is nice breath of fresh air, a good change of pace, after years of playing with AISE as accuracy option. Conductive Thermals is interesting concept and literally Slag element from Borderlands 2 (this game is GOAT). MFD was expected and also the OC that was appreciated, and it's great, expanding Focus Shot utility further (if you wanna do damage with Focus Shot - just use the ASS, EFS and SC).
These OCs might look weird and weaker, compared to the rest of the overclocks, but they're decent and could have potential, especially with right tweaks.
I've never used AI Stability. I use the Faster Firerate one. I feel slow using AI. So i didnt use it often. Brust rifle is funni. Still some trouble against big bois.
I don't like burst fire very much but the other two are goated for support
@@nukeclearmuffin Yeah, a bit weaker side, but big bois are not scout's main priority, so nothing to worry about. But I solved this problem with Double Barrel OC, pretty solid combination.
Hyper alloy gives stubby better ammo economy and comparable dps to emrefire provide that you don't miss. It is my fav oc for the stubby for now.
i'm one of the player that has worst ammo eco on Hoxxies not even 10 minutes i already spent nearly all ammo on boogs to hoard the most kill as possible.

that's not true, if the overclock is realy microsoft's overclock, it should have the below features:
automatically burn your weapon and cook your hands by scanning unneccessary files all over again randomly
unable to unequip, hence making that loadout slot useless forever
automatic fire on every friiendly creatures like game from studios that are too poor to get a developer
unable to fire when aiming on hostile malwares

Yes you can! I explained it in the pevious project that i scrapped away due to my horrifying voice that i could not stand during edits. That one would be a 12 minutes vid if i didnt scrap it!
You can use charge at 1 fuel. The lower your ammo count cap the better it is!
With the conductive thermals you can now light dreadnoughts on fire.
That new flamethrower Overclocks now double double duty.
it just cool down too fast. for dreadnaught. so gunners with VB oc need to take fire as soon as it lit on fire

Agressive venting so u can always trigger easier now. and full dps. with extra ammo upgrade, so u can loop back rightaway Agressive venting infinitely untill u out of Cooling on the mini gun

300% damage vs burning yes, but only issue are boss fight or Gunner has to use anything that lit on fire build, and with a Driller thats make the team of 3 yes. Fire Bolts OC works aswell but it's very under-use, i see players use Frost Bolts more often!

Honestly, I think Mortar Shells is good BECAUSE it finally gives ANY Good reason to take Friendly. You don't HAVE to take Friendly with it, obviously, but if you max out your AoE Modifications, it's going to be pretty hard to avoid hitting yourself of allies, and it CHUNKS shields, especially at higher haz
Wait what exactly changed with cluster charges? I recently failed 2 missions in a row with them eventhough i used to dominate with them but i thought i was just unlucky
They have nerfed activation timer on Cluster oc. You hold R to trigger yes? Thats slower now. They change from 0.1 to 0.8 trigger (R) delay.

when you promote 3 times on the first time you reached Red Star. the promotion after that it add 1 number and it's technically 4 Red Star
it adds up whenever you promote that same class! untill the number that you desired, my objective is 69

yes it was done Hz5 with 1 player scale. it would be more tankie if there's multiple players. still making a huge differents with Mark for Death!

It is aswell for multiplayer, i really regret scrappy the other project, i have issue where when listen to my self, does make me want to vomit. Pevious project are tested with friends. On many clips with Mark fo Death and Conductive Thermal
And yes. I'm a lone Dwarf, i do solo mostly!
Dude Hyperalloy ain't trash, I find myself melting bugs with it. You can consistantly 1 shot grunts in the face and chunk big bois like opperssors and praetorians.

Aggressive Venting is great to avoid boog to come into contact with your Dwarf skin
since you can use Coolant charge anytime, use it rightaway when Venting is happen to reset it and keep firing. and keep the boog at bay!
skipping over hyperalloy even though it's the best single target OC for stubby and deals insane damage for little downside

condutive thermals is crazy, you can nonstop temp shock bosses, ive done some kills on twins and burst one instantly before it shares health, its not bad in haz 5 and solo but everything kinda works in that difficulty, in haz5+ with modifiers its garbage but so its most of scouts kit and freeze in general

the game gives you options, choices are pretty open ended, you can still use alot of these overclocks in a vareity of content, you think burning hell is just for elmin? id assume not and you talking more about sludge blast

hmm, how are you calling conductive thermals (a situational but still occasionally effective and gimmicky overclock) trash, and hyperalloy (the stubby’s now 4th viable oc that makes it contend with EMR, an insane feat) trash, and not burst fire, arguably the worse overclock in the game that makes it worse than the base gun, even if they buffed the damage of this more it would just be a shitty m1k and still legions below AISE.
oh i like the brust fire. its pretty fun to use even tho it's abit weak. i've also gave Hyperalloy a re-try. the video already came out 30 min ago!

Love the video got me dying at Smart trigger, but I have to respectfully disagree on the hyper alloy oc for engi. It just finally fills that void of no raw damage of the stubby. The stubby always, for me, felt that I had to rely on turret em discharge or just throw on a clean and feel like I'm hitting enemies with pebbles. The over reliance on status on it or it feels worthless was my biggest reasons of avoiding it. Don't get me wrong. I love turret em discharge and the reworked turret arc, but it feels boring(?) in a way.
Tldr: Great video, but I really hope you give hyper alloy another chance.

EM Refire Booster is all an Offense OC i that i oftenly use. i'll give Hyperalloy Assembly a re-try on my next bit of video! alot of comments say so!
That Overclock is still supportive, it just adds some sort of offense utility, what I mean is an overclock that's *based* on offense.

I unlocked Lethal difficulty with only Bosco on my side... but DAMN! Even with a 3 star team, I still struggle to beat a lethal mission!🤬
I still need to settle on lvl 4 difficulty so I have a slight chance to get used to 5, but for now, I'm sticking to lvl 3.😰
My little brother did it all on multi-player mode, which was awesome for him, but when I need a revive, Noone could follow suit cuz they would die getting to me.🤬🤬🤬
It's better with Bosco by me side...🥰 he can be strapped with 4 revives, he does consistent damage with accuracy better than your grandpa in the war, he can shoot rockets AND he is unkillable, thus unstoppable!!! 😈

@evrimenustun9548 igniting Dreadnoughts is a pain in arse part, when you set it on fire completely, it cool down it self very fast. you'd have like a 0.7s reaction time to land a shot on it. i'll test it on the next bit of video and give HA oc another try! alot of comments want me to me give it another try
