Do you remember how the timing between the crankshaft gear and cam gear is set on reassembly? I replaced the rings in my GX22, but can't find a timing mark on the crank gear. There looks to be one on the cam gear but I am not sure what to line it up with.

@@JoelArseneaultUA-cam Thanks. I figured it out and the little motor is running great! for anyone else that runs into this, the cam lobe will kind of lock into place between the two valve rockers. If you move it in either direction, a cam rocker will push it back to the same spot. This is the TDC position for the cam. I replaced my piston rings and dropped the crank back down into the engine case being careful to keep the crank also at Top Dead Center. Engine now runs great!

How was it so easy to remove the crankshaft? Isn’t there a belt that should have been removed first?
I wished also you showed how to dismantle the valve area too as I’m working similarly on replacing the crank cases of 2 gx25’s. Thank you

In the video you made sufferance to make part 2 for assembly video. Can't find it.

the gx25 has these pressed rockers that unless you have a one ton arbor or hydraulic press makes dismantling it impossible, and even upon doing so, will destroy the rockers and you will have to replace them. So I'm going to have to use the jb weld after all.

Reason why I’m switching up the crankcase is because one of them has a crack. Do you think jb weld could patch it up or I should just try to put on the new crankcase ? Thank you

joel arseneault it fell from a high distance and ruptured the crankcase.

i have Gx 35 engine. oil is dripping at the air intake once the engine starts to run and couldn't hold revs. i was thinking it was a piston ring or something.. what do you think it could be?

I need help. My GX31 tiller engine keeps leaking a little bit of gas in the oil. I put a brand new carburetor gas lines. would it be because of a failed gasket?
