Got one yesterday and I was blown away with the quality and size. Able to get 120inch with my white wall and maybe even 200inch if I move some stuff around. I just couldn’t connect with my 4 year old soundbar Bluetooth katana sound blaster
Btw guys it should be normal white screen because its under 2000 lumens, I am trying to find C1 PRO on the blackdiamond screen, but this does not show the capabilities of C1 Global watch it on white screen nothing beats it
I like your review. Very complete and from the perspective of a real user. I was wondering if you can tell me how much I can move the picture vertically. I need to move it up 2 ft in my situation, and I have heard warnings that keystone will cause distracting grey bands around the edges. Did you get a chance to experiment with that?
To me the contrast, gamma, and black levels are really good. After the video shoot, I installed and paired it with a matte white 120" screen. The video was also shot on a matte white screen. You can also enhance the black levels by pairing it with a gray screen, but be careful not to use certain multi-layer screens because the projector's lasers will create "Laser sparkle" and it will be distracting on brighter content.
@@NewStuffTV1 Can you indicate whose multi-layer screens you are concerned about? About to buy a new 120 inch screen from the likes of screen innovations, stewart screen or elite screen. Your opinion would be appreciated.

Great video. I Have one and i am searching for the best screen to use with it. Been reading that in grey and CLR screens there is a lot of laser speckle. Can you confirm that? Have you use it on that Elite Screen you advertised? Thank you :)
Hi everyone, I'm about to purchase this projector and I would like some advice from you regarding the projection screen. The use will be exclusive for the cinema with a dark room, distance between sofa and cloth approximately 4 metres. Thank you all !!!!
Quick question , for a dedicated ht and a budget in this same price range . Does this beat all the other projectors like the 5050 ub, and the benq 4550i and even the new xgimi? Like which one would you get? I need it more for movies, I wouldn’t mind sometimes watching sports or playing games, I have the same elite screen matte white 1.1 gain
The benq and epson are both significantly more expensive. The xgimi it destroys simply due to black levels and color saturation. It's got better colors than either the epson or the benq, lower black floor than the 5050ub, and similar brightness. It's an upgrade from a 5050ub. I actually did so from a 6040ub. Most lifestyle projectors now hang with proper projectors. The main difference is optical zoom/shift which most lifestyle projectors forgo.
@@Luke-qs2cg got my Benq , couldn’t be happier lol I think I went over board on the research as I think this thing is perfect and the less then better black levels don’t matter to me since I don’t have others projectors to compare against, lol but still thanks for the help, you got me over the top on this one. I was at the border, waiting for someone to push me ober
Hello. Could someone please advise me? I own a LG PF1500g projector. I am happy with it overall but would like to upgrade to a new 4K projector. I am deciding on the Xgimi horizon Ultra and Hisense C1 as a replacement for my LG. With the Xgimi I like that it has optical zoom and with the Hisense C1 it has better blacks and better sharpness. Now the question is. My projection screen is a 110" Elite Screen white gain 1.1. The LG projector is mounted on the ceiling and 3.4m away from the screen. The problem is that Hisense will do a larger diagonal at that distance so I would have to (if it works) reduce the diagonal digitally there but I was told that I would lose sharpness and brightness as well. So please I would like to ask which of these projectors would be better than the one I have now? Please help me choose. Thank you very much for your early reply. Oh and I don't play games I only use the projector for movies. I only watch the projector in the evening and when the outside blinds are closed. Unfortunately the walls of the room are white :(
What is your long throw projector distance for 123 inch screen size or does it matter? Speaking to Elite right now about a purchase! I am fixed to 20 ft. on a bookshelf. I assume there is no light spakkle when in high mode? What does Hisense say about the life of the laser? Do they recommend starting at 75% like JVC and Sony for there laser projectors? (i.e. 2000 lumens is really 1500 lumens consistently to get 10 years out of it.) I need a quiet fan that Sony and JVC currently do not have for their fans in high mode and that is why I have not bought them yet to replace my Sony285es until they get this problem fixed. This Hisense C1 might be the solution I have been looking for!
The 123" screen sponsor segment is not the screen used with the C1. Using the C1 with an ALR screen will most likely produce laser sparkle. My advice is to use the C1 with a matte white screen would do the job. In the video and at home, I'm using an Elite Screens matte white material, and there is no laser sparkle.
@@NewStuffTV1 Thanks for the quick response. Most helpful! I have sent photos of my projector and current screen to Elite last week for advice/ recommendation. I should get their recommendation in the next few days. Again, what is the recommended throw distance for the C1?
my only issue with this is the optical zooming..we cant do long throw projection.for example 20' to 180 or 150 inches as most of us dont like the projector just behind our head near the couch...of middle of the room.

A report came out recently today regarding projector lamps and Laser TVs. The system wants everyone to go ahead and start purchasing and will be introduced to purchase laser TVs and Laser projectors. the big question at hand will always be what will you do when the laser starts to degrade fully and 100% how will a person be able to change the laser piece or in this case within the lamp or the structure of the light that gives the laser system . You won't be able to it will become deadweight.
@@Ted_adventurer that is the problem it will be all of the laser TVs and Laser projectors. You cannot change the light laser system. once it's slowly degrades over time.
