this looks amazing, I just have one question, before you did the crumb coat the layers looked uneven on the side but after the crumb coat it looked even and straight, when i try to do that it looks like disaster, do you have any tips for me?
Hey Aaliyah! If I'm about to do a crumb coat and I see I was off with the leveling, I just use the icing to compensate. It helps to get down at eye level and really take your time. My turntable does a lot of the work, so once I pile the icing on I will keep my spatula level and just turn the table. It can take a bit of practice, when I first started my cakes looked lumpy and saggy lol, but you get the hang of it eventually! I am still learning too!
Aaliyah To add to that, purchase a small level! Very cheap and you'll know that your cakes are level. When you are scraping icing off, you'll know that your sides are level when no icing comes off as you scrape.
