amazing job i love your professional job i live in morroco and i have a serious probleme with condensation did you put your fondant cakes in the fridge after you decorat them pleaaase help
Doesn't the candy melt seize when added water?
Beautiful! How do you avoid the brush strokes?
Thank you very much for sharing, these drip cakes have been the bane of my pastry chef existence! Until now. How do you clean your brushes?
Dish soap is the only thing that works for me to get the gold out
How long did you wait before you painted the drip gold ?
I wish it was a little slower, but thank you for your video. What is the size of your cake? Can the recipe for the ganache be doubled?
How did you get your heart so smooth?
Any vodka can be used ? Which one was that you use? Do you get that alcohol taste to it, thanks in advance 😊
Can you eat the gold stuff on the heart?
What can you use instead of vodka for the gold dust paint?
I'm sure there's a reason but can I just mix the Rolkem into the chocolate
Do you let your cakes sit at room temperature or in the fridge to thaw them and then torte into layers?
+Aisha Wilson I prefer the fridge. Much easier to cut
Candy melts will be melted in hot day????
no one speak about fondant and condensation can you make a video about these it will be sooooo helpful for many people soryyy my bad english
Condensation does not hurt the cake
why did you use water instead heavy whipping cream to melt the chocolate?
because its not chocolate.. its candy melts.
Because I wanted to show that you don't have to use cream
But we can use cream if we want to right ?
If you use cream The mix will be thick not same consistence
Artisan Cake Company does the candy melt get hard when it Dries?
what's the name of the song you used?
love is by sue verran 😉
Why do you mix vodka with the dust? Great video going to recreate tomorrow (fingers crossed it goes well).
+Louise Murphy If you just tried to brush on the dust it would get everywhere. The vodka makes it into a nice paint and then evaporates, leaving nothing but dust behind without the mess
+Artisan Cake Company Deadly! I don't drink so when I go down to the shop to get a naggin (small bottle) of vodka everyone is going to be so shock lol Thank you so much for replying, also a big Hello from Ireland.

Can there be an alternative to Vodka for the golden paint?
i use extracts with alcohol like lemon, strawberry or almond
you have to use something with alcohol because it evaporates faster...it doesn't get the cake or whatever your painting too wet
I like your
chocolate + water?
Why do I feel like I saw this exact video already?
+Salma Mostafa Looks like it was recorded from a TV or screen--it has those like "waves" going throughout and it's sort of tilted.
+Salma Mostafa I deleted the promo video and put up the full tutorial instead of linking to my website
+Austin Dayacap Those are from my lights. I didn't record a tv. Sigh
I see, okay!
+Salma Mostafa
thats because you have...mwahahahahaaaaa!!
coolio c:
Substitute for Alcohol pls?
Is there any other alternatives to using alcohol with the gold dust?
+Sweetwise I am not sure if there is. I'm not sure of the reason you wouldn't want to use it (too young, can't get it, or you do not drink) but she uses alcohol because it evaporates faster off of the cake.
+Sweetwise lemon extract but it does not work as well
+Bree D moslems dont drink alcohol~
oh ok. If it is because of your religion I am not sure of any alternatives. If it just because of preference you can do as she said and use lemon extract. If I am not mistaken all, or most, extracts have alcohol in them. But, as she said it will not work as well as alcohol, as there are additional thing in extract other that just alcohol, this would make it evaporate slower... That is also something you may want to think about, the alcohol is going to evaporate off of the cake so you won't necessarily be drinking it. I bought airplane shots of vodka for a little over $1 to use just for things like this. Sorry this message was so long I was trying to give alternatives and some explanations.
wow! thank you so much +Bree D. So kind of you~
hmmm. I thought water would make it seize up?
+thompson lorrie As you can see, it doesn't :) We are making ganache, not melted chocolate. Technically ALL ganache has water in it. That is what 99% of cream is
water does make your chocolate seize up if it's not in the right amount and hot enough....and the "chocolate" used in the video is candy melts so...
+21dancingcupcakesLIFE Not when you're making ganache. Which is what we're making. What do you think cream is made of? You can make ganache with water, milk, wine, anything. As long as the chocolate is melted and the liquids are warm.
I do beloeve that was a very rude comment. As i also was told you couldn't use water in candy melts. Shesh
Isnt the gold luster non edible? How do u avoid eating it if this cake was cut? Lol
Lena Ngo, Rolkem metallics contain real metals and are not considered edible in the US, as the FDA has not approved the use of real metals as additives to food.
Luster dust is made for cake decorating so its edible :)
The real answer is that the gold is non-toxic (like a crayon) and considered non-edible by the FDA because it has no nutritional value. It has no taste and no affect on the body (passes through). So if you ate it, it wouldn't hurt you (like if you ate a crayon).
Hottttttt
