Thanks for being a fresh breath of air in female UA-cam music instruments presenters: there's too few of you, and there's so many potential new musicians turned off by the general all-male presenters/channels. You (and Megan from PMT) do important work, especially for the "just beginning, down to earth" crowd and getting them hooked on playing. :D After eyeballing the Ibanez SR300EB's and the Orange Crush Bass 100 (and that brand-new Boss Katana was also considered) for a year and a half, your Sound Like Iron Maiden video pushed me to finally order my first bass and combo. (What with having just seen the Talman as a cheap, workable Fender PJ alternative earlier that very same day, and how you explained/confirmed how the active Ibanez and that Crush Bass 50 ment you didn't need compressors/pedals.) So cool to see you shred a SR300E here! :D (Because it frequently ends up being the best budget brand-name all-arounder bass alternative anyways.)
Met Dave and Cici in person and they are two of the most lovely people. Their energy on screen is great and credit to them for how tight they played together in this video.
@@bobblake7132 Mr. Bob! I may have just become negligent in my perusal of Mr. Dave's comments or he's just (at long last) become so popular the old familiar names get lost in the milieu... either way, I hope you're well friend.

Greet job guys, surprised it took Rammstein so long to be featured 😂 Adored Rammstein since my early teens, loved their tone through the years. Kings of effectiveness.
I just wanted to say how much I'm enjoying these 'Sound Like...' videos with you two. Its great having a bass and 6 string, and you are so much more entertaining, and informative than the older ones.. Thanks for explaining everything, as a new bassist it really helps :)
Great stuff! :D Oh, and I saw Rammstein live back in 2002 (Quart-festivalen, southern Norway -- Hoobastank and Satyricon had that stage earlier in the day)... bought the Rammstein hoodie... a couple of years later, at my first job, after wearing that sweater to work frequently, for over a month -- one of my much-older same-office graphic designer collegues (at the desk next to me) looked at my sweater during a coffee break, and went "Rammstein... yeah... I saw them once, back in late august '98, I was on vacation in Germany and there was to be this big show some towns away and we went there... It was recorded..." "You're telling me you actually went to the Live Aus Berlin shows?!" "Yeah, it was quite cool."
I saw Rammstein live in Glasgow in 2005 and never got over it. Incredible gig, never felt the bass punching me in the chest like that before or since. Also these videos do a great job of making me want to visit the shop as opposed to ordering online. Looks like a great place.
Yeah, was a good gig that! Also saw them in Newcastle on the Made In Germany tour which was probably the most epic gig I've been to... the band entrance alone probably cost more than most band's entire shows 😀
Your both keepers for Anderson's. You guy's prove that genius and insanity are a very thin line. Always enjoy your test drives and insights, watching for your NEXT.
I do love seeing Dave on here, being a friend in the real world it really is what you see is what you get, a fantastic player heart on his sleeve sort of chap. May the goods keep going dude!!
He’s been one of my favorite youtubers and guitarists for years. The amount of dedication he puts into his channel is immense. So glad to see things working out positively for him, he more than deserves it!
not even two minutes in and already impressed...! That German pronounciation was way better than i would ever expect to hear on this channel and in general a very good pronounciation!
I went to see Rammstein in Cardiff! Awesome gig! Even the fire brigade was called out by some outside Cardiff Arena as the flames lifted up out of Arena. Unfortunately they’re not coming back in to the U.K. in 2023! Drat!

Absolutely brilliant! You two are absolutely on it. A fantastic watch even though I have to admit with embarrassment that I know very little about Rammstein.
Lol youtube played this video automatically as my next suggestion. In the beginning I was like "what is going on on the Andertons channel, why are they talking German?". I'm German and I've heard worse before, so good job! Also, the interview of Paul Landers when he got his signature Gibson Les Paul is quite funny, it's on yt :)
Loved the video. I actually have those same style bass and guitar. My viper I put EMG's in. My Ibanez bass nearly has too many gadgets on it. I'm a bit of a simplest in that nature. I'm old though, well older. I love my Maiden and Priest!!!
I think going for EMG pickups would have brought you closer to a Rammstein tone. Guitar tone is bit off in my opinion. Bass sounds alright but bass with Rammstein is something you must experience in the room. I saw them live this year too and the low end is so massive yet it's such a clean tone, not boomy or anything like that. As a bass player I was totally blown away by the bass tone over the PA. And during your excerpts I really realized how important drums are for Rammstein songs.😅
Hi i´m from Germany and i play Guitar for almost 25 years now. Here´s my friendly lesson. It depends on with guitar you use, but overall: Guitar: Mesa Boogie Recto or Diezel VH4 Mids almost none. The newer LP´s have more mids. Bass on 3 o´clock. Treble on 10-11 o´clock. Full resonance. "You need the pump that the mesa boogie Recto Amps do" Presence 1-2 o´clock.
Is this the first of the new Sound Like that isn't a repeat of a previous artists tone? Good! About damn time that these two are gifted with the ability to be judge on their own merits as apposed to in comparison. Also very glad to see they actually have a budget, though it is odd, given price inflation on all gear, that the budget has gone down. 1000 does feel more newcomer friendly in 2022 than the almost intermediate/pub player level of 1500 was a scant few years ago.
Great episode, love rammstein. Would be really fun to see rammstein not on a budget. Love this series, but this time i dont think the guitar part was that close. Maaybe maybe their first album got a bit of that guitar sound, but it sounded more like a punkband covering a rammstein song. Not nearly as heavy and compact as either paul or richard
Probably my first ever metal concert was rammstein at the apollo manchester. Great to see them getting some love. Also sonne is one of the best music videos ever
This was awesome, definitely sounds great and I loved the outfits they used during the sound-alikes which was a nice touch, also here are some other bands I'd love to see Dave and Cici take on - Dream Theater (John Petrucci/John Myung) - System of a Down (Daron Malakian/Shavo Odadjian - I'm aware that SOAD has already been done and it's one of my favourite Sound Likes but while I absolutely love Daron's playing you can't have System without Shavo's massive bass tone and this time they could also add n some of their newer songs like Protect the Land and Genocidal Humanoidz) - Stray Cats (Brian Setzer/Lee Rocker - that one might be interesting in terms of bass) - Primus (Larry LaLonde/Les Claypool) - K-On! (Yui Hirasawa/Mio Akiyama - I know that this is a suggestion from an anime but the music from that series is awesome and the guitar and bass work in it is absolutely insane) - Aerosmith (Joe Perry/Tom Hamilton) - Nirvana (Kurt Cobain/Krist Novoselic) - The Clash (Mick Jones/Joe Strummer/Paul Simonon)
In true Ibanez fashion, it's basically a bar code on in it. I KNOW RIGHT. Whenever someone askes me which Ibby I own I'm like errr...some extended scale thingy guitar which I really dig. Funky names aside, loved this!

I know that stock may have been a factor but I would have used the new 5150 combo and spent slightly less on the guitar. I think that the Rammstein tone needs valve. However, thank you so much for douhaste! I was waiting so patiently

That was actually pretty good german in the Intro, well done
The best way to sound like rammstein is the tech 21 paul landers signature fly rig pedal. Basically the rammstein amp sound in a box
Well, it's his part of the sound. They only sound so massive because Richard complements it with his Mesa Boogies (or vice verca).

Balancing out the inflation a bit is that in the last few years there's been a real explosion of quality in the £300-500 range for guitars.
Love these two, great vid! Also a Rammstein fan, seen them twice, once at the Brixton Academy, insane to see on a small stage and also at the O2!
