@@TonyOG100 - It's not that we don't respect the public. I don't have the budgets to hire more staff (salary, benefits, etc), additional tools, additional insurance, lift space and the list goes on to support doing work on outside vehicles. For now we are doing as much as we possibly can without killing ourselves to provide you with wholesome, FREE family oriented content. Not sure how that's disrespecting the public......

I kinda suspected it was going to Ricky Jr when they revealed the color of the wrap! It was very similar to the color of the Neon!

The way you look after your employees by giving this car to one, 2 dream builds along with a lot of other little things is reason why you don't seem to have a high change over of staff. This also shows they are willing to do the extras when needed, plus the work culture you look to have has to be genuine as you can't fake that

First thing you need to do Anthony is change timing belt on that thing if it hasn't already been done as part of the tune up.
The svt/ST170 is an interference motor and will likely bend a valve or two if that belt goes.
Best mod if you can swing it eventually would be a Quaife differential at some point.

I never liked ford FWD till I purchased a 2012 Transit connect Van. The Duratec Engine Family blew me away with its reliability, didn’t use a drop of oil, was extremely reliable and not one issue engine or sensor related for 175k miles when I sold it. I put most of those miles on over 5 years of ownership.
Wow. I would be so happy to own that car. SO LUCKY.
Those cars are A+ but sadly people don't talk about them in this country.

I had a 2003 SVT Focus, it was one of my 1st cars back in 2005/2006. Amazing car. Miss that car still to this day. Enjoy it!

My first Throtl video I ever viewed was Anthony's Neon build with his father which was an amazing video and turned me onto this channel and I subscribed afterwards. Then seeing this as my second video and hearing about Anthony's Neon taking a dump was heartbreaking but then gifting the SVT Focus to Anthony was so wholesome. Anthony's smile said it all!

Back then I bought a Liquid Grey metallic 2003 Mach Audio edition ZTS Focus sedan 5spd with a similar look to this one with silvery 6 Shooter wheels. I riced it out with Wings West kit, and all the NFS Underground fixins minus any real NOS and retaining factory spoiler. I loved that car, handled great, looked great. Some of the best steering feel I've ever felt. The First gen Focus looked like a granny car stock, but what a great tuner chassis it was to drive. I later test drove the automotive divinity that is the 8th gen Si and traded it in for the Si in 2010 that I still own to this day.

If you can find a pair of EAP (European appearance package) lights those will be the period correct HID lights for the car and really set off the LED fogs you guys installed.
The other chase would be the black reacaro interior and door cards but that’s rare option people mostly didn’t take on all other colors except competition orange and screaming yellow.
This car hits a soft spot in my heart because my best friend still has his and loves that car dearly. It’s his first car and his dad bought it for him, taught him how to drive manual in it, so when he passed away he signed it over to him and it’s been a labor of love ever since. I definitely want one for myself, one day!

This is why i love this channel!! You guys honestly think of everyone and it's effortless for you !! Anthony had no idea what so ever and for weeks on end as well...that being said he should swap the 2.4L turbo srt4 motor into the neon now that we know it siezed up on him!! Bur nonw the less the svt focus is a solid caf my buddy had one raced my srt4 and kept up most of the time lol 😆 but anyway keep this content up I can't wait to see what you guys do next!! Always awesome supporting you guys

I love it! One thing I can recommend is just make sure you do the timing belt as soon as possible. If you don't know when it been done these cars are picky about it. There's a guy on EBAY who retrofits the proper 2 pound tensioner it's called 5 Acre Focus. Make sure you use the proper tensioner for the timing belt not the regular zetec.
I love the way you guys make sure your employees are taken care of. As a representative of your shop each employee drives a representation of what kind of work you guys are capable of and beyond. I think the way each of you show your appreciation for each other makes for a great environment to work in which in turns makes for a better product and we know that you guys as I always say put out badass products each and every time. I really really hope that Ricky and Anthony keep going with the focus and put a rs style wing on it and do some more cleaning up and paint matching everything with grey or black or something and maybe a lip kit or some more performance/reliability mods

Timing belt as some have mentioned. You need to find an OEM tensioner or source a spring. These have a 2lb spring, the regular zetec is 1lb.

I used to have a 2005 Ford Focus ZX5 SES trim level in light green. It was fun to drive for a little car. I have a neighbor that has a 2002 Ford Focus sedan SE trim level. I even did looked inside of her car. I think that she forgot that I had a Focus in a different body style.
