People were making habit of doing customs out of routine, rather than out of their heart posture and using it to over police and commdem people over the smallest things that the Torah doesn't heed into and place their own spin on the matter. THAT is the type of religion Jesus came to abolish.
That is correct that Jesus came to correct the false teachers, however he was not trying to abolish "religion" in the sense of religion as a faith/ set of beliefs. If we buy into the concept that Jesus was "anti-religious," that gives progressives a foothold on demolishing the 1st Amendment, because they make all sorts of derogatory claims about "religion".

Brandon Robertson needs to actually study the Bible. There are references in the first three Gospels that show Jesus is God. The greatest is in Mark 14:55-65. I know he does not want this to be true because he left out John which is all about Jesus being God in the flesh. Also, the Bible shows the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit as one throughout. 1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. By the way, I am passionate about defending the Bible and the fact that there is one God consisting of three - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus is God no matter what others claim. Jesus is come in the flesh, Jesus is Lord. I will not back down from God's Word!
(Words of Jesus): And that slave who knew his master’s will and did not get ready or act in accord with his will, will receive many lashes. Luke 12:47-49
@R1sky it is a parable for slaves to always be on alert and if they do not do what the master wishes they are beaten. There are also verses in the Old Testament that talk about owning and beating slaves. Even Paul says to obey your masters even the cruel ones.
@R1sky So a slave being beaten if he does not do what the master wants is a parable for the Jesus's return? Funny. You also do know that there are multiple verses in Matthew in Jesus's words that say he will return before all his disciples had died or before his followers had gone through all the towns in Israel. According to criteria for false prophets in the Old Testament Jesus was one.
@R1sky When you are persecuted in one place, flee to another. Truly I tell you, you will not finish going through the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes. Matthew 10:23 “Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.” Matthew 16:28 Jesus and the people of his time thought the end of the world was imminent. Some apologetics say that these verses are referring the destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD. I don't think that holds water. It clearly says that Jesu would come before these things happen. In all likelihood Jesus was some apocalyptic prophet that got a following and then was killed when he threatened the social order and/or caused trouble. Then his followers deified him. Given the authors of the gospels are anonymous we have no idea if these stories are true or if they were made up.
@R1sky It says "some of them will not see death before they see him coming in his kingdom. That implies that most of them will have already died. Did any disciples die before Jesus was supposedly resurrection? No. So it is not talking about the resurrection. The other verse is about going through the towns of Israel spreading the news of Jesus. This did not happen until after the supposed resurrection. If it was talking about the resurrection they would not have been able to spread any news in the 3 days before he supposedly rose from the dead. Also what news would they be spreading. News that Jesus had died? Of course Jesus was a real person. However real people also have untrue stories created about them. For example, Muhammed was a real person. However he did not receive revelation from Gabriel about Allah and when he died he was not taken up on a horse to heaven like Islam teaches. Lastly there is not evidence that Jesus was resurrected. There are only claims in the Gospels. There are no contemporary accounts of the life of Jesus or his actions. All we have are the Gospels written by anonymous sources, the writings of Paul who did not even know Jesus, and the writings of Tacitus and Josephus that talk about some guy named Christ. You would think that if this man was the literal Son of God it would have been way more documented and without any kind of doubt. In all likelihood Jesus was a crazy apocalyptic preacher who claimed to be God, caused problems in the area with him and his followers, and was killed. The Jews reject him as a Messiah because they see that he doesn't fulfill the characteristics of what their Messiah would be. You would think that if this man was the literal Son of God whoever wrote the Gospels wouldn't have waited 30-40 years to do it? I am an Ex-Christian that looked into the evidence for all this and saw how lacking it was. Look at Christianity with the same critical eye as other religions.
I agree but I think the argument against Paul being a false prophet is weak, since it's Paul himself who Todd is quoting as a proof that Paul's word is inspired by the Holy Spirit.

The problem is that someone refuting Paul and\or the Gospel of John will not accept scripture from the same sources they refute. Until then, they are blinded by the prince of this world.

And I'm sure he has many x many followers who believe everything he says. I was desperate (to no ends) in finding as much arsenal to defend me and the "gay Christian". I do pray for those I'm longer friends with (both straight and gay) and I pray 🙏 for all who are living the lifestyle. I am so very grateful for many things, but when God drew me in for the last time, it was as easy as when Matthew walked away from his profession. It was cold turkey for me... and the weight, the guilt of it being lifted off my shoulders was an amazing relief. I had it backwards for decades.... Turning to God, accepting Christ was the easy part. The walk is not always smooth, but it's very doable. The more I stay connected, the more I pray, the more I read & study the word... I just watched a video about John Macarthur and Ben Shapiro on this channel in which they were praising Shapiro over and over.... But Shapiro is on record as saying the resurrection of Christ is 'uninteresting'. Yet we cannot comment on that because the comments are turned off on that video... how interesting....
LOVE VIDEOS LIKE THIS! Really helps me defend and refute. THANK YOU!
😯 Where do you find these weirdos? 😂
Absolutely love the enthusiasm and emphasis on the word, “all!!!”

today in Ezekiel 46 I read an interesting verse that probably wasn't intended to justify political views but made me think of your explanation of the 10th com. as being pro private property. "18 The prince shall not take any of the inheritance of the people, thrusting them out of their property. He shall give his sons their inheritance out of his own property, so that none of my people shall be scattered from his property.”
Verse of the day:
John 10:27
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me
Are you one of his sheep?
Here is my verse of the day.....Kings 2:23 Then he went up from there to Bethel; and as he was going up the road, some youths came from the city and mocked him, and said to him, “Go up, you bald head! Go up, you bald head!” So he turned around and looked at them, and pronounced a curse on them in the name of the Lord. And two female bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths.

There is no such thing as the Devil. No hell and no judgment either. You Christians are all wrapped up in fear and oppression.
Wonderful.
Sadly, the progressives in my life don’t care about scripture.😞
But this reminds me to plant the seeds of scripture when I can.
God bless you brother, and may He bless this channel always in Jesus Name 🙌🏻♥️ this video is extremely informative, thank you for making this! There are so many wolves in the world today, people need to read and show themselves approved!
Great stuff. Never heard the first argument about the coveting law assuming that everyone has their own private property, but that’s 100% spot on. After hearing that, I can now see the assumption of private property all over the law, like stealing, for instance. How could we steal something if it doesn’t belong to someone else? Thank you for these insights!
Hi Daniel - thank you for watching!

The late Tim Keller promoted this idea with the Gospel, or should I say his gospel. 😕
This makes me realize how true and important it is to have correct theology in the church bc there's ALL KINDS of false teaching out there! Thanks Todd and crew, grateful for you.
Brother Todd, you are incredible. Thank God for you - exactly the way you are!

If Jesus did not come to die for our sins, then why did he have to die such a painful death?
reading the bible more is the only way to overcome these kinds of traps
I'm so taken by your teaching and your evangelism. Well done. I have to go and Google search your name now as I only know you as "Wretched." Thank you for pointing out the affirming tools that our Heavenly Father has provided us to not only affirm our own faith but to help give direction to others.

"All, I looked it up. It comes from a Greek word meaning... ALL." How often I need to be reminded of this truth.
notice how not a single one of them quoted the bible to defend their point they just asserted what their were saying as if it was true without even trying to back it up
While I agree with just about everything, that Jeff Bethke snippet was out of context.

It's easy, there's a total split between liberal and conservative protestant churches.Example the World council of Churches and the SBC,to name two widely conflicting religious viewpoints.
Both protestant however Episcopalian being OK, with homosexual marriage, this being an extreme liberal viewpoint.

Jesus is such a great God ❤️✝️🙏🏾
Matthew 10:23
“Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.” Matthew 16:28
Jesus and the people of his time thought the end of the world was imminent.
Paul was commissioned by Jesus Himself to write his,Pauls, epistles, about half of the New Testament.
You have an error in your video. Number 6 is not a Woke Progressive Belief. Arian Christianity was not invented by the left. Not sure how you managed to mention Arius but somehow still managed to confuse Arianism with leftism.

Did you intentionally placed the audio on the LEFT for this video?😂
Thank you Todd for making these types of videos, shows a lot of people that need to be taught the right way, we will keep on praying for them.
So many different Christian channels have refuted these sorts of folks numerous times. Mike Winger, Tim Barnett of Red Pen Logic, Erik of Testify, Michael Jones of InspiringPhilosophy, and that's just to name a few amongst yourself, Mr. Friel. Glad that you've gotten in the game with this video.

Not that I disagree with you, but I wish you would quote more of the verses you reference. It doesn't look good for you, especially to someone that disagrees, when you simply refer to the verse rather than quote it. That aside, love the work you do.
The problem is that someone refuting Paul and\or the Gospel of John will not accept scripture from the same sources they refute. They are wrong, of course, but since scripture is spiritually discerned, then they need to be saved before they will believe the whole of scripture. Until then, they are blinded by the prince of this world.
I’m watching this video on headphones and all of Todd’s talking is muted on the right side.

I do agree with you on theae points, but PLEASE ... you're arguments are so terribly flawed...
2nd Timothy cannot talk about the new testament books, since the books weren't even written then and cannot be counted scripture in the usage of 2nd Timothy.
He talked about Jesus claiming to be god in the SYNOPTIC gospels and you came along thought that it would be a good idea to quote JOHN two times? Seriously?
It's so easy to debunk the claim with the synoptics, so please...

@@TB4Jesus247 Christianity and all the other man made religions are just oppressive dogma. I was a christian for 10 years and it was the worse ten years of my life. All I saw in the church was oppression, judgment, self righteousness and hypocrisy. I could go to a pub anywhere in the world and meet more sincere, genuine and loving people there. The only reason most people are christians is due entirely to what country they were born in and/or who there parents were. Born in the U.S. Christian, born in India Muslim, born in China Hindu and on and on. I do believe in a god but not a god of chance. The god I believe in is for everyone. I say you are lost because you are attached to 2000 year old scribes that have been changed over and over throughout the years. People these days are more apt to believe eyewitness testimonies regarding NDE's and that sort of thing. The whole planet is waking up to this reality and it is people like you who are lost in a religion that was clearly made up by man.
The Devil's greatest trick was convincing the world he doesn't exist🤷♂️.🤷♂️ We can take this literally. But it also means to me that people can read the scriptures and actually say they're not scriptures. I would have to say they're insane. We need to help these people.🤷♂️
Thanks for holding Gods word up!
Mr Friel, this was an excellent teaching video: we support scripture with other scriptures.
All of these false teachers have an idolatry problem. They are willing to twist, re-write, analyze, add or subtract from the Word of God to suit themselves and continue to sin. They are also blasphemers, since they dishonor the Lord by dragging down His name and character.
Excellent! and great humor too.
Thanks for watching, commenting, and subscribing, Joyce!!

Thank you Todd for your channel! I have grown to love your unique approach to teaching truth!!
As for Mr. Robertson.... I'm so glad his videos have not entered me YT feed.
But
If they do, I know what to do.
I have a long way to go (as many Christians can/may say).... But the theology that comes out of his mouth are just ridiculous!
If I remember.... Isn't he gay??
Walking away from that lifestyle myself, I do not want to judge him.
I can agree with others that his teachings are full on heresy.
I'm grounded more & more each day with God and with Jesus.
The audio is gone.
"Good morning heathens!" I wonder how many teachers have felt like that through the years lol
