The ladys , did more for him then anyone ever had.
They just need the men to move aside, and let them show there light .
As they shine under pressure ,
    Nothing is possible without them

Martha was DISTRACTED? No, Martha had ALL the responsibilities and burden on HER shoulders, she had to do ALL the work BY herself because Mary wouldnt HELP her! Martha probably DID want to sit at Jesus's feet TOO! Martha would have LOVED to sit at Jesus's feet also instead of doing ALL the work and have ALL the responsibility and burden herself to prepare food and feed everyone. Lucky Mary. God gave Mary the best part. God blessed Mary! But God gave Martha burden and responsibility! If Martha was so fortunate to also be able to sit at Jesus's feet than no one is going to eat and be nourished. So guess none of us should be responsible. Wouldn't it be so nice for ALL of us to take no responsibility to feed and care for our families and just spend all our time worshipping Jesus. We ALL want to be like Mary! Sorry but I get a different message here. I see that some of us get the burden and responsibly and some of us are blessed to not have burden and responsibility in our life. Some of us are blessed by God to BE ABLE to have a burden free, carefree life and be FREE to worship Jesus. Oh how blessed the Mary's are by GOD. So my Mom is 96 who needs care. I have a sister and a brother who take zero responsibly to help ME care for our Mom. I have ALL the burden and responsibility. I have NO life. I should be able to enjoy my life, read and study my bible, but NO, all of my time is on caring for our mother, while my sister and brother get the BEST part! They get to enjoy their lives while I have all the contant worry, responsibility and burden to care for our mother. Yes, THEY got the BEST part! I got the burden. Jesus is saying, Mary is blessed, she gets the best part. Martha you are burdened. That's YOUR lot in life. Deal with it!

Jesus affirmed what mattered to Him because He was not there for a feast, I have had people missing the church as they walk up and down the church compound preparing lunch for the pastor and his guests, people who have their house to eat. Taking care of an invalid on the other hand being the Good Samaritan whom Jesus commended above the priest and the Levite who wouldn’t be bothered by the pain of a fellow human being as they pretended to have more serious religious duties than picking a robbery victim. Neglecting one’s parents is ungodly and attracts God’s sanction.

I think the biggest lesson here is Merry before Martha, NOT Merry more important than Martha.

Since Martha able to do all the works by alone , Mary has the chance sit and listen word of god.
