@@e.t.2230 Royal oak and jealous both run good, I like the flavor of the Royal oak better, but the jealous burns longer. for long cooks i mix royal oak with fogo or just fogo.

I just purchased the CTO version of what you have there, the CTO-TQ. It seems as though when I fill with jealous devil and a little wood, it heats over 300+ and I can't keep the temp down. Any suggestions? Should I put less than a full basket?

Hi Larry, sorry I just seen your question. I find if i light the basket close to the door it will take about 40 minutes to get to temp, but will maintain temp, I have went back to Royal Oak and I do get better temp control. Happy Smokin

great vib. what is your take on the CTO vs the BP/JW or propane vs charcoal /wood. trying to make the decision if propane is nessarry. thanks

Thankyou, it all depends on what your trying to accomplish , my personal favorite is the Is the BP it truly is the best pit. Now they have the CTO-TQ and that is what I would have bought. Propane is great for home and catering , add a comp switch for competition .

Do you sell those baskets? I just bought and received the CTO-TQ and don't care for the basket.

What is your opinion on this smoker for a novice user? I’ve had a pellet smoker for about 4 years now and I’m ready to
Up my game with a different style smoker. This smoker looks like it would be a good size for me at my home. How is the learning curve ? Thanks in advance.
