I’m surprised no one has ever designed a void yordle. According to the lore yordles basically reflect their region. What if one accidentally went through a rift as the for design, I’ll let you make the final decisions. An OC I have been thinking of in my head for the past couple of weeks. It is a ragdoll kind of character with a zipper mouth with a single, dark slit eye peaking through the doll’s zipper mouthpiece. Maybe the yordal doesn’t have a physical body anymore, or it is so horribly twisted that when he came back to runterra he tried to fashion himself something that resembles a yordle. So the doll itself it looks like a ragdoll yordal. I hope I explained the idea properly. I love your videos, and your artwork for this last character was amazing!

Would love to see you visit the region of Bilgewater, considering the last Bilgewater champ we got is Pyke. I feel like the Buhru (Illaoi's people) could use some more representation in the game. (Pyke is half-Buhru but it can hardly be seen in his visuals/gameplay) Perhaps a healer using traditional Buhru medicine (some kind of apothecary) could be an interesting addition to the game. As a supportive-jungle champion, roaming around the map aiding those in need, using their monster-hunting skills to make their way through the harshest environments.

@@Arthis_ I like that you try to think outside the box. If I could suggest something that might be interesting. You should try out making champions based on niche mechanics, I think it would help you with fleshing out gameplay. For example Pyke's passive, that converts one stat into another, but make it convert the stat into a mechanic. Like a passive that converts crit into a chance to mitigate dmg(similar to Mundo and Rengar w). So it could be a feast or famine bruiser with extremely volatile gameplay. Or an adc champ based on kiting(space gliding) who loses rapidly hp if they aren't moving and auto'ing. It could be a toggle ability(which we haven't seen in forever), so a self steroid with a caveat.
That’s actually a great idea! I do think I have to go through augments in arena because especially the crit for defense you’d be an interesting stat for a melee adc! And there could be some more inspirations! 😃 your adc ability sounds really cool! The league champion design subreddit makes a challenge for this month that is all about movement - maybe I can translate something about movement into a new champion. Thanks for the food for thought!

I really enjoy seeing your design process as you're excellent in using shapes and silhouette in your sketches! I think you do very well in translating the design tropes of Runeterra in to original characters. I would suggest that in the splash art stage you recolor your sketch linework to a general tone for the whole piece (in this case I would use a dark blue as it would be the most abundant sort of light that would hit the shadows in a snowy environment) and set the layer to multiply while laying down your colors below. It helps, while blending, to keep it from getting too muddy and gives the whole piece a more unified look as opposed to using just black and grey. I use this method for saving time in my own paintings as the amount of wrestling with the color tone of the whole piece is greatly reduced. Other than that, I love your work! Can't wait to see more of your incredible character designs in the future!

nice to find this video, I remember a conversation I had with a friend about our own concept for lol champions, I made mine a noxian, a loot of the writting of that champion came about me having my "memento mori" at the time so toughts of mortality where a big factor in the creation of the character.
Since Summoner's Rift has had a Winter version, it actually wouldn't be to difficult for them to basically alter the texture of the map as the Bergon's ice grows. With a little work to remove Xmas lights and what not, I think this is entirely a viable character for the game. I cannot say about optimization, but I doubt it would be too extreme. Well done!

I absolutely love the idea of a Draklorn champion, you did an amazing job here! My only criticism is that you should probably keep the horns on the helmet and also make it non-human (unless we have confirmation that the Draklorn are humans) to make him a bit more distinguishable without his helmet. How I would personally go with it would be: - Dark blue/Dark grey skin - Strange deep blue markings on the face to signify some form of connection to primal ice magic (being close with Lissandra and everything) -Glowing light blue eyes (or maybe another colour) for the same reason as above P.S. really love the pickaxe, its such a creative and fitting idea!
I know we have a snake champion, being Cassiopeia, but I would love a monster snake champion, either a void corrupted snake or an Ionian guardian in snake form. I always liked the idea of Aurellion Sols stars orbiting him, so how about the different parts of the snakes body take different amounts of damage with the head taking the most damage, so he can use his body to block certain attacks. Would also be cool to have some kind of constrict ability.
I have a crazy idea about a lunar priest mage who will change the phases of the moon when using abilities, which will change his basic abilities' effects and properties. For example, the combinations of Q-W-E and E-W-Q will have the same abilities, but at the same time they will give and apply completely different effects. You create beautiful champion designs, and I just wanted to share my idea, keep up the good work
i'm pretty sure they could make the first passive work ! if i understood correctly it's similar to Zagara's trait from Heroes of the Storm where she spawns a "clot" that spreads mucus around itself, not exactly the same activation but it's definitely possible
Funnily enough I had a talk with my brother who used to play the game too, and we were talking about the passives - and he mentioned that there is this one Zerg in hots who corrupts terrain so tech should be manageable 😄 but I still was unsure about riot spaghetti

If you want to make him an AP Bruiser, you could drop the bonus attack speed thing on the frozen map, and give him AP damage on basic attacks there instead. Also I really love the 'bringing Winter to the Rift' theme
15:38 Poro is a great idea I can think of some voice lines he could have with Braum like "Your shield shall shatter and your body shall crumble!... (do not worry about the poros I will take care of them)" or yone cause he dose not eat, something like "you miss food swordsman? how very sad." tbh its a REALLY good concept.

4:08 surprise "the Sith control everything ! even this particular frame in this video !" Very interesting but when it comes down to the abilities, he seems to have a mix of skarner and rek'sai in the way they were intended to play. The monolith would have to be more engaging to really sell out their usages, the frost theme should probably have other effect than being sort of a trundle/viego copy, the E specifically I don't see fitting in his kit. Maybe have something that instead work like a static except only in frostlands.
Oh do I have the right one for you .. has a bow and a prosthetic leg - is actually part of the lore already - is a teenage friend of akali. Check out alkalis stories - I will definitely design her moving forward!
I really like champions that use their abilities and autos together and this is no exception. I'd love to see how you'd give an asu to Varus. His old design doesn't fit his new lore, and I think there's a lot of potential in making him a fusion of human, darkin, and void.
Another concept League is so desperately needing. Legends introduced just so many interesting things over the world that simply don't make to the main game it's criminal.
It definitely is! I think the universe is full of things to explore as champions 😃 I really hope we can get some more interactive looks into the universe - and a lot of champions could be excellent npcs or bosses in pve modes!
I think it would be cool if instead of spreading the ice yourself, the monoliths spread it instead. Mabye, it would work so that whenever you killed a minion/monster or detonated frost, you would gain a stack, and the ice spread scaled with the stacks (you can keep the ult tho)
I suggest an alteration to this. I’m keeping the minion/monster or frost detonations give stacks part, but instead of stacks, it gives him “shards of ice” which is a currency he can use to *build* these towers around the map. And these towers gradually spread frost around them, eventually covering almost the whole map in ice if the game goes on really long, but there will be blind spots such as dragon or baron pit and the enemy base because that would be a tad too strong

I have a crazy idea about a lunar priest mage who will change the phases of the moon when using abilities, which will change his basic abilities' effects and properties. For example, the combinations of Q-W-E and E-W-Q will have the same abilities, but at the same time they will give and apply completely different effects. You create beautiful champion designs, and I just wanted to share my idea, keep up the good work

i'm pretty sure they could make the first passive work ! if i understood correctly it's similar to Zagara's trait from Heroes of the Storm where she spawns a "clot" that spreads mucus around itself, not exactly the same activation but it's definitely possible
Funnily enough I had a talk with my brother who used to play the game too, and we were talking about the passives - and he mentioned that there is this one Zerg in hots who corrupts terrain so tech should be manageable 😄 but I still was unsure about riot spaghetti

If you want to make him an AP Bruiser, you could drop the bonus attack speed thing on the frozen map, and give him AP damage on basic attacks there instead.

Poro is a great idea I can think of some voice lines he could have with Braum like "Your shield shall shatter and your body shall crumble!... (do not worry about the poros I will take care of them)"
or yone cause he dose not eat, something like "you miss food swordsman? how very sad."

Very interesting but when it comes down to the abilities, he seems to have a mix of skarner and rek'sai in the way they were intended to play. The monolith would have to be more engaging to really sell out their usages, the frost theme should probably have other effect than being sort of a trundle/viego copy, the E specifically I don't see fitting in his kit. Maybe have something that instead work like a static except only in frostlands.
can you do a darkin support there are already so many unused darkins in the lore it would be awesome to be able to make a full darkin team

I really like champions that use their abilities and autos together and this is no exception. I'd love to see how you'd give an asu to Varus. His old design doesn't fit his new lore, and I think there's a lot of potential in making him a fusion of human, darkin, and void.

It definitely is! I think the universe is full of things to explore as champions 😃 I really hope we can get some more interactive looks into the universe - and a lot of champions could be excellent npcs or bosses in pve modes!

I think it would be cool if instead of spreading the ice yourself, the monoliths spread it instead. Mabye, it would work so that whenever you killed a minion/monster or detonated frost, you would gain a stack, and the ice spread scaled with the stacks (you can keep the ult tho)

I suggest an alteration to this. I’m keeping the minion/monster or frost detonations give stacks part, but instead of stacks, it gives him “shards of ice” which is a currency he can use to *build* these towers around the map. And these towers gradually spread frost around them, eventually covering almost the whole map in ice if the game goes on really long, but there will be blind spots such as dragon or baron pit and the enemy base because that would be a tad too strong
