I still wonder who thought that a champ that gets offensice stats by building defensive ones is a good idea... He is to tanky to take down when he does not want to fight you and he then stat-checks you offensively when he wants to.
well my point is he isn't actually a tank, but you're right- his skill expression is also suffering in their attempt to reign in the nightmare they created
He's a tank-assassin when he ults. You can't kill him but you also can't move while he takes you down. So interactive and playable. Incredible champion design all around 🙄
@@nicholasavasthi9879 DOTA 2 has the resource to rework every single hero in their game to the point that if you stop playing DOTA 2 before 7.00 and got back to the game at this point, you'll realize how different every hero play. My problem with League is that it admits the game has power creep but Riot doesn't have the resource to update every champions. We'll be lucky to have at max 2 reworks per year while they keep churning out 4 new champions every year.
every time i see a k'sante i think to myself ''why does he have to exist'', its like a kid inventing a super hero and wanting him to have every power, he has dash, unstopable, a projectile, stuns, pushes, launch ppl airborne, can kidnap them through walls, has true damage, can shield allies, himself, get offensive stats while building full tank, insane stick potential, highly mobile, good numbers on every skill, blitzcrank slows himself because its too powerful for him to miss Q and still chase the oponent with is W, like wtf

kai'sa is balanced by the fact she can't have all of them at once if you go for onhit/crit your W and Q won't hurt as much. if you for full AP your W will hurt but that's really all the damage you have. you have to choose
Kai'sa's one and only weakness is her low auto range, which would be a problem if she didn't have a full-screen undodgable nuke and an invis + speed buff + steroid in 1 basic ability
@@realantagonist5324 Elise has a flowing combo to her kit. she's built with an intuitive combo from human to spider, and once her burst combo ends she's in her spider form which has more dps and movespeed. I agree that her spider into human feels bad, but her human form does have a clear purpose.
I've been waiting for Shyv rework since before they made the fated poll. I love the idea and the ideas of her moves, but AP Shyv is a burst mage and AD Shyv doesnt have the damage output. She is so dependent on her ult. But then it doesn't charge while dead, so you get penalized extra for taking any hits. Killing dragons for stats is a cool mechanic, but at lower levels half the players fight obsessively over dragon spawns and the other half completely ignore it. You end up being forced to contest all dragons, without the teammates to make it worth it.
the reason zeri was on the patch notes so much was becaue of riot favoritism and a refusal to give her an honest nerf for a year. there were so many nerf patches that compensated her so hard, youd think she was someones waifu.
I think a big flaw in Shyvana is that she is literally USELESS without ult. I know she's still pretty terrible when she's in dragon form but at least she can throw big AOE explosions at people and do damage with those if she's fed. When she's in human form she literally does nothing at all to the point where I genuinely see her as a troll pick
I think League of Legends is poorly designed IMO Edit: This was more of a joke, because this game has a lot of nuance and I compare it often to chess with the "board" (summoners rift) and how while you can change characters it's always the same board. But I dislike how they're homogenizing the new content and it's making it less fun to play over time.
Mobile Legends Bang Bang is better designed, but still have issues of its own Doesnt mean its as flawed as a game where an assassin/skirmisher could 1v5 with 1 item
Vayne is certainly up there. She's supposed to be the ad carry you pick against tankier comps, but the problem is and always will be the fact that she's a ranged champion that can do max% health true damage on her autos. So now this specified anti tank champion turns into anti anything, especially with other parts of her kit like her ult making her invisible, hence untargetable. If I were to rework her, either the max % health true damage is replaced outright, or it only comes up when she ults for a few seconds. Id replace it with a W that still does the 3 auto procs, but one that deals more damage to targets with more health than Vayne or something.
She’s short range. Easily killed by burst and mages. Adc’s can kill her simply by staying well out of range while their support locks them down. It’s not vaynes fault ur bad.
@@yorhaunit21o32 Right, ADCs can just stay out of hte range of the marksman that moves faster towards them than they can run from her and also has a low CD dash that turns her invisible and with that close to untargetable for ADCs!
the worst thing for pyke I think it's that you can't trade with him. You catch him, he can W and/or E so you can't chase him, waite 8 seconds to recover his CD and due to his passive gets back full life. Moreover as he takes advantage of the lethality support item, the little amount of ward you can put before he spawns on you because he was hiding nowhere, he can take them off with one AA without even having to use his trinket. As a support player it is very fustrating to play against a champion that can just do more things that you do, because riot allowed them to do so. It's not like pyke doesn't have any counter. It's just that the only way is ignoring him and hoping that none of your teammates would be low life if you don't want to give him a penta.
Honestly, I don't think Pyke is as bad as people make him out to be, and I say this as a Vel'Koz main. Pyke's problem is that Riot never commits to make him a proper roam support like Bard. In an ideal world, Pyke's role should not be as a late game assassin, but having a strong early gaming allowing him to roam fast and apply pressure evenly at the cost of making his ADC vulnerable. His damage would allow for powerful ganks and sharing gold, but then he falls off mid game and spins towards a peel support, using Q and E to help the adc, then R to finish escaping enemies. Making his passive generate reward the kill towards the champion that gave the most damage, instead of rewarding him plus one assist, would also basically fix the gold gen issue entirely. But Riot can't commit to the idea of having a champion that doesn't exceed in every possible role or make a champion that isn't the protagonist, so they give him too much damage or too little of it. In the end they want Pyke to be the Main Zed's go to sup autofill pick, and for that reason he won't ever be good.
I really dislike how Sejuani W deals physical damage, prevents her from doing basic attacks, and uses her weapon - but scales with ability power (besides health)
@@DavidGlendaleArdenaso Sejuani doing damage would be ridiculously cancerous, she's already oppressive in high elos because of her AoE CC there's absolutely no reason that she should have damage
I love how instead of forming an actual opinion on ksantes design and how hes been handled by the balance team he just plays the showmaker clip. classic
The biggest issue with K'Sante is that in his ultimate he does %max health true damage. Why? Keep everything else if you don't want to kill the champion and all of the skill expression, just remove that portion. Even if K'Sante loses 35% HP, and Bonus Resistance, he still has a knockup/pull on his Q3, he still negates CC and can dash through units, while dealing damage, which also reduces incoming damage. And he still has a dash that gives him a shield to negate large chunks of burst damage.
To Pyke (yes with Y, its wrong in the chapters): I will never understand, who thought putting the most not supportive playstyle of support on a suupport champion, on the lane where his number 1 targets are, was a good idea. He is so frustrating to play against. It is even hard to poke hhiim out of lane due to his passiv. and high base HP. Then he even gernate gold. Make him a Mid Laner and I would still hhate him for beeing ann assassin, but at least, he is where he should belong.
You know, I never considered Assassins as a class that needs a lot of gold, just one that needs a normal amount. But rather they have the need to spend all their gold on offensive burst in order to be useful, because their kits are designed for engaging and disengaging they can get away with it. All in all, an excellent video. I think Illaoi feels out of place though, just because I don't think there is anything inherently wrong with her inconsistency. That in and of it self can be extremely fun when you hit your highs. At the end of the day, this is a video game and it NEEDS to be fun above everything else. I kind of like their approach nowadays with some of the champs designs not being so constraining, because it appeals to the casual audience more than the hyper competitive in a sense. Especially with how much more simpler they've gone with ability usage. Though League needs to be balanced at the higher levels of play to feel rewarding, I think champion designing aiming for casual audiences without constraints is a good thing.
@@HuyNguyen-jl7go This is genuinely why I often play Garen jungle. He's vary hard to kite... with levels and proper items. He's extremely easy to kite early game, when he has neither of those things. In the jungle however, you can avoid bad matchups like Vayne, Tristana(it's worse than Vayne tbh), Twisted Fate, Teemo, Quinn... you know basically anything ranged whatsoever. Graves, Kindred, and so on are also easier to run down because they're often VERY far away from the safety of a tower.
Champions like Lux, Senna, and Pyke are prime examples of 'Designed for Support, but clearly not'. Senna is just an ADC that GENUINELY scales, Pyke was gone over, and Lux is just a Midlane mage that someone at Riot gets their rocks off to whenever they make sure she gets a buff she had zero need for.
Lux was never "designed for support" lmao. Shitters tend to play her on "support" because of the CC, but she isn't nor was ever intended to be a supp champ.
@@baptistecochennec5956 Arguably any champion can help the team though, that is an extremely low standard to set. Maybe you can exclude champs like Yi and Shyvanna with that standard, but practically all tanks, bruisers and mages have some form of cc they can use to help the team (though some would argue death is the best cc in the game and in that term master Yi can work too).

For shyvana they should make it like k6 but a transformation ultimate, starts as a temportal one but as you get higher level it becomes permanent, also every 6 levels you upgrade a skill, as smolder and aurelion do with their stacks
I’m so sad with everything around zeri, she is so fun to play, but due to the things mentioned she is too strong a lot of the time. I loved her old passive, it gave some counter to shield heavy teams, but since that was on top of all the other stuff, they got rid of it…😢
I feel like illaoi can be easily changed to become a support, make the slow on E higher(also her tentacles hits can become a stun) way less damage on tentacles hits and make her ult like an ori ult kinda swipe of a tentacle, i think that could be hella fun

Honestly my personal award goes to karthus. He is the definition of pressure without much counterplay. When you kill him, he still is allowed to freefire on you and his ult blasts everyone on the enemy team. Like, what i am supposed to do against a karthus jungle? Pick briar and perma invade him until the game ends?
Actually a huge problem with Pyke is that you can't build HP because of his passive, so you literally can't be tanky and all the nerfes make it impossible to build tank because you need the full assassin items to be more than a caster minion... I miss my tank Pyke top ... It was so fun ...
I actually love shyvana, I love how she can be tanky, have good bruiser potential, and be a sniper mage, all in one game and with one build, but you have to hide while charging up ult. I don’t think she is poorly designed but her passive is definitely lame by 2024 standards
i just gotta say i love how Nagakabouros is all about constantly moving and chasing what u want yet illoai's kit just says "no im gonna stand right here and never leave" lmao
Nope I think it’s perfect. It forces you to move. That’s literally Illaoi’s job in lore too. Try standing still _against_ an illaoi and see what happens
@@ldalexandrite i guess it depends on ur view, yeah she forces others to move but shes the herald of a god of movement while she herself is completely stagnant in lane just standing there hoping u come to her "fcuk you zone" lol
Zeri lost her shield stealing capabilities even after her 850 range nerf. Lost a lot of her damage on W. Runaans not giving additional stacks when hitting people during ult. Lost Spellblade on q. The fact that she's was on 52% wr when Stattik Shiv and pre hp nerf was meta can attest how busted still can be.
Well, maybe it's that notable in League only cause Tyrande exists and she is nice "assasin support" but also she's ranged , so no crazy dive combos like pyke does, only good old healing , which comes of cooldown faster if she's on offensive, plus mark what shreds targets armour making even tanks to retreat.
Illaoi can be a cool zoning bruiser if they rework her R. Something like Camile's ult + big tentacles spapping that you need to dodge. Currently she's just a disengage champ with big cooldown.
I mean you made a video about her only 10 days ago. Bel Veth. She is such a nothing addition to the game and her gameplay does not match her fantasy at all. She's the only champion where if she were to receive a rework I would want every single ability scrapped and done over.
True. I feel like Yorick is the best inspiration if they want to remake Bel'veth. When I look at Bel'veth, I'm thinking of Nature Prophet from DOTA 2 who would spawn fuck ton of walking trees to sneakily push while aslo has variety of tools to get in and out of the fight. Or Abarthur in HOTS though I wouldn't mind if they don't take inspiration from him. I really really despise Abarthus... it's like Yuumi but more volatile and safe.
... We get fucking autoataker in year 2023. She has aoe cc, 4 dashes dmg mitigation true dmg and infinity atck speed. Btw she still not really good since this is one of examples where you actually CAN kait champion that supposed to be kited. You can't kite Darius or Garen. You CAN'T kite WW or Udir. Another point that bel with only 2 items can make your tank with 2 items 100-0% in just 3-4 seconds, if she can hit, and this is not K'sante. I play her if get JG. More often i play kayle. A good example of design. She actually works as her concept declare. Powerful late weak early. And fucking suck to champion with same idea ( fuck this dog, why his 3 so broken with -90% move and atk spd).
Now we also got hwei that is literally nothing new to the game. They wanted to make some invoker wannabe by copying Merlin from Smite but managed to make second lux with 0 counterplay and infinite spam with no mana costs.
I feel to fix Illaoi, her ult should be a minor steroid ult, applying the vessel passive when if her ult hits them (without the slow that would be too broken) and having her Q and W cast times greatly reduced, and possibly the duration extended on champion takedown.
Shyvana is definitely volatile in gameplay. I don't much appreciate getting hit with the damage of a max distance nidalee spear at full build... During laning phase with a 1 1/2 item ap shyv.
I come from smite where it is not uncommon to see some assassin play support, but the thing is they had to build like a support. And that is my main problem with pyke, at his release he wasn't forced to build full damage and lethality items, we had the option to build him more tanky without losing his strengh. In my opinion, Pyke was more balanced at his release but because Riot want the funny everyone one-shot, Pyke was forced to build lethality items.
I have an idea for shyvana rework let her be a rampaging melee tank. dragon form is tied to a FURY stacks she progressively gains her form by attacking minims/ monsters or taking damage or hitting spells on enemy champs fury fall off out of combat and she gains stats as she progresses into dragon form. health armor etc. her ult consumes all fury, explodes the dragon + heal. abilities get empowered as fury builds, but doesn’t consume fury. this is what I wanted smolder to be too. and his design fits the theme better cause he could just grow naturally in size to show his fury
What is truly insane is zeri went through that many nerfs and mini reworks over the course of a year of being released. Now take a champion like kled who was released in 2016 has only been nerfed or buffed a total of 3 times if even in 8 years.
I think the 200 years champions should still be protested. There is a market for them for sure, but as a recently returning player, I already have to catch up on the item changes, let alone get murdered while the enemy is jumping all around me. I'm sure it will be even worse for new players. I really think they shouldn't become the norm.
I would add a few other champs, Teemo, Singed, Zed and Akali. Teemo and Singed are annoying to fight against because they have the most unreactive lane to play against and are basically unable to be chased without losing your life. Teemo as perma-invis if standing still or in a bush without attacking, not to mention how strong his shrooms are right now. Akali and Zed (case could be made against Leblanc, Yasuo, Yone) have 10 000 dashes and becomes untargettable at some point in their kit (Akali’s Shroud and Zed ults). It makes them almost impossible to play against when playing a Mage. They hit 6 and even if you won lane, are level 8 and have an item on them they kill you in 2 abilities.
I would have to say a carry support isn't new, be it in an assassin form is given how often Brand is played support, you might even throw Lux into there as well. The problem I see is that they deliberately nerf into the ground any other support who looks capable of carrying, take a look at Sona's AP ratios being nuked into the ground so she can't mid for instance despite never being the issue Pyke Mid was. That riot has chosen one role and said 'thou shalt never carry' instead of finding a better way to allow any support to keep up in gold and do so... Even the current busted support items not quite closing that gap.
9:26, interesting Haven't heard that term used before, adc/marksmen that stick it to the man, battle marksmen, sounds cool Swain and Vlad are what i consider the best examples of "Battlemages", Rio also considerers Anivia and Karthus to be ones too, maybe cuz of thier passives? cuz i thought battlemages are tankier than "regular" ones ( don't even know what Ryze is anymore, he used to be a prime example of battlemage with Desperate power and later his Rune shield ) Why hasn't Riot named any sub classes for ADC? they are too few?,
I'm pretty sure that champions like Pyke or Senna exist just to remove those "off-meta" picks like adc supports (like ashe or miss fortune) or assassin supports (no one comes to mind at this moment but I'm sure there have been a few in the past, idk, maybe talon?) So these champs are an answer like "ok, so insistent on playing them support? Ok then, just take this one we specifically designed to be on this role" though the execution, as Vars mentioned, is lacking to say the least. Illaoi is just a mess, it was fine when she just got released due to the state of the meta (maybe, idk, it's been quite a few years) But at this moment is just kinda standing with glue and ducktape. The nail in the coffin was this season start, where they had to "buff" her by extending the range of her tentacles just so she could work in the toplane due to the changes to the line sizes and shapes. Then they nerfed her damage because to the surprise of nobody, having those damage radios on such a large hitbox was not precisely good. I would dare to put her into the same need of a rework as Shyvana, Trynd, etc. She just really needs it. On a lighter note, when seeing the Pyke and Zeri animations, I just realized that, considering that this last batch of Project Skins was so underwhelming, I'm really surprised that they didn´t add Zeri's WR exclusive into the Rooster, would have really lighten things up.
I think it is a good list. I actually loved Zeri when she was heavily nerfed just before the rework that changed her ult/passive/range etc. It was the fantasy of mosquito biting them until they were dead because your damage was so low. It was the most fun champion I played in league. Now she just plays like samira where you jump use everything and burst people that's not that fun ;/ Before she was like a mix of ashe/ezreal
Rito can design a champion with very simple individual skills but when those skills are combined the gameplay of a champion can be complex and fun. i.e. Jax, mundo, amumu, trundle. We dont want 3 paragraphs long skills. We need simple champions with a unique identity
As a pyke one trick since for the last 3 years I really think he needs to just be reworked into a midlaner or jungler. They could actually make him a semi-healthy champion for the game if this was the case.
I honestly think Zeri's dash is fine. Cause thats her only mobility except her ult in which u just gain speed and not even a significant amount. Its easy for people to gap close on you. And if u need to use your e to dodge a skillshot then its on a very long cooldown. Can be used offensively and defensively. Every other battle mage as u said has some very good gap closers and combat mobility. Kalista has her passive vayne her q with a low cd and also damage amplification and even other marksmen with similar gameplay like samira and Nilah have very good combat mobility and gap closers. Zeri has no gap closer. Her dash is way too short for that. And has a way too long cd. So she will just get poked to death since most other edcs havesuperior range. So a good compensation for long cd and short range is what she got rn
Illaoi is such a... sad champion. The thing is: Every looks and feels good about her. Her tentacle mechanic, her unique niche as a sieging juggernaut, the weight of her animations, uniqueness of her E and her R feels very juggernauty if nothing else - and more tentacles, thats great. But she is such a broken mess of a champ regardless. Probably the worst lanebully to face. She definitely needs an update, likely a midscope or full gameplay rework... but its difficult. The niche of siege is pretty damn negligible these days. Her R is probably a good skill to do work on, I feel it is the weakest part of her kit - but that doesnt really touch her laning oppressiveness.
I agree that I want a Shyvana rework since she's one of my highest mastery characters, but the Skarner rework hasn't given me much hope at all... I'd almost rather her stay slightly suboptimal than give her the 200 years treatment, make her play completely differently, and then need several balance changes to make her playable... Or like the TF one where it works for the pros for like, 3 weeks before basically nothing changes in the grand scheme of things. On top of the Riot Special (TM), which means she'll get one or two problematic abilities that'll just put her in the top 5 of picks and bans for 2-3 different roles. I just don't have much faith in the rework team at this point.
@@HuyNguyen-jl7go She is a half dragon but can't be a dragon until lvl 6? I think its only fair that at the last 3 levels she get to be only dragon when she has to be only human for the first 5 levels
You know, Pyke makes me sad because i love his design and his gameplay and his thematic but I don't like support, so i live and die by the new lethality Hydra item in mid
I do so enjoy playing zeri. She fits perfectly into my marksman roster of Kog'maw, Jinx and well, her. I love these machineguns. They deal pretty similar damage overall, but if I want to have a safe laning phase without compromising dps or scaling, I pick Zeri because its so damn easy to get out of the laning phase even, and since she outscales most champs.. granted, it took a pretty long while to learn her, but csing is too easy and escaping too. Love this champ!
Illaoi in my opinion is the most balanced champ right now. If you miss an ability you straight up lose if you hit all of your abilities you're basically 1v9. Unlike Irelia Yone or Gwen who misses everything but will kill you with auto attacks that has true damage crit AD and AP. And also there is Garen 👍.
I just hope when shyv finally gets her rework that the stupid full AP build gets deleted entirely. I hate that the big strong looking dragon plays like a poke mage. It also has the tendency to feel either extremely useless or actually unbeatable with how much range/zone control she gets to dish out insane burst damage. Such a frustrating build to play against
I personally think that Pyke himself isn't the issue, but the support role as a whole is pigeon holed into a specific idea which just so happens to becomes synonymous with 'lack of agency.' There is a reason support has always been one of the most disliked roles, and it is specifically because it cannot excel without costing the rest of the team what they need or warping the meta, like the Ardent Censer meta. ADCs need gold to stay relevant, especially nowadays where they literally can't contribute in any way if they don't get ahead since everyone can take objectives now and everyone can fast push waves. Any time a support takes a kill, that was gold that could allow the ADC to stay afloat, which is one of the reasons why ADCs are one of the most volatile teammates you get in Solo Queue. I think Pyke actually answers a lot of the problems the support role has, which is a support who carries a form of agency but not at the cost of his ADC's agency. Most ADCs (who aren't obsessed with something as mundane as their KDA) are only upset because the kill gold is granted to the support, but they'd have little reason to complain if somehow the kill gold was given to them. An idea might be that when supports buy their gold generation item, they pick a champion and bind themselves to that champion, like Knight's Vow. While they are bound in this way to an ADC, if they are about to kill an enemy champion they grant the kill gold to the bound ADC (think like the support items that let them execute minions to grant their ADCs gold). You can them balance damage supports by granting them some form of bonus gold on the kill. You could then remove the bonus gold Pyke gives with his ultimate, cause it would then be bound to the support item, which would fix the whole issue Riot has with Pyke going to other lanes aside from bot. If need be, you could also include something to help distinct the champions that like to go damage support like Brand, Vel'Koz, and Zyra from their role in mid, like maybe adding some sort of damage modification to this support item, like maybe making it where all damage you deal while you have this item in your inventory is reduced to 90% or something like that, so that those champions don't get nerfed in the mid lane for shenanigans their bot lane counterparts are up to. Damage supports would have an actual place in bot lane rather than just being a sort of forced inclusion that is trying to compete with their ADC rather than compliment them, and you'd have a lever by which to adjust them as a whole if they get a bit out of hand, like adjusting the damage adjustment of their from 90% to 85% or something. This could just be a garbage take, but it's my two cents.
or shyvana it would be nice, if she would be a basic shapeshifter. Ult Low Cooldown and aviable from lvl 1. Without the dash, just transform like nidalee. Then redisign her Human form Abilitys. Would be way cooler. I lked her back when Feral flare existed, but yes. That AP Shyvana is a strong option shows how old her kit is.
Biggest problem i have with zeri, is that I never feel like its worth to play her. If I find success on any build or rune, IT DOESNT MATTER. Riot will change everything anyways in 1-2 Patches with her. i could never otp her just because riot cant balance proplay and solo Q with this champion. I play her from time to time, have a blast then i see a patch and that just instantly demotivates me to continue to play her. Its sad tho. I'd really love to otp her ._.
Also zeri, the second problem is dead on but the first 'problem' is nonexistent. Being a caster adc doesn't mean you have to be mid game only. It's input, how you play, not output, what you can do. Smolder is an ad caster late game character too Zeris entire problem is that her whole identity is wrapped up in way too high mobility
When some ability is hard to trigger you make it more rewarding. Riot gone wrong way with Zeri. For her Qs are skillshots and are not guaranteed to land. They must make her an early champ instead of late game champ. Give her Q as much damage as Draven's or even more.
Also THANK YOU, Ive been saying this about Illaoi for YEARS That champ would be permabanned in my games if people actually played her. One of the least fun champs to play in the game because of how all or nothing she is and how you have to play against her as if she can be the "all" almost any time. Not OP at all just fucking anti fun.
I agree with your list, but I would add Naafiri to it. She has permanent triple green shells from Mario Kart around her, making non-aoe skillshot essentially useless vs her. The least enjoyable hard counter.
I don't think that Zeri herself is a problem, minus the original 825 attack range + the sheen proc on q. The only actual issue in her kit is her E. It staying has made everything else great about the champion go.
Unlike pyke, the greatest failure league refuses to fix, i think shyv is one or two more changes away from perfection. I dont want her base kit to change, it already does so much right. I think they need to make her dragon form more appealing to stay in. If she could charge another ult dash through autos while in dragon form, and her W time limit cap was removed during dragon form, then she might be the best balanced champ in the whole game. Rewarding combat and embracing her dragon fury Also more stacking resistance cuz her current passive is weak af.
Illaoi is really well made tbh, her kit is so well made that it doesn't fit league 200 years and frenetic gameplay. Aside from her E, the rest of her kit is fine, she does lots of damage but her abilities have lots of windup so you can foresee and dodge it, her full combo Q + E + R + W takes more than 2 seconds to fire just because of windups lol But that strenght is also her main problem because League is too fast and a slow champion doesn't really have a place.
@FaceFish9 but it isnt true at all. She can delete ranged or really squishy toplaners with it even early for sure, but she absolutely cant do the same to many other top lane champs. Quite often you obliged to press ult to do it (and most of the time enemy just make 2 mach speed move to get rid of your tether and just reingage, while you almost defenceless.) Illaoi is a pure skillcheck champion (both for the one who plays her and who plays against). Oh, and yeah, if you missed E - you screwed. If you got CCed during E - you screwed, cause you will not deal enough damage, unless you have a really really big lead.

I agree, all the "tank shredding" % hp damage in the game should be centered around bonus HP, NOT max HP
MaxHP% and True Damage should be mutually exclusive, so that a Tank can itemize armor against MaxHP% and HP vs True Damage
Her W is Just uncounterable, only option is preventing her from AAing or Killing her fast enough, such an annoying champ

Blue archive music goes hard

So it's not useless against all top tanks? All tanks has %dmg
@@fasce they have either physical or magic damage. No tank has %max health true damage.

To Pyke (yes with Y, its wrong in the chapters):
I will never understand, who thought putting the most not supportive playstyle of support on a suupport champion, on the lane where his number 1 targets are, was a good idea.

What I learned from this: Riot needs to stop tinkering with assassin hybrids
Just like “Morgana”, I think we should start using the phrase “200 years” to describe Genshin characters
I have an idea for shyvana rework
let her be a rampaging melee tank.
dragon form is tied to a FURY stacks
she progressively gains her form by attacking minims/ monsters or taking damage or hitting spells on enemy champs
fury fall off out of combat
and she gains stats as she progresses into dragon form.
health armor etc.
her ult consumes all fury, explodes the dragon + heal.
abilities get empowered as fury builds, but doesn’t consume fury.
this is what I wanted smolder to be too. and his design fits the theme better cause he could just grow naturally in size to show his fury
Never thought i would hear a blue archive ost on a league video
What is truly insane is zeri went through that many nerfs and mini reworks over the course of a year of being released. Now take a champion like kled who was released in 2016 has only been nerfed or buffed a total of 3 times if even in 8 years.
I love how riot had to admit zeri is a hypercarry like vayne. Its not what they intended but it is the play pattern.
I think the 200 years champions should still be protested. There is a market for them for sure, but as a recently returning player, I already have to catch up on the item changes, let alone get murdered while the enemy is jumping all around me. I'm sure it will be even worse for new players. I really think they shouldn't become the norm.
as Syndrome says: "When everyone is 200 years, No one will be"
I would add a few other champs, Teemo, Singed, Zed and Akali. They hit 6 and even if you won lane, are level 8 and have an item on them they kill you in 2 abilities.
having shivana transform with her R similar to nidalee would be kinda cool
Corki's 12 Polygons
A design so bad and toxic that they're undoing his rework, very few champion rework are just undone like that. GG riot
10:45 damm i still remember Divine sunderer Zeri on toplane. That was disgusting.
9:26, interesting
Haven't heard that term used before, adc/marksmen that stick it to the man, battle marksmen, sounds cool
Swain and Vlad are what i consider the best examples of "Battlemages", Rio also considerers Anivia and Karthus to be ones too, maybe cuz of thier passives? cuz i thought battlemages are tankier than "regular" ones ( don't even know what Ryze is anymore, he used to be a prime example of battlemage with Desperate power and later his Rune shield )
Why hasn't Riot named any sub classes for ADC? they are too few?,
I'm pretty sure that champions like Pyke or Senna exist just to remove those "off-meta" picks like adc supports (like ashe or miss fortune) or assassin supports (no one comes to mind at this moment but I'm sure there have been a few in the past, idk, maybe talon?) So these champs are an answer like "ok, so insistent on playing them support?
So a good compensation for long cd and short range is what she got rn
smiled when Showmaker got brought up cause i already knew what the clip was gonna be
Illaoi is such a... sad champion.
Riot hire this man, his ideas are awesome. Shyvana becoming full dragon lvl 16? I'd kill for this
That would kill her identity as a half dragon though . Makes her ult free at lv 16 with a 10-20 sec cd is more reasonable .
I don't understand why they haven't just removed Zeri's "dash over wall" part. It would make her at least somewhat balanced.
What a champion can't do > what a champion can do
Biggest problem i have with zeri, is that I never feel like its worth to play her.
Wasn’t expecting to hear Blue Archive music in the background
The worst designed champion clearly is Sett because he isn't naked 😱😡👻
How do you make a champion who punishes lack of “motion” have a playstyle of standing still
Also zeri, the second problem is dead on but the first 'problem' is nonexistent. Being a caster adc doesn't mean you have to be mid game only. It's input, how you play, not output, what you can do. Smolder is an ad caster late game character too
Zeris entire problem is that her whole identity is wrapped up in way too high mobility
When some ability is hard to trigger you make it more rewarding. Riot gone wrong way with Zeri. For her Qs are skillshots and are not guaranteed to land. They must make her an early champ instead of late game champ. Give her Q as much damage as Draven's or even more.
So that's where the meme came from.
vars's here , exploring all game ost available out there
Also THANK YOU, Ive been saying this about Illaoi for YEARS
That champ would be permabanned in my games if people actually played her.
Next 5 predicitons: Rell, Ryze, Nilah, Yone, Samira
Unlike pyke, the greatest failure league refuses to fix, i think shyv is one or two more changes away from perfection. I dont want her base kit to change, it already does so much right. I think they need to make her dragon form more appealing to stay in.
If she could charge another ult dash through autos while in dragon form, and her W time limit cap was removed during dragon form, then she might be the best balanced champ in the whole game. Rewarding combat and embracing her dragon fury
Also more stacking resistance cuz her current passive is weak af.
The auto-generated chapters: Alla, Shyana, Pike, Zary, Kante
Illaoi is really well made tbh, her kit is so well made that it doesn't fit league 200 years and frenetic gameplay.
Aside from her E, the rest of her kit is fine, she does lots of damage but her abilities have lots of windup so you can foresee and dodge it, her full combo Q + E + R + W takes more than 2 seconds to fire just because of windups lol
But that strenght is also her main problem because League is too fast and a slow champion doesn't really have a place.
@FaceFish9 bro i literally said "aside from her E"
KSante isn't even fun to play in my experience. He feels clunky and unintuitive, but stills gets wins by beating people over the head with his stats
can't wait for reworked skarner to be in this series
