    Just sharing my ideas one of my favorite book series, A Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin. This video may contain spoilers for those of you who are not up to date with the series. That goes for the HBO show and the books.
    I'm just speculating and guessing on some ideas that I have on how future events will transpire in the series. Keep in mind however, I know nothing.

    If there's one thing I like about IT, it's that Pennywise isn't just some monster that appears here and there, it's an actual fleshed out character.

    If the original miniseries failed at one drastic thing, it's that It was an eternal monstrosity, that It was actually a sort of Cthulhu-style existence. I'm interested to see if the movie will explore this at all.

      Scott Wilkins yeah man,the TV ministries was lacking that love- craftion horror that the book was so famous of.I think they should make a animated Tv series on Netflix. They should put great detail when bill enter the macroverse in the ritual of chud to battle it in a battle of will.

      Branden Long The losers club learn a lot more about the nature of it when they're adults anyway. The only major metaphysical thing that was left out from the book so far was the vision that the turtle gave one of the boys to help him defeat it.

    Interesting connection here. Will Hanlon saw the giant bird when Dick Hollaran saved him from the fire. And so his fear of the bird was used by IT to try and hurt Mike as a baby and that fear transitioned into Mike seeing the giant bird at the Iron Works. IT is an amazing novel, the connections and experiences one can get from the book are endless.
    Great narration as well, thank you.

  • @Espinozaize
    @Espinozaize 7 років тому +266

    In regards to "It" & all the discussion that is going on about that right now...For obvious reasons.
    I think that a lot of people are missing the essential point here.
    Many people think that "It" is somekind of ultimate evil. An antithesis to the Turtle. That they are opposites of creation & consumption, but equally powerfull.
    This is almost certainly false.
    It is true that "It" has this view of the world. Not only that, but "It" considers it self to be smarter & more powerful than the Turtle.
    However look at "It". It resides on a small speck of dust in existence called Earth. It feeds on children in order to rest, sleep & dream comfortably.
    Futhermore these children can hurt it both physically & mentally. In the end they even kill "It".
    The story is very much about "It´s" arrogance & delusiouns.
    That in the end "It" has no real power or influence. "It" can be killed by children. A victim of its own delusions of grandeur.

    • @Espinozaize
      @Espinozaize 7 років тому +7

      What the hell are you talking about?
      Clearly perceiving "Its" physical form does not cause instant death. Neither for children or adults.
      Did you pay any attention to the video at all?
      "It" feeds on all. Only it prefers children due to their state of mind.
      However "It" is a creature that needs sustenance from both the psycological-mening fear & the physical-meaning flesh realms of existence.
      Honestly let me ask you this:
      Why would "It" fear the return of the five as adults, if all it had to do in order to kill them was to show its true form hah?
      I mean can you see how nonsensical that is?

    • @Espinozaize
      @Espinozaize 7 років тому +3

      Ok so let me get this straight here.
      You are inferring that if you, as a child, saw "It" in its true form... A gigant spider, then as an adult you will not die instantly from seeing the same giant spider? Yes?
      Also as a real quick point here. King has stated, as you say, that the story was inspired by Tolkien.
      Shelob specifically.
      Now since that is the case:
      What characterizes that queen spider?
      She is overly arrogant, her sole purpose is to feed & she is defeated by halflings. Creatures that in her mind are inferior to her in all respects.
      "It" is Shelob in all those senses. God does not need to kill her. The children can. It may have existed before the Turtle.
      All we know about that is "Its" own ramblings about how powerful she thinks that she is.
      -Obviously it needs to feed & rest. I do not get why you would even contest that?
      In that case what is the conflict of the tale?
      "It" could just faste for like 50 yers untill the kids that saw her as a gigant spider & is now immune to that are dead. Then go back to feasting just for fun I guess?
      Ok problem solved!
      What does Jeffrey Dahmer have to do with anything. I mean he built a throne out sculls. But still why is that relevant at all?

    • @Espinozaize
      @Espinozaize 7 років тому +3

      Now then let me ask you this:
      If any of the points that you state above are indeed true.
      Meaning that "It" is an antithesis to Jesus. An all powerful evil that decided to take the physical form of a giant spider on earth in order to eat children.
      Compare that to the Jesus tale.
      Now Jesus had a purpose. He/God had to die. For if not humanity could never be saved. So in that sense Judas was a hero. Had he not taken those 30 coins. Then there would be no salvation at all for the believers.
      Opposite to that if you are claimning that "It" is Satan taking a physical form...Then what does it matter if that form is killed?
      "It" will still & always exist. It can just take on another form on earth or somewhere else. It has no consequence at all. In which case Kings story is ultimately meaningless.
      See where I am going with this & why the Jesus analogy does not hold up at all?
      It fears death & injury. Because it is weak, limited & mortal.
      Just like the children it feeds on.
      Yet this is the truth that "It" can & will not learn

    • @Espinozaize
      @Espinozaize 7 років тому

      Ok. So then I guess that we agree really.
      "It" is the tale of a supernatural creature overestimating its own power & thus being killed by those it intended to feed on. Yes? "It" is mortal, limited & weak.
      About Judas though...I always liked the guy. You say that he was assigned the role of Satan. However think about it this way:
      Jesus is God. He created Judas. The Lord took the form of Jesus in order to be tortured & killed by man.Only then could they be saved.
      So Judas sacrifice was to save all of human kind & maybe he knew that in taking the money. That he would forever be hated due to an all powerful being deciding to take a human form & hang on a cross...After which he would go back to being an all powerful god. That would return some day

      +Daryl Dixon 2 I can't tell you how tired I am of people brushing off the mini series for not being a carbon copy of the book, rather people getting on someone else's ass for "not understanding the character" just because they like Curry's version. Great books and film allow their audiences to make their own representations, the mini series had the bones and enough meat from the novel to get the point across.
      Personal opinion, but I think the mini series is good for folks that can't be bothered with some of King's sometimes overbearing depth and detail. It cuts out the things that didn't require the story to run, and with that artistic licence, you're giving the audience room to tack on their own quirks and fears to the characters.

    The part where mark lamonica tries to kill mike in the hospital really hit me hard, i mean there is alot of fucked up content in the novel but just the fact that pennywise had murdered his sister then all these years later here he was doing ITs bidding as some mindless servant, i dont know why that scene just really got to me, it shows the true scope of Its power and evil. Having not read the book that felt like King dialogue awesome job.
    If I followed correctly are you saying the woman thing in Rose Madder and Pennywise are one and the same?

    • @TripleRedShell
      @TripleRedShell 6 років тому

      They aren't Rose Madder (the female werespider in the book of the same name) drank of the river of Youth in Outworld (The world of Dark Tower) we know that as she states the child was being taken to Lud. Werespiders seem to originate from the Prim in the form of Crimson King (who was sired by a werespider and Arther Eld) and IT (these are the only true pureblood ones) IT is more than likely a physical manifestation of the Prim and it's Awesome Power as we see in Insomnia it has the power to send the crimson king away from Derry (a creature is is sodding powerful in his own right)
      Crimson King Sired a child alongside Roland and Mia and that was Mordred another Halfblood werespider.

      The Woman who drank from the fountain of Youth has lived centuries and chances are has been corrupted by it and the prim and changed to deal with it.
