    Just sharing my ideas one of my favorite book series, A Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin. This video may contain spoilers for those of you who are not up to date with the series. That goes for the HBO show and the books.
    I'm just speculating and guessing on some ideas that I have on how future events will transpire in the series. Keep in mind however, I know nothing.

    Seven kids empowered by a giant primeval turtle to kill a god clown. Sounds legit

    • @rhorynotmylastname7781
      @rhorynotmylastname7781 5 років тому +1

      He isn't really a god he is just a projection of it's true form or likely species who feeds off of human fear. He is just more than human he is not a god. He is just a very old extra dimensional alien.

    • @pageup213
      @pageup213 5 років тому +13

      @@rhorynotmylastname7781 It's never really established that fear is a food source, but rather that it's the seasoning that makes the meat taste all that much better, makes the kill all that much better. Bill towards the end poses the idea that IT doesn't even really need to feed, but rather that IT just enjoys what IT is doing because it is in IT's nature to consume and destroy and delight in violence, chaos and control that comes from the entire process. An apex predator of the highest order that thinks of itself as a God, and us as cattle that it gets to play with whenever IT so chooses. To me that makes IT all that much more terrifying a creature, and one of King's best and most imaginative creations (at the very least for that period of time in his writing).

      @@rhorynotmylastname7781 I think I’d call a (malignant)”extra dimensional alien” a “demon”, and why not? My human mind is too finite to accurately describe such a horror.

    I love that the faith magic, or the magic of faith, is, for both the children and It, a sword which cuts and heals at once. It is what makes the monster's horror real and what can pop it like a balloon. It makes the children vulnerable to fear, and therefore to the ravenous deadlights. But it also makes them powerful against the darkness, if they turn that magic on themselves, on their own inner lifelights.

    • @darkprose

      *"Lifelight" is a word from the novel, and it occurs only once, but that's enough.

    Mike Hanlon's interludes could've been it's own Mini series and it would've been perfect. The horrors he uncovers and knowing that all the while The creature is constantly watching him practically taunting Mike. It would be like a horror Noir I hate that Hanlon's story especially didn't get the chance to be told when his research into Derry is a huge story.
