I remember being 19, going to Nre York City for the first time, and heading straight to Barneys to get some Bobbi Brown. I couldn't afford it, but I bought it anyways, and I'll never forget the experience.

Fantastic review as usual Rebecca!!! I had heard nothing about this launch... makes me a bit sad this hasn’t been given more attention given how Bobbi Brown revolutionised the make up industry over the years and gave people like me the confidence to embrace ourselves and that I didn’t need to ‘hide’ myself with make up, and that it didn’t matter that I didn’t look like the latest cover girl. I grew up reading her make up book cover to cover, and my first blush and eyeshadow came from her original line ❤️ Off now to pick up a couple of things from her line.... thank you so much for your review 🥰
You’re so right, Becca. Before anyone, before any celebrity makeup line, there was Bobbi!!!! Why this hasn’t gotten much hype is very confusing to me and I’m suspicious about a back story?????? I’ll find out. I’m thrilled to support her. We all owe her gratitude. She def made the beauty industry female centered. Funny to think that it hadn’t been before but it had not been. 💕

Oh my gosh Rebecca thank you for teaching me all the things :) i was inspired to take a rather light lid color and built it up and up and up and my gosh I love how it looks. Usually i take one color, put it here, and deepen it. But this! I love how dreamy this looks!!
Thank you so much! Bobbi Brown really is the master of the light, "no makeup" look. And this new brand of hers is so interesting and innovative but still very comfortable, casual, PRETTY makeup. It's why we all wear makeup, as her top makeup artist for red carpet told me that day, we wear makeup to look pretty. Bobbi Brown almost invented it! :) xx

I just bought the balm in au natural … just using it as a highlighter on cheeks & lips & dotted around… sticky at first but not for long - I think the key is not to use more than you need 😁
I like the ash & antique rose eye shadows & blue eye liner which is a lovely mid-tone navy when smudged - nice!
Also got a couple of face pencils which I’m not sure about (I love a liquid foundation) but are handy touch up sticks to carry when out n about 👍
Bought the pencil sharpener too to take my parcels into free delivery status 😂

Hello there! Thank you for the lovely compliments. I appreciate it. I really think that Bobbi Brown is taking her time with this line. It’s only recently become available in the UK. But I am sorry to hear that the shipping is still that slow. I have a feeling they will pick up some speed as they grow the collection. But it seems to be a real labor of love for her so I feel like she is not rushing and is just putting out products that she really believes in. It’s very convenient and reliable and really puts forth her aesthetic of clean, easy beauty.

FYI regarding the balm - you’re supposed to “break” the seal - meaning you need to break the harder top layer. Otherwise it’s really mostly transparent. Bobbi has a whole video on the site about how to use the balm.
Once you break it - could u please update regarding performance?

Yay! We are on the same page, Chiara!!!! 💕 💕 It’s not getting a lot of attention. No idea why. Super small collection right now, maybe? Have had this one up my sleeve for a while. Needed to double check on my end no conflict of interest for a magazine I write for but alllll good. I was so excited to talk about it. She’s a goddess. 💕

And it makes me so sad because I really wish her success after she felt like Bobbi Brown cosmetics was not her place anymore.
Yes. It’s getting very little attention for a reason. Thankfully it’s still very new so they can watch and adjust. Hopefully they will grow well. I’ll certainly keep my eye on it! Xx

That is so so so true. The ultra pigmented shades are great for arm swatches and, in that sense, are actually kind of new. On the eyes, I never mind building up as long as the shades don’t skip. Wow, yes, this is the first time I am hearing about this!! Thank you!!!!!!!! 💕 I learned so much from Bobbi Brown back in the day. I really respect her philosophy and her aesthetics. She is a true pioneer and inspired so many of us to enhance our natural beauty in a gentle and embracing way. “Enhancing natural beauty with makeup” is actually a HUGE concept; definitely not as simple or trivial as it sounds. When you start to think about it, it’s almost revolutionary in a way-and why did I say “almost”?? Because “revolutionary” is a big word, but you know what?? Think about this. The concept is indeed that big. I am so happy that she is back. Why isn’t everyone talking about this????? It doesn’t make sense to me. She is an icon.
The concept is absolutely verging on revolutionary. I agree. At the time, the beauty industry was run by men and was built on hiding “flaws,” objectification and unattainable aspiration. It’s still that way a bit today but nowhere near. Enhancing what already makes you beautiful was what Bobbi Brown pioneered and still champions. It’s the ultimate pro woman statement and entirely changed the beauty industry. Why isn’t this new line being discussed? I’m not sure. Are they laying low until it’s perfected? Or is it a targeted hit? It’s odd and suspish. 💕

I’m aware that my YT feed is all beauty and otters (in love with these babies), and the beauty portion (95%) was inundated with reviews of that line. The iconic BB is literally nowhere to be found. If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t know about this. I am super curious too!!!!!! Oh yeah, there is definitely a back story here. Is it findable outable????? Hmmm... let me know if you do find out. Oh goodness, I'm so sorry you stumbled across such an old video. This is when the brand was new and I was still learning about them. Have done a ton of videos on Jones Road since then and even worked with the brand so I definitely break the seal now. ❤️

@@50781975 Bobbi Brown is most definitely the OG of correctors and shades like orange to cover dark circles etc. I completely agree. I got two shades. She says her goal is for everyone to own three or four shades. I figured let’s see how two work out. I’ll do a good demo for you to see 💕
